Error lights for paper and cartridge

The error lights for paper feeding problems and cartridge jams are both on. I have checked both the paper feeding and the movement of the cartridge. There are no problems in either area (no paper is jammed anywhere and the cartridge can move freely). Yet, I cannot get the two error lights to go away, even when I unplugged the printer, disconnect the power cord and press the cancel button. I've tried everything in the step-by-step troubleshooting on the HP website, and I also downloaded the complete software package from HP and checked for driver updates. What else is there to do? Is this printer compatible with MacOS "Yosemite"?

HI John,
You can try 1 more step.Unplug the printer cable while the printer is turned ON.Wait for 60 seconds.Connect the power cable back to the printer.Remove the ink cartridges and place them back again.If this step does not work,then it is a hardware issue with printer and needs to be replaced.

Error msg for UIComponent and correct style/icons for associated label

I am using the "error(UIComponent component, String summary)" method on a page bean to set an error message for a specific UI component from a submit event handler, which is great because that shows an error message next to the component that caused the problem in the first place. For instance, if I get a data integrity error such as duplicate key from the data layer, I can use this approach to tell the user which UI component is causing the problem.
However, the "error" method does not set the error icon and the correct style (e.g. bold and red) for any associated labels in the same way a validator does. Does anyone know a way to achieve this from an action event handler. Keep in mind that I am referring to errors such as data integrity errors which can only be detected when you are already running the action event handler, which means the validation phase has already been done.

Error(), fatal(), info() and warn() issue FacesMessages that get picked up by the MessageGroup component.
By adding in the uicomponent you can target the facesMessage so that it gets picked up by the Message component associated with the field causing the error.
But, to get the label to show the error as well, you need to throw a validationError. See this tutorial for more informaiton:

Single sourcing tools for paper and html help

Hi
Today I started a new job where html help is made in RoboHelp
and the paper manual is made in Word. Both are translated to 5
languages, so the translators also use Word and RoboHelp.
Unfortunately there is no single sourcing at all.
I want to introduce single-sourcing so that I use the same
source for output to html help and paper.
I am used to FrameMaker for paper output and the WebWorks
Publisher plugin for the html help output.
If I were alone I might use FrameMaker and Madcap Blaze. I
think however that I can introduce one but not two new tools for
the 5 translators.
What Is your suggestion? Which tools should I use? Word
hasn't the conditional text feature I need. I don't belive that
RoboHelp can create a Word output which lives up to the Company
design standards. Besides, will Robohelp live, does it works under
Window Vista?

Hi Polle2. First of all there are many users on these forums
who use RH to single source with no problems. Sure RH single
sourcing requires a little thought and set-up - just like most our
"true single source" tools. There's a new version of RH planned
(version X6) and currently in beta test but we won't know what
included in it until it's formally released.
As far as product comparisons are concerned, I've not used
Madcap Blaze and neither has anyone else as I believe it's not
released yet. My two penneth worth is you are right to go down the
single sourcing line and that RH - and other tools - could all fit
the bill. It all depends on which one fits your specific
needs.

Green light for volume and brightness

I have a T-61. I just found out that the green light that shows up in the lower center of my moniter for volume and brightness has disappeared. Could someone help me to have the green light back on again?

Hello I have Adobe reader 10.1.6 on my computer but it will not load I get 2 error codes a 2503 and 2502 if I try to uninstall the programe i get the same codes can you help

Error Messages for iTunes and Quicktime, what do I do?

Hello, I'm in need of some help.
Let me walk you all through what I did for the last 4 hours:
(important note: I suck at far too much computer stuff, so I am fully aware that as you read the following, at certain points I probably made the problem much worse than it needed to be, I am not proud of this, but everything you read did happen, stupid as it probably was for me to pursue the problems in the particular way that I did. Hindsight is 20/20.)
I updated my iTunes v7.7 to v8.0 today, and after trying it out for a while decided that I didn't like it and wanted to go back to what I was using before.
So, because I didn't know what else to do, I tried to re-install the original iTunes software that came with my iPod (a 20gig classic I bought in 2004). That version of iTunes was v6.0 (again, 3 years ago).
Part way through the installation process, I got a message that said that, because I had a newer version of iTunes on the computer already, it wouldn't install the version on the disk.
So I uninstalled v8.0, restarted my computer, and installed the v6.0 from the CD-ROM I had.
It was then that I found I had NONE of the 6000+ songs in my iTunes window. I checked my computers files to find that they were still in the library, but my iTunes screen was completely devoid of all my music.
So I tried to get it all back on the player. I discovered that by right-clicking "Play" for the individual files from the folders in my iTunes that they would come up on the player, but that meant that I'd be clicking in 6000+ songs, one by one, till they were all back. I didn't want to do that.
So I tried a system restore (again, read "important note" at top of post). After that happened and I was looking at my desktop again, tried opening iTunes, and it gave me a message that said:
"iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
And it asks if I wanna send an error report. I decline, then try opening Quicktime. Same message. So I try to uninstall both programs (i know, i know, "important note"), and iTunes uninstalls, Quicktime does not, because, as my computer puts it, "a fatal error occurs."
But since I have iTunes uninstalled, I go to apples site and download iTunes v8.0 again. After waiting for all that to get done, I get the same error message.
So I peruse this very discussion forum, and after looking for a good while at what is being recommended I go to a site and download v7.7 again.
Again, I get the same error message.
So here I am. I've tried working it out myself for the last 4 hours, and I seem to have made things worse.
So please, please, PLEASE, I ask for any help you can provide.
Can I get my iTunes back?
Is my Quicktime corrupted now?
Am I totally screwed?

I had the same problem when I went to upgrade to 8 and then downgrade back to 7.7. To fix this is a little involved, but you can do it. Let me put it this way, I talked my mother through it on the phone, and she has a hard time finding the power button So no worries, I'll help you get back up and running. I am running Vista now, so I am going off of memory for Vista, so bear with me.
I would do the following:
1. Uninstall both iTunes and Quicktime by going to Control Panel-Add Remove Programs, and choosing first Quicktime then iTunes.
2. Clean your registry. Easy now, it is not that hard. To do it, go to http://www.ccleaner.com/download and download CCleaner. It is free and has NO spyware. Install it and run the registry cleaner. It will remove any trace of both programs from the registry. Now you have 2 choices.
3a. Now I would install iTunes 8. Because you already installed it once, it converted its database file that it uses to track the library and play lists up to the iTunes 8 standard.
3b. If you have no problem loosing your playlists and library settings, you can go back to iTunes 7.7. To do this, first search for "itunes.ttl". To do this, go to Start-Search Files and Folders- and type in "iTunes.ttl" Once the search finishes, it will tell you where it is located. Navigate there using Windows Explorer or My Computer and delete it. Now you can install iTunes 7.7 with out any errors. You will not loose any files! just your playlists and it will not remember what is in your library.
As far as adding your songs again, did you try to re-importing your music? If you go to the file menu-add folder to library. It will bring up a dialogue box that will allow you to browse to the folder with your music.

the problem is on the second scene where you add the eventlistener to but1.
if you remove that then the error doesn't appear anymore.

Handle Error in for Loop and finish the iteration

I am using a for Loop now i encounter an error.
i want to handle this error but after that carry on with iteration of the loop.
Any Parallel to "Continue" in JAVA or any other solution for this...
Please Suggest.

You can use pl/sql block with exception inside the loop

First have you set the Quicktime streaming setting, goto sys prefs/quicktime/streaming/streaming speed, set to 1.5mbps
In ichats prefs click on video and change bandwidth limit to 500.
Restart iChat.

R800 printing error on roll paper

Hi there,
I have an Epson R800 printer.
It worked perfectly fine with my Windows PC.
Then I bought a Mac, hoping everything would work just as fine.
Not so.
When I try to print on roll paper, although both Preview and Lightroom show the paper of the correct size (custom size selected from page setup, with the right dimensions), when I go in to the print options pane and look at the "summary" tab, it shows A4 as paper format.
And indeed the printer prints just the central part of the picture on the roll as if it were an A4 sheet
This has become very frustrating, not to mention the expense in paper and cartridges...
Any help, anyone?

Well, the roll is 10m long, so in theory (and, sadly enough, in Windows XP) I could print a whole roll at once.
Indeed, I have printed (sadly, with a 5-year-old laptop PC running Windows XP SP2) a 2-meter panorama with neither fuss nor hassle.
Now, if neither Apple nor Epson are able to write a decent driver for a photographic printer (on the market for several years, now) under Leopard, well, I found it very, very, very unpleasant.
And I feel deprived of the undeniable right of using my existing peripherals, which, according to Apple's own ads, keep on being compatible with every issue of the new OS.
I hope 10.5.2 brings some improvements on this issue

I have a canon MG3200 printer. I have had this thing a whole TWO DAYS! i had issue after issue setting it up and then finally getting it to print the other day when I got it home. A simple 5 minute print job on any of the other printers I used to have, and it took almost 35 minutes to produce an almost decent quality for some important paperwork that I had to have in the following morning. Aside from that- (I just took that to mean it was the "learning" curve) I now tried to print a simple, one page document. Postage for a package to go out tomorrow morning via USPS. Lo and behold, it had a paper jam immediately. A bad one. Had to spend more than an hour searching around for ways to even get the covers off in order to pull the paper free. Got it cleared out, now the P-2-0, or 5100 error message is just blinking away. I've taking it back apart in the back 3 times now, taken the ink cartridges out and looked for paper jammed, not found anything, and now the blinking error won't go away. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to clear that error message??? I am about ready to return this printer to walmart, and get a different one. If it wn't work, then it does me no good. There is a way to reset the machine to clear out the error. I would need to know the exact model of your Canon.

Error light comes on PSC 1315 with new cartridge used as copier

Error light comes on with new cartridge when PSC 1315 is used as copier (computer not connected.)
When computer is on, software detects cartridge and there is no error message. Unit will not print
or copy. Any help appreciated.

hp 1315X all in one.......when I turn on printer the 'check print cartridge light' goes on and I cannot print.
After it sits for a week or so, it might operate for just one copying job then goes back to above problem.
Have taken cartridges out and put back but the check print cartridge light goes on and cannot dtermine if it
is black or color problem . Is it worth taking to repair? Thanks

LaserWriter 8500 Error Lights and LAN connection

I recently bought a used LaserWriter 8500. I plugged it in to my network, put in some paper, and powered it up. The printer seemed to start normally, then the green light toward the front began to flash for about 1 minute. After that, it went out and the two yellow lights closest to the back started to flash (The paper out and paper jam lights). I looked for jammed paper in the printer, but found none. When I opened up the back of the printer, the paper jam light went out until I closed the door and it started to flash again. I left the printer on for 2 hours and came back and the lights were still flashing. Does anyone know what I can do to get the printer to work?
Also, I tried to find the printer in the Printer Setup Utility in Mac OS X, but couldn't. (Maybe because of the errors?) Does anyone know how to get the computer to talk to the printer through a LAN?

Repeating the on - off procedure several times may get it working because there is a sensor that checks the fuser temperature and if it finds that it did not reached the correct setting it will display the 2 error lights. If you can feel heat coming from the fuser this means that it is not heating up fast enough to reach the correct temperature in time. Turning it on and off resets the timer but the fuser is now part warmed up and may reach the required temperature for it to pass the sensor check. If you are able to get it to start up, keep it on at all times, as you will have the same problem when you try to restart it again.

My ipod shuffle 1st generation won't restore. There is an error that reads "The ipod cannot be restored. An unknown error has ocurred (1442)". The lights blink orange and green simultaneously...and it just won't restore. help?

In similar cases, my solution is to "select all" then "deselect" only the artwork I want to keep and "delete". If I'm curious I may "cut" then "paste" to see what shows up in the center of the screen. it is usually some stray point. or other element out direct sight.
