This is what I got:
Verify Disk = volume header needs minor repairs. The volume MAC HD needs to be repaired.
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit.
HFS volume checked: volume needs repair.
Any help would mean a lot. I love my MBP and wanna keep her tip top!

Boot to your install cd and repair the disk.
While computer is turned on, insert install disk one. Allow the disk to load, then close the installer window and go to the apple menu in upper left hand corner and choose "shut down."
When computer is shut down, turn the computer back on. After releasing the power button, immediately press and hold the "C" key until you get to a screen asking to use English as main language. This may take several minutes as the computer is booting from the disk and not the hard drive.
When you reach this screen, choose your language and click the continue arrow just once. Allow the installer screen to load.
Along the top of the display where your menu bar shows, go to the "Utilities" menu and select Disk Utility. Select the Macintosh HD, then select "Repair disk" on the first aid screen.
When the disk utility is done repairing, close the disk utility and go to the Installer menu option at the top of the screen and select "quit installer." When it asks what you would like to do, you can select Restart or Startup Disk.

Getting an error in the preview but no errors or warnings in the error list

I've got a SSRS report, originally written using SQL Server 2005, that I just upgraded to SQL Server 2012. I'm using the SQL Server Data Tools that you're supposed to work with now. I had to change the query and remove one of the fields returned by one of
the datasets in the report. I had some problems, but have worked through it.
Now I can run the application, if I specify my .RDL file as the starting item. However, within the SSDT development environment, if I try to preview the report I'll get the following:
"An error occurred during local report processing.
An error occurred during rendering of the report.
An error occurred during rendering of the report.
Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.
Parameter name: index"
But the Error List shows no problems at all. Everything is fine. Everything works. And yet, there's nothing in the preview except for the error messages I've listed above.
So, how can there be "no errors, warning or messages" and yet there's nothing to be seen in the preview? And why does it work when I run it in SSDT?

Hi Rod,
It's probably caused by data caching in the designer. When you changed the query and remove one of the fields returned by one of the datasets in the report, the dataset definition has been changed, but the actual cached data stored by Visual Studio (i.e.
the *.rdl.data file) still has data based on the old Dataset definition when reprocessing the report. This is in internal error caused by the mismatch between the data the report is expecting and what has been cached.
In this scenario, we can delete the *.rdl.data files from the drive, hit the "Refresh Fields" under the dataset properties for my dataset, then try previewing again.

List View webpart from subsite to Top site shows random error "List Does not exist"

Hi All,
We have a list in subsite and we are creating a view for that list which we are showing in one of the top site home page. We have taken care of changing the web and list guid of list view webpart when we added on top site. Its working fine but some time
shows error "list does not exist" but when we refresh the error goes. Is it known issue or if there is any workaround for this? because we cannot go live with this random error.

Generate error list with object detail

Dear All,
I have two way (multimaster ) Replication but due to some reason it generated many errors during replicate data so to resolve errors, I want to generate error list (Report) with object details instead viewing them one by one. please guide

What do you mean with generate error list (Report) with object details ?
You can get all the errors from DEFERROR view.
There are columns DEFERRED_TRAN_ID and CALLNO.
You can join this columns with DEFCALL (DEFERRED_TRAN_ID and CALLNO).
Joining this two views will provide information about the objects and transaction type involved in the call.
DEFCALL.PACKAGENAME contains the reference to the table_name.
DEFCALL.PROCNAME contains information about the transaction type.
Example:

       e.origin_tran_db,
       c.packagename,
       c.procname
from deferror e, defcall c
where e.deferred_tran_id=c.deferred_tran_id

VA88 - Error list of settlement run displays irrelevant sales orders

Hi All,
This is a problem relating to transaction VA88 for settlement of sales orders into COPA. The error list of the settlement run is unnecessarily long since it also includes old, irrelevant sales orders that have no postings since the last VA88 run.
'Old' sales orders without recent postings on them are considered in the settlement run despite having the indicator "check trans. data" switched on in the VA88 selection screen.
What could be the reason???
Ideally, system should ignore the irrelevant sales orders (those without any transactional postings since the last settlement) if we select the "check transactional data" option in the VA88 selection screen
Any suggestions, thoughts, solutions would be highly appreciated.

Please see below. Transaction data checks are not made in the following situations, even
if the indicator is set:
1. The sender has a results analysis key, and an accrual calculation
    was already executed. In Customizing for accrual calculation, line
    item updates are not active for a version relevant for settlement.
2. The sender has a variance key and variances have already been
    determined.
3. The sender is a capital investment measure and has the technically
    completed status. Alternatively, the sender is an investment measur
    and the settlement was started with processing type 3.
4. The settlement rule was changed since the last settlement.
5. There is a valid distribution rule for fixed amounts.
6. Both a periodic distribution rule and an overall distribution rule
    have been defined for the settlement of costs with the same origin,
    and only the periodic distribution rule was used for the last
    settlement.
Basically you should see if any of these scenarios exist in your case. Item no. 6 looks like the most probable cause. Please check them again.

Actually I am not aware of such list and if there is such list exposed by SAP at all.
Anyway, for MAM I think it is a good idea to have a look in the file WEB-INF/classes/MAMText.properties (or directly in java/MAMText.properties, if you
have the sources). In this file you can search for the property keys' strings containing ERR inside e.g.
NOTIF_ERR_MISSING_CAU_NOT=Missing cause notification number
I think this is a straightforward task and you will get the complete(?) list of non-runtime
errors in MAM.

[Error]List attribute binding not properly updating Iterator value

Hi,
I created an ADF Form page with ADF navigation buttons. Along with that I added Create, Commit and Rollback buttons in the form. One of my attributeValue binding i changed it to dynamic list binding with another iterator (LOV style). I removed all field required properties to false and put showRequried property with corresponding binding attribute mandatory option in order to avoid alert messages. I also removed disabled option of commit and rollback to false option so that every time it will be enabled. There are fields in the form which are set as mandatory from entity. List is also a mandatory attribute.
When I press next, pervious buttons List points to corresponding LOV value perfectly. Now I press create and press submit without filling mandatory fields, JBO error is thrown. e.g. "JBO-27014: Attribute RociType in RociView is required". Now i press Rollback button, it comes back to first record. but List is showing empty. Again if i press Next button also, list value shows empty. When I printed the value of List attribute in an outputText #{bindings.RociType.inputValue} shows blank and #{bindings.RociType.attributeValue} shows orginal record value. #{bindings.RociType.inputValue} should show the corresponding index of iterator. Somehow after rollback this index is not properly updating.
Please help to solve this problem.

After doing debug I understood that Rollback is not clearning Error list inside IteratorBinding. Due to that it is not getting proper input value. Please find the code for getInputValue() inside JUCtrlListBinding class.

There are may errors avaliable in oracle database.You could type one sh and can monitor your alert.log by checkin ORA* errors.
I suggest monitor ORA-600 or ORA-7445 errors in your alert.log which is i belive most critical errors

When the error list is open, my LabVIEW 8.2 slows down dramatically.

When the error list is open, my LabVIEW 8.2 slows down dramatically. I am also using a project window and LabVIEW DSC with shared variables. Has anyone seen this before and is there a fix.

While using 7.1 on a very old, slow, broken computer I experienced a slow down while my complex VI was running and my error window was open. I also experienced a similar slow down when I opened pretty much anything on that computer...
Are you operating on a very old, slow, and broken computer? Or perhaps you are experiencing a memory leak?

Error list and class hierarchy unexpected refresh

I'm running LabVIEW 2013 Service Pack 1
There is an irritating issue that I am sure I have never come across before, in that the Error list, class hierarchy window, VI hierarchy window, and I am sure other UI elements are refreshing themselves every few seconds.
For example:
Open the class/VI hierarchy window and browse around. In a couple of seconds the pane will refresh its position to hte top left corner.
Ensure that the error window has enough errors and warnings (show warnings is reccommended!) that it shows a scrollbar. Scroll down and sellect/highlight an item (this happens naturally if you ctrl-L from a VI). Scroll up/down the list and in a couple of seconds the list focus will move back to the highlighted item.
This is really, REALLY irritating me with refactoring a large project. Has anyone else seen this, and is it fixable?

That's some pretty strange behaviour, just tried to test it on a machine with 2013 SP1 and another with just 2013; but this behaviour wasn't observed?
Aside from the standard steps like restarting LabVIEW, or turning your machine on/off; you could try do a repair operation on LabVIEW to correct this?
Hopefully someoneone else can pitch in who has experienced similar behaviour recently...

I have been having the same issue for the last two weeks. No real indication as to why it ever began other than I had turned off my router and Airport Extreme Base Station off for a weekend while I was away from my place.
iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, all have no issues at all with my Airport Extreme Base Station. Can stay connected throughout my living room, bathroom, bedroom, no issues whatsoever.
My 5 month old MacBook Pro 2.66 GHz Core i7 Airport is sometimes perfect, able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue. Then, for no reason, I won't be able to join my wireless network, or when I can join, I can't pick up an IP address. And then it will connect, pick up and IP, and then it won't browse. No real rhyme or reason to when this will happen, or when it works.
I thought that it was an issue with my MacBook Pro, but then my sister visited with her brand new MacBook Pro 2.26 Intel Core 2 Duo, and while a month ago she was able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue, this weekend she had all of the same issues I was having.
My XBOX 360 and MacBook Pro have absolutely no issues with the wired connection. Only my WAN seems to have this issue.
Did you ever find anything more to this?

Adobe Acrobat XI - Preflight tool - error List of CIDs missing in CIDSet of embedded CID font

I am generating a PDF documents with use of Apache FOP where fonts are pasted to the document. I am getting an error "List of CIDs missing in CIDSet of embedded CID font" and I am curious. Since the cid is not found in the provided font how acrobat is able to find the correct character? I also run analyse which checks if all text in the file use embedded fonts and the result was fine.
Could you explain this behaviour?
What kind of problems may result from missing the cids?

So it is (how Bill@VT said) problem of generating the result pdf document. Does a font have to meet some requirements? Because I can see the characters in a font viewer but after embedding I see the error.
Also I would like to ask for correction and if I get righ how the correct character is found.
We work with TTF fonts.
1. For embedded fonts
pdf file contains table with glyf ID and glyf representation
pdf file contains cmap which maps Character code (unicode) and glyfID
during rendering a file finding correct glyf is clear since we have character code
2. CID fonts
pdf file contains table with glyf ID and glyf representation
pdf file contains CID table wich maps CID and glyfID ( CIDToGIDMap)
pdf file contains table which maps character code (Identity-H, Unicode) to CID
during rendering we have character code and we get CID
based on CID is looked up character metrics
based on CID is found glyf representation
Is here something what I am missing or I forgot to point out?

Error list in VI scripting

Is it possible to see the error list of a VI created by VI scripting? Preferably the same error list you get when you press a broken run button.
If a VI is created, but not executable, you get an error 1003 ("LabVIEW: The VI is not executable...") when trying to run it. But this doesn't specify what's wrong with the VI.
Now I have to manually open the VI and check whats wrong. Is there another option?

Hello pcardinale,
The "Get Errors" method you're talking about doesn't directly ring a bell for me (at least not at the level of the standard VI Methods).
One thing that might have caused confusion is that clicking a Broken Run Arrow is not the same as calling the Run Method for a VI.
When clicking a Broken Run Arrow another "function" gets called that checks the Block Diagram to see what is "wrong" with the VI (that has the Broken Run Arrow).
The fact that the Run Arrow is broken already indicates that it the code cannot be run, so therefore the LabVIEW Development Environment doesn't execute a "run" anymore.
I would have to double-check with someone to see if the code that is used for the creation of the Error List is directly available.
Before doing this there are some questions that are open at my side:
- Would you like to have only the error list reported?
- In other words: What are you planning to do in your scripting code with this error list?

Internet Explorer Branding failed due to the error listed below Server 2012 R2

After upgrading my AD and 1 DC of my two DC's to Server 2012 R2 I am seeing the error.
Internet Explorer Branding failed due to the error listed below.
The specified procedure could not be found.
This is because the Group policy "Internet Explorer Branding" is defined.
All discussion groups I have been able to find, suggest going onto the Windows 2008 R2 DC and use GPEDIT to remove this policy. Unfortunately, it does not appear where it should.
How do I delete it?

How to show "Error List" in SSMS ?

For unknown reason, when we open the SSMS, we get "Error List" in the bottom.
There are columns like: Description / File / Line / Column in the "Error List".
We just wonder how to turn it on / off ?
