Error loading Crystal 2008 on windows 7

I get an error when loading crystal reports 2008, the error is "ERROR 2753. The file "agent.exe.6ED28686_7B19_420C_B255_
5B6C1BD2C705" is not marked for installation"  The PC in running windows 7.

Hi There,
I am having the exact same error message. My OS is WIn7 Professional 64-bit.
I assume it's related to the fact that I have a 64-bit Windows version.

  • "Error loading operating system" in windows 7 bootcamp

    Hello, Im trying to boot up my windows 7 and its giving me "Error loading operating system". But the wierd thing is from Mac OS X i can access my bootcamp without any problem "browsing it", all my music is on it actually. Any solutions guys?

    Hi guys,
    Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I am suddenly having a very similar problem and maybe one of you can help me.  I have searched the problem using many different phrases but have not found a solution to my specific issue anywhere so I turned here.
    Problem : I am getting the "Error Loading Operating System" error on the windows side after trying to boot up using BootCamp.
    More Info / History :  Everything was running fine until I updated OSX to 10.10.02.  I have an unsupported card with no EFI : GTX 980 so I couldn't tell what was going on with the update but it just hung in black screen for a while and then when into an infinite restart-loop.  Sooooo, I pulled the card and put my old GTX 120 with EFI back in to see what the **** was going on and miraculously it decided to finish the update.  (Maybe it had something to do with the unsupported card? IDK)  The update finished successfully after i swapped out the cards but I fear i screwed up something by restarting during the update (I was hung up, I waited a very long time before hitting the power button).  OSX is running ok, I put the other card back in and it is working ok now, but...  BootCamp was working...  once.  Then I restarted and it wouldn't work, I got the error message.  So I tried doing a verify/repair disk on both drives, OSX and W7, and that didn't do anything, so I tried to start BootCamp assistant and I couldn't...  So I reset the PRAM and that fixed the problem with BootCamp Assistant, so now that starts up, but I don't know if I can repair the issue with it?  However I still can't boot into Windows.  Again, when I hold down option on boot, I do get the menu (BootCamp?) to choose which OS to go into.  Side Note, when I pick Recovery Mode from that menu, I get the mac error message and it restarts.
    All the W7 Files are still present on the drive...  Is there any way I can back up the image, re-prep the drive for BootCamp and re-image it to repair it?  All thoughts, suggestions, etc. welcome.

    I know this has been marked as answered, but I would just like to mention when designing reports for Excel output, the key thing
    to remember is the design and layout of your report. You have to work on a strict grid layout concept, and make sure all items are
    lined up 100% else columns or rows are inserted in strange places, making the output look very ugly. But if you can line everything
    up nicely then I believe any report that can be displayed in Excel.
    Keeping in mind that if the report is to be output as Excel the whole design and logic must be geared for this, so page headers
    and footers are no longer relevant, in fact the whole "page" concept must be ignored when working with Excel as there are
    no pages in a spreadsheet application like Excel.
    That all being said, I dont know what your reports are about and am not saying they are not too complex for Excel,
    just wanted to make a note so that people dont think Excel output using CR4E is a bad option.

  • Runtime Error  loading Crystal Reports 2008

    Hi there
    I have recently purchased online in the sap site the bundled product that includes SAP Crystal Reports and SAP Crystal Dashboard Design on the sap website. For those I received only one key code
    I downloaded both products and manage to installed and load SAP Crystal Dashboard Design. I have installed SAP Crystal Reports (CR2008LPs_02142011.exe) everything goes well. When I start the program it loads for a second and then I get the following error:
    u201C Runtime Error!
    Program: c:\Program Files\Businessu2026
    This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
    Please contact the application support team for more information.u201D
    My OS is Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit
    I have tried the following:
    u2022     Uninstalling and reinstalling again
    u2022     Downloading the file again from the sap site in case the file was corrupted
    u2022     I have uninstalled CR and download the SAP Crystal Reports trial version from SAP site
    u2022     Trying to navigate to the registry to clear the registry for recent files (as I have seen in this thread Crystal Reports 2008 Runtime Error) . I get the following error message when I click on u201CHKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Business Objects/Suite 12.0/Crystal Reports/Recent Filesu201D. Error:
    "Error opening Hey:
    Crystal Reports cannot be opened
    An error is preventing this key from being opened
    Details: Access is denied"
    I have been unsuccessful with all the above.
    I would appreciate if someone could help.
    Thanks in advance and regards,
    Santiago

    Hi Santiago,
    That error suggests you are not a local PC administrator. CR installs require you use an account that can update registry keys etc.
    Talk to your IT guys to give you full access to your PC or log on as the local PC Administrator and install it again.
    Thank you

  • Error while trying to load Crystal report via Windows service

    Hi,
    I am trying to generate PDF file using crystal reports. I have developed a console application which works absolutely fine, however when I converted the code to work as windows service (wcf hosted in Windows service), this below error I see from stack trace:
    Load report failed.

    The code used is:
    CrystalDecisions.Shared.ExportFormatType exportFormat;
    ReportDocument reportObj = new ReportDocument();
    exportFormat = CrystalDecisions.Shared.ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat;
    //Load the Crystal Report
    reportObj.Load("CrystalReport.rpt");
    reportObj.SetDataSource(dt);
    What might be going wrong here?

  • Error With Crystal Reports On Windows Server 2012

    Hello,
    I have a VB.NET exe application created in Visual Studio 2010 that prints a crystal report directly to the printer.  On Windows Server 2008 it worked fine but it does not work on Windows Server 2012.  The report was originally created in Crystal Reports 2011.  I have read elsewhere that in order to run a Crystal Report on WS 2012 that it needs to be created using Crystal Reports for Visual Studio.  So I installed the developer version of Crystal Reports for Visual Studio (v. 13.0.8.1216).  I opened the report in Visual Studio and saved it.  I then installed the CRRuntime_64bit_13_0_8.msi on the WS 2012.  My vb.net exe has the CrystalDecisions assemblies shown below.  When I try to run the exe I get the error below.  Does anyone have any idea as to what I am doing wrong?  Thank you for your input.
    Unhandled Exception: System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'PrintWorkOrderAndDrawing.PrintWorkOrderAndDrawing' threw an exception. ---> System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.En
    gine.ReportDocument' threw an exception. ---> CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LoadSaveReportException: An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime. Either the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient,
    or the Crystal Reports runtime is not installed correctly. Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (x86, x64, or Itanium) required.  Please go to http://
    www.businessobjects.com/support for more information.

    Hi Thomas
    First the info re.;
    I have read elsewhere that in order to run a Crystal Report on WS 2012 that it needs to be created using Crystal Reports for Visual Studio.
    is incorrect. CRVS will run all reports down to CR 9 without issues. And even reports created in older versions will, for the most part, work just fine.
    The error is rather strange as it normally indicates that an incorrect runtime has been installed. However in your case as you are using CR 13.0.8.1216 and  the 64bit_13_0_8.msi that does not look to be the case. I would like you to double check the CR references in the project. Say, crystaldecisions.crystalreports.engine. It should be version 13.0.2000.0.
    If that is confirmed, then we may be at the permissions mentioned in the error. And I'd use Process Monitor for that. Filter ProcMon for the app exe and run the app. Look at the logs for "Access denied" messages. In the log, look for CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine, see what the exe is doing with it. Where is it trying to load it from? Etc., etc.

  • Error loading JSF page popup window - Cannot find FacesContext

    Hello,
    I am trying to load a popup window from my Visual Web JSF page. The popup window itself will be a Visual Web JSF page also.
    As an example, i have 2 buttons on my original page with jsp tags as follows::
    <webuijsf:button binding="#{Page1.button1}" id="button1" onClick="window.showModelessDialog('./PopupPage.jsp'); return false;"
    style="left: 19px; top: 16px; position: absolute" text="Button"/>
    <webuijsf:button actionExpression="#{Page1.button2_action}" binding="#{Page1.button2}" id="button2"
    onClick="window.showModelessDialog('./PopupPage.jsp');" style="position: absolute; left: 20px; top: 44px" text="Button"/>
    When i click Button1, the popup window appears but will not load the page within the window. I get the following report in the server log:
    StandardWrapperValve[jsp]: PWC1406: Servlet.service() for servlet jsp threw exception
    java.lang.RuntimeException: Cannot find FacesContext
    at javax.faces.webapp.UIComponentClassicTagBase.getFacesContext(UIComponentClassicTagBase.java:1811)

    at org.apache.jsp.PopupPage_jsp._jspService(PopupPage_jsp.java from :77)
    ETC ETC
    If i click Button2 (which does NOT return false in the onclick Script and thus submits the first page) the first attempt fails with the same error, but if i try a second time the popup window displays and loads the page correctly.
    Any solutions would be greatly appreciated as this is driving me crazy :-s
    Edited by: coxy69 on Jan 9, 2008 10:29 PM

    Cannot find FacesContextThis generally indicates that you invoked a request which points to a JSP page which contains JSF tags, but that the request itself isn't passed through the FacesServlet. Make sure that the request URL is covered by the url-pattern setting of the FacesServlet in the web.xml.

  • "Invalid Export Option" Crystal 2008 SP3, Windows 7, Outlook 2010 (32 bit)

    We have one client reporting that they get "Invalid Export Option" whenever they try to email a report.  We used the supplied code with VS 2008 to implement the ability to view, print, export, and email reports.  Our Windows 7 computers all work without issue, except for the one with 64 bit Outlook (which is a known issue), so I'm guessing this is security/SPAM protection at the client, but it doesn't affect any of their XP computers.
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you for the info, much better.
    Have them download the trial version of CR 2008, they will have to do a Repair install of your app and CR runtime when they uninstall the trial version. Then see if they can export from the Designer.
    Or if you prefer they not have access to the designer then use ProcessMonitor and follow along as they try to export, look for access Denied entries. I assume all other export formats work? Most have a pop up also to see if it's a CR issue.
    There are few options for security settings in Outlook itself to not prompt but like you say it appears they are not even getting that far. Could be the pop up is behind your app, I've seen this happen before.
    I did a google search and found quite a few posts on this issue. You may want to search also to see if something will help your user to get around this issue.
    Possibly adding your app EXE to the trusted list in their Anti-virus software may help also. And if you haven't done so look in the various logs in their AV and Firewall and even Event Viewer to see if it captures and access denied errors.
    Thanks
    Don

  • Crystal 2008 Runtime error on Windows Server 2008

    I have a simple ASP.Net web applications that is using reports developed in Crystal 2008.  My server OS is Windows Server 2008 and has the Crystal 2008 SP1 runtime controls installed.  When I run the application it works fine until I actually try to run the report.  As the paremeter screen is attempting to load I am getting several script errors on the page.
    _de is undefined, object not specified, bobj is undefinded are the major messages.  I have researched for several hours and have had no success.  I have come to the conclusion that the web page does not know where to find the .js and .css crystal files or does not have the correct permissions to access the files.
    One thing that I found online and tried was to add a line of code in the HTML that specified the script as java and the location of the JS file for the viewer.  This helped but still had errors.
    BTW....This application runs fine on a Windows Server 2003 SP2 OS.
    Anyone had the same issue?  Any help is greatly appreciated!
    Forgot to mention my development environment is VS 2008.

    I've read a lot of posts here regarding deploying on a 64-bit server, but I'm still confused.
    We use Visual Studio 2005 to develop on a Windows XP machine.  We use the built-in version of Crystal that comes with VS2005.
    We want to deploy the runtime to a Windows Server 2008 running 64-bit.  We want to deploy using the msi runtime components and not the merge modules.
    We end up with the message "An error has occurred while attempting to load Crystal Reports".
    So, the question is, can we build & deploy a 64-bit version, and if so, what are we doing wrong here ?  At first glance, I don't see VS 2005 as listing Windows 2008 as a supported platform, so am I dead in the water right there ?  If that's the case .... then what are my options ?
    Any help or pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated !
    Thank You,
    Wayne

    In a nut shell, the only two 64 bit versions of Crystal Reports are 10.2 (bundles with .NET 2005) and 10.5 (bundles with .NET 2008). All other versions of Crystal Reports are 32 bit only. • Authentication issues on Windows 7 with Internet Explorer 8 (Crystal 2008)

    Hi,
    We are in the process of migrating from Windows XP to Windows 7 (with Internet Explorer 8).
    I have noticed that a web application which depends on Crystal 2008 is behaving differently in the new environment. For example, when I try to load a report I get this error:
    Access to report file denied. Another program may be using it.
    I know that this error can be caused by a permissions problem on the Windows temp folder, and I know there are various ways of pinpointing the exact permissions problem and various ways of resolving if that's the case. The fix that worked for us in Windows XP does not seem to work in Windows 7. My gut feeling is that IE is passing credential in some way differently from how it did before.
    Since many aspects of security are so different in Windows 7 compared with XP, I was hoping to find some general guidelines from SAP/Crystal re: how to deploy or configure the client/server in this environment.
    Are there any general guidelines available?
    Thank you for any help... shannon

    Hi Shannon,
    Not really, CR assumes it can access all of it's dependencies so it is a permission issue. Other than the usual config issues with IIS, full access to the      emp folder, full permissions on the Viewer folder, setting the framework in App pool correctly, etc.
    Do you have Service Pack 3 installed for Cr 2008 and the latest Fix Pack 3.5?

  • Error while Connecting Crystal 2008 to SAP.

    Hi Experts,
    We have a trial version of crystal 2008 installed (The SAP integration Kit is also installed) and I am trying to connect to SAP and develop a report on the SAP Cubes. But when I try to make a Connection to SAP, I get the following error:

    Is this a licensing issue with SAP integration kit or Crystal?
