Error loading master data attr and text for 0material

Hi gurus,
I am new to BI, I am getting an error RSDMD- 194 when i am loading 0MATERIAL_ATTR and TEXT.
It is showing for nearly 100 records in the error stack.
Can anyone explain some basics,
1) why do we need to add 0MATERIAL to a particular Info area to start loading its ATTR and TEXT
2) Are the info objects that appear in the attributes tab of 0MATERIAL the same as the fields of 0MATERIAL_ATTR datasource, basically what i don't understand is are we mapping the 0MATERIAL_ATTR datsource fields to the info objects appearing in the attributes tab of 0MATERIAL info object.
3) Also when i added 0MATERIAL to my Info Area , there were some extra info objects that got in, are there any dependent objects that get added ?

Please check if there is any external characterstic in those 100 records, correct it and load again.

It does,t matter where the 0Material is. Info area in kind of Folder to easily locate and put the all the related objects at one place.
2) Are the info objects that appear in the attributes tab of 0MATERIAL the same as the fields of 0MATERIAL_ATTR datasource, basically what i don't understand is are we mapping the 0MATERIAL_ATTR datsource fields to the info objects appearing in the attributes tab of 0MATERIAL info object.
If it is a business content infosource, it will automatically map the attribute to data source field. If you are modifying or creating your own object, you should map it manually based on field name and description.
3) Also when i added 0MATERIAL to my Info Area , there were some extra info objects that got in, are there any dependent objects that get added ?
If you will move any objects all the compounded objects will also come to the info area.

According to best practice for Headcount and Personnel Actions( 0PA_C01), we have to do several process after infocube activation. e.g. active Query, query view, and loading transaction data.
The question is when should we load master data attr./text/hier. ? Why does SAP do not put it on the best practice document?

Hi,
You should always load Master data before transactional data. This helps in loading transactional data faster as the SID tables are already populated once you load the master data and helps master data load performance. Make sure that the loaded master data is followed by an attribute change run always as if this step is not executed, the loaded master data will not take effect.
Also in terms of reporting, if any users are accessing the queries and master data is missing at that point of time (might be loaded later), then the reports for those characteristics are going to show up as # (not assigned) and make no sense for reporting.
If the referential integrity box is checked during transactional data load, the loads will fail if relevant master data is not loaded first.
So, always load master data first, followed by attribute change run and then load the transactional data.

BPC75NW: Error Loading Master data for BPC Dimensions from BW InfoObject

Hello Gurus,
I'm trying to load master data for BPC Dimensions from BW Infoobjects.
The ID thats used in BW is 32 char long. When I run the load, the ID is truncated after 20 chars and the records are reported as duplicates.
Due to this the load is failing.
I cannot use any other ID as the texts will not be loaded in that case.
Is there any work around to handle this?
I cannot load the transaction data either.
I looked at some posts and blogs in sdn, but nothing really helped.

I tried using a additional Dimension property to hold the 32 char ID. But I cannot access this in the transformation.
Is there a way to refer the dimension property in the Transformation file or in the UJD_ROUTINE BADI implementation?

Hi Apparrao,
Add this attribute to your infoobject's attributes list.
Make sure it comes in the communication structure for the infoobject.
Then in the transfer rules write a routine. You will have to read the text table to get the medium text(field TXTMD) and pull the 4 characters from the beginning and populate your new attribute.
Do a full load and run the attrbute change run.

Error loading Master Data ARFCSTATE = SYSFAIL.

Hi All,
When I am trying to load master data 1 data package is not getting loaded, from R/3 the job is getting completed but in BW it is still in Yellow when I checked the job log in R/3 where in that it is showing ARFCSTATE = SYSFAIL.
It shows that from R/3 itself data package has problem.
Can anyone help me in solving this issue.

Hi,
I will suggest you to check a few places where you can see the status
1) sysfail in SM37 generally means that packet was not send to BW side. But this may not be true in all cases. Rarely We have come acroos situations where you can see sysfail for a particular package in R/3 but will find that packet updated into PSA. Chek this in RSMO > Details.
In case you dont find that packet in BW PSA. Try this.
Go to R/3 > SM37 > goto datacpacket with sysfail. Adjacent to that sysfail message you will a TID no.
Copy that and got to SM58 and search for that in the tRFC pending. There will be one with the same TID or Transact ID. Execute it. The Packet may get transfered to BW.
If it doesnt happen you may have to retrigger the load.
Else Once you identify you can rectify the error.
If all the records are in PSA you can pull it from the PSA to target. Else you may have to pull it again from source infoprovider.

Error loading master data RSDMD114

Attempting to load master data - several objects fail with message:
RSDMD114, "The Master Data is deleted in the background"
I went as far as to delete all of the old data and start again.
The object was reactivated.
No locks found on the lock tables.
Still getting the error.
Anyone seen this before ?

The data deletion job failed - so the control table was still set to show that the deletion run was in progress.
Table <b>RSDCHABASDEL, Status Logging for Master Data Deletion.</b>
Delete the entry from this table, look for the name of the object in question.
Everything ran OK with the entry cleared from the table.

Error loading master data text

Hi all,
When I does a data load from PSA for master data text,
error appears whcih shows "0OI_PBLTYP : Data record 3 ('INFO') : Language key is initial".
Please tell me why this error.
Hint:I have 17 records in PSA for 11 location types.
11 in English and 6 in German.

Hi Chintu,
Since you have made the info-object as "language-dependent" the system is looking for lang-key in the data. You can either enter the lang-key in the pSA directly. But if the source system is R/3 my suggestion would be that you pick up the lang-key for the datasource. This would ensure that you dont have to edit the PSA each time you load.

Error loading master data

One of the master data variable(0customer), is unable to load data.
rsmo has status red but data is loaded with errors is the message
The error message is as follows..
Error records written to application log
error 4 in the update.
i have planned to delete the request number, but i could not find
the same for the master data variable.

Error loading master data 0project_attr

Hi all,
I get an error when i load the master data 0project_attr. The overall status is red, but it shows all records are being transferred( 71 from 71 records). I'm using transfer rules. The error is shown is " Error 4 in the update "

if you are using ALPHA conversion for infoobject either remove ALPHA or remove the spaces.
Also check the settings at RSKC and check if RSKC_ALL_CAPITAL is maintained or not.
what was the detailed error ??

Hierarchy load -Master Data(No attributes,Text data loaded)

I have been trying to load hierarchy data in the datasource 0BBP_BIGURE_HIER from SRM to my BI system but the monitor shows the req remaining in yellow for hours together.The data comes fine till PSA but doesnt get loaded to the Infoobject 0BBP_BIGURE.The text data has been succesfully loaded for 0BBP_BIGURE.No attributes for the infoobejct to be loaded.
Can someone provide some information abt how to load 0BBP_BIGURE_HIER from SRM and what can be the possible errors.

I have tried what it says in SAP url(http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/85/14853df3e60968e10000000a114084/frameset.htm). I have reset the timestamp in the table BBP BWTIMESTAMP in Enterprise Buyer but, then, when i tried to upload the hierarchy again as it says, the problem persist. The monitor keeps the yellow status and the hierarchy doesn´t upload.
What have you done to solve it finally?

Master Data: Transformation and DTP for compounded characteristic

Good day
Please assist, I am not sure what is the correct way.
I extract master data from a db via DB connect.
There are three fields in the db view for extraction. (1) Code (2) Kind and (3) Code Text.
What I have done is the following. I created a datasource with transformation and DTP for master data text for (1) and (3), and then a datasource master data attribute transformation and DTP for (1) and (3).
Is this the correct way to handle extracts of compounded characteristics?

Hello,
if the char ' Code' is compounded with 'Kind'.
then for text datasource u shld have 1, 2 and 3. the table for this datasource should have 'code' and 'kind' as keys.
for the attribute datasource u shld have 1 ,2 followed by the reqd attributes of 'Code'.

Master data Key and text

hi all ,
we are facing the problem with the master data where if i execute the query and used the master data as characteristi, it dispay key and text but in the scenario where text is not updated but keys are there. in this case, query dispay key and key as text rather than space.
like
region master
001 - gujarat
002 - maharastra
003 -
it display like:
001 - gujarat
002 - maharastra
003 - 003
i want to avoid 003 as text.

Basically, master data text can not be displayed as blank. The reason behind this is,
Lets say tomorrow when user wants to see only text for the same characteristic you mentioned, BEx can not show the value against the blank description. That is the reason, if text is blank the key is copied and displayed in the report.
If you would like to avoid displaying key as text, then try putting a space or . (dot) manually in the text data and save. That would eleminate this text shown as 003.

Master data maintenance and attributes for GTIN/EAN

A review of the SAP documentation indicates that "You can use the consistency report to change the attributes (for example, quantity, length, height, and so on) of certain materials". The "and so on" seems to imply that the attributes can be user defined. If this correct, where is this data kept? Or do the attributes only include the fields from the Basic data 1 Dimensions/EAN data and Plant Data storage General data?
I would expect we can use LSWM to mass update the GTIN for our existing material numbers. However, for new material master creation is there a function module that would be able to pull the next available GTIN number from the internal number range? Please note that we use LSWM to create all our material numbers. We would like to have the LSWM insert the next available GTIN number.

Langauage issue -when loading master data text

I have a customer master data attribute and text .
This is master data is customized one. With in function module based on sy-langu it will extract the English,German,French.... customer data
R/3 side -Rsa3 transaction when i logon each logon language it is extracting the correct information with text values based on the logon language.
When I am loading the data for each language it is not loading.It is updating only the english.
I logged on as french ,German loaded data attribute and text also. Still it is not updating in the master data text values with french ,german.
Infopackage selection also I set DE and French.
Master data Infoobject - Text language dependent is marked also.

Almost at the bottom of the page there is the description about the language vector. The settings made in this vector control the extracted languages. As a standard all installed languages in the system are marked here.
