had this problem but now sorted.
Go to settings for google shortcuts, follow link to homepage and upload latest version, it has not yet been approved by Firefox, but works and solves the bug.

I about to give up on using Firefox since I've tried everything I know: cleared cache & reinstalled Firefox
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

The problem does not happen in Safari or Chrome.
I've restarted Firefox but it does not help.

show config is effectively an alias for the command more nvram:startup-config
As a result, the issue is the permission on the file, not the command itself.
Unfortunately, the file systems do not explicitly support permissions. This used to be implicitly supported through permissions on show config.
Perhaps this is a bug. I'd open a case on this if you need really need this feature. -
Receiving a [JavaScript Application] Error upon opening firefox (every time)
Hi, I just updated to the newest version of firefox (5.0.1) and every time I open a new firefox window (or right click a link and open in a new WINDOW) I get an error that pops up and prevents firefox from opening until I click "ok".

Type Error: comenents.classes['@simile.mit.edu/java-firefox-extention;1'] is undefined
Now, I have looked for that "extension in firefox but I can't find it to disable it.

I get this error when starting Firefox, or when opening a new window. When I close Firefox, or close the new window, I get a different error message: [JavaScript Application] ReferenceError: m_caFxTBobj is not defined

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

What does it mean when I log into Facebook and a pop-up comes out saying "[JavaScript Application] Error: jQuery("#fb_menu_account a", document).attr("href") is undefined"? When I open Firefox I get the following error: firefox.exe application error - The instruction at 0x02c38690 referenced memory at 0x02c38690 - The memory could not be written - Click on OK to terminate the program.
If you click on OK it closes Firefox - You can not reopen Firefox until you reboot the computer. Then it starts all over again.

i am trying to run the FDM Import but it gives an error with the error number 70 'Permission denied'.

Make sure that the applicaiton path is specified in UNC format and that the FDM Service account has full read\write to the application share. So the app path should be something like \\servername\fdmdata\<appname> and the FDM service account shoudl have full control to the FDMDATA folder.
