  • Error loading data into Essbase from the SQL Server

    Hello experts!
I've got another urgent and confusing issue. I am loading data from an SQL Server view into Essbase (which is reversed with multiple data columns) using ODI 11.1.1.5 and I get the following error at +"3-Loading -SrcSet0-Load Data"+ step:
ODI-1227: Task SrcSet0 (Loading) fails on the source MICROSOFT_SQL_SERVER connection.
    +Caused By: java.sql.SQLException: [FMWGEN][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'View'+
where "View" is the name of the dimension (non-data) column in the SQL view.
Please help me with any hints! Thank you so much!

    John, thank you so much!
    Your answer is exactly correct!
"View" is an object name in SQL Server so this word cannot be used as a column name in SQL Server tables. Once the name of the colunm changed from "View" to another, the interface runs without errors!

Increase the page size in odiparams.bat in the bin folder and restart Designer.

  • Error loading data into ODS object

    Hi,
I am trying to load some data into an ODS object, which actually does not seem very difficult. I got the InfoObjects  and structure of the ODS object all set up. Transfer rules are defined and I succeed in loading the data into PSA.
From there i trigger the forwarding into the ODS object. And this is what i get (I use the BI in German, so maybe the translations are not 100% correct):
    message missing: tranfer rules finished.
seems like the system does not get a esponse as to whether the transfer rules are worked through yet. this results in a timeout because nothing happens.
i'm sorry i cant give any more detailed information. maybe someone can give me a direcion in which to search for mistakes.  irebuilt the transfer rules and compared with others, and found nothing. still the same problem...
    cheers,
    stefan

Oh yeah, that error message i've been talking about was actually a note in the details of the monitor.
    you can see it here:
    http://www.fape.info/files/data_transfer_monitor_details.bmp
let me give you some translation.
    - status: some error occured.

    --- data packet 1:

    transfer rules: error

i hope this gives an idea.
i couldn't come up with any solution so far. don't know why this response is missing after the processing of the data started.

  • Error in loading data into PSA from source system.

    Hi Experts !!!
    Good morning .
I am trying to load data from SRM source system into BI system. When I execute infopackage, the data is not loaded into PSA and status of the process immediately becomes yellow. After sometime it gets timed out and converts to RED.When I checked the error documentation I found that the iDOCS response was not received from the source system.Detailed error is as below.
    System Response
There are idocs in the source system ALE outbox that did not arrive in the ALE inbox of BI.
    Further Analysis
    Check the TRFC log
you can access this log using the wizard OR menu path "Environment > Transact. RFC> In the source system
However,I was not able to navigate to this path.I think if I can navigate to this path,I can manually push IDOCS from source system to BI system.
    Regards,
    Mandar.

    Hi,
Check the DataSource in RSA3, if it is working fine and able to see the data in RSA3, there is no problem in DS level, then check the Mappings and any routines in BW for that DS, if this is also fine then check the below options.
See Dumps in ST22, SM21 also.
Check RFC Connection between ECC and BW systems, i.e. RSA1-->Source System->Right Click on Source system and Check.
You must have the following profiles to BWREMOTE or ALEREMOTE users. So add it. Bcoz either of these two users will use in background to get extract the data from ECC, so add these profiels in BW.
    S_BI-WHM_RFC, S_BI-WHM_SPC, S_BI-WX_RFC
And also check the following things.
1.Connections from BW to ECC and ECC to BW in SM59
    2.Check Port,Partner Profiles,and Message Types in WE20 in ECC & BW.
    3.Check Dumps in ST22, and SM21.
4.If Idocs are stuck i.e see the OLTP Idoc numbers in RSMO Screen in (BW) detials tab see in bottom, you can see OLTP Idoc number and take the Idoc numbers and then goto to ECC see the status in WE05 or WE02, if error then check the log else goto to BD87 in ECC and give the Idoc numbers and execute manually and see in RSMO and refresh.
5.Check the LUWs struck in SM58,User Name = * (star) and run it and see Strucked LUWs and select our LUW and execute manually and see in RSMO in BW.
    See in SDN
Re: Loading error in the production  system
IDOC getting struck at TRFC (SM58)
    1.Reorg of table (ARFCSSTATE )
2.Incraesing the resources in the system (no of processes and memory ) , as this issue happens owing to this.
Source system tries to send TRFC to target and if there are no WP's available it will come to Transaction Recorded state, and form here it will not try to send this TRFC.So you have to execute this manually.
Also we can increase the timeout parameter so that it can try few more times to send before actually it comes to recorded state.

    Suman

  • Error loading data into PSA (Exception in SM58)

    Hello,
I have a problem to load data from a SAP ERP 6.0 into a (new) SAP BI 7.3 System. I created a DataSource in the ERP system and try to load the data into a PSA. Now, when I start the data load of my InfoPackage, I get following result:
After that nothing further happens. Then I checked SM58:
Does this error look familiar to anybody? I'm wondering why the "Target System" column is empty. Maybe there are some basic settings missing?
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards
    Václav

    Hi Raman,
The requests are marked as successful in SM37.
    RequestId from InfoPackage Monitor:
And the corresponding job in SM37 (ECC system):
So this part seems to be fine. What else can I check?
    Thanks & regards

  • Error while loading data into PSA from data source

    Hi Experts ,
I am loading purchase order history data from standerd datasource 0SRM_TD_CF into PSA using infopackage. However, whenevr I run infopackage, the call monitor shows the status as yellow.I monitored the process for half an hour but it never ended.I have verified following things from my side.
1.Checked whether datasource is properly replicated into BI system.
2.Checked if source system contains data.
3.Since i am loading transaction data,I have kept update as "initialize delta process"
Please let me know whether I am missing anything.
    Regards,
    Mandar.

    Hi mandarha,
    Do the following steps
1)Check the job log in source systems.
2)Check the Data Source in RSA3(Extracter checker) on Source systems side.give DS name press enter then execute,If there is no issue with DS,it will give pop-up with records. If it has any errors first rectify it and then load it again.
3)In details tab of IP,check whether extraction completed or not.
4)Are you running the IP with option "Intialse with data trasfer" or "Without data transfer"
If you running with data transfer and without data selection, usually it will take time based on the volume of historical data.(to find how many records it picks do the 2 step)
    Hope this helps

    Venkatesh.

  • Short Dump while loading data into the GL ODS

    Hello Guyz
I am getting a database error while loading the GL ODS in BW. I am performing an INIT load, and the error occurs during the activation stage:
    Database Error

    Hello Atul,
PSAPTEMP has nothing to do with PSA. It is a temporary storage space and is present in all systems.
You can check this in transaction DB02 if you are using Bw 3.x and DB02OLD if you are using BI 7.0. Once in DB02/DB02OLD, you will see a block which says tablespaces. In this block, there is a push button for freespace statistics, click on it and it will take you to a screen which shows the free space for all tablespaces.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards.

  • Loading Data into an infobject in BW7.0

I have a master data IOBJ that I am loading data into directly from a datasource. Even though the data loads successfully, No rows are added....
    What gives? Thanks

    Hi, Irwin
i'm not sure if you got this previous question answered, but in order to tell if you are using a transformation vs. a old transfer rule, next to the "green bow tie" icon, you will see "RSDS" for transformation.  For update rules, you will also see the green bow tie but it will have a little square next to it then the name of the target.  A blue looking flag will represent the old transfer rules as in 3.x. if you provide your email address, i can send you a screen shot of what each of these look like.
I have had similar issues where I've seen the data loaded to the PSA, and then the DTP runs successfully (green) but no rows have been added - i feel your pain!  a couple things to troubleshoot are as follows:  1. make sure the datasource fields look correctly (with the correct template i/o) 2. make sure that the data is formatted correctly - pay special attention to ensure that the data coming in matches what is antipated by the datasource fields tab in regards to internal/external format and 3. try reactivating everything...
I know those are pretty basic steps, but i've encountered this issue a few times and it usually has soemthing to do with the data not being in the correct format.  unfortunatly, i have yet to see any helpful messages
from what source system does your datasource come?

    Hi,
    Hi,
I will suggest you to check a few places where you can see the status
    1) SM37 job log (In source system if load is from R/3 or in BW if its a datamart load) (give request name) and it should give you the details about the request. If its active make sure that the job log is getting updated at frequent intervals.
    2) SM66 get the job details (server name PID etc from SM37) and see in SM66 if the job is running or not. (In source system if load is from R/3 or in BW if its a datamart load). See if its accessing/updating some tables or is not doing anything at all.
    3) RSMO see what is available in details tab. It may be in update rules.
    4) ST22 check if any short dump has occured.(In source system if load is from R/3 or in BW if its a datamart load)
Once you identify you can rectify the error.
If all the records are in PSA you can pull it from the PSA to target. Else you may have to pull it again from source infoprovider.
If its running and if you are able to see it active in SM66 you can wait for some time to let it finish. You can also try SM50 / SM51 to see what is happening in the system level like reading/inserting tables etc.
If you feel its active and running you can verify by checking if the number of records has increased in the new data table.
    Thanks,
    JituK

  • How to load data into an ods from multiple info sources.

    hi all...
i am given a task to load data into an ods from 3 infosources ...
can someone plz give me the flow .
    thank u in advance..

    Hi Hara Pradhan,
You have to create 3 update rules by giving the 3 different infosources while creating each update rule. And u have to create the infopackages under each infosource. with this u can load the data to the same data target from multiple info sources.
    Hope it helps!
    Assign points if it helps!

Hi we have BI for NW04S and CRM4.0. While loading data for a CRM ODS , I have received a error message which I never seen before. Yesterdaya data load was smooth and I only see issue while loading data today
The error message in the monitor is as follows
"Port 'A000000003' does not exists in the table of Port Description' ( message ID E0, NO 31 ).
    have anybody encountered this.
    Thanks
    Arun

    Thanks Marc,
we found the table EDIPOA and found that the port that is missing. It seems that the enytry( row)  for our CRM system is missing which has this port as a field in this table.
Not sure whether to manually populate it or it's part of the source system repair etc.
      please let me know
      Thanks
