some folks with vista have found a work around by right clicking on 'redeem' and selecting 'copy'. Then go to internet explorer and paste and hit enter. You may now be able to redeem your cards this way.
This issue appears to be a certificate issue with the system. Unfortunately windows does not have a link to install these root certificates from the website for vista like you can XP, so you cannot reinstall them if something gets corrupted.
You may have to redeem on another computer or email itunes through expresslane.apple.com with the codes from the gift cards and explain the situation. they may be able to redeem them to your account for you.
The last alternative would be to get a Mac.

I have tried a number of the fixes on here for the loading issues but they don't solve my particular problem.
iTunes loads perfectly and i have access to buy stuff from my iPhone 4.  However, when I want to wish list stuff from my phone or the computer i get an error message (-1202).  This will not let me buy or list.
This seems to have happened since the most recent software update.
It is also happening on my husband's account (which is separate from mine) and we use the same computer.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • An error message appears when i open itunes  and itunes closes. wat to do??

when i try to open itunes, the error message "Itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close" pops up and it doesn't show up on the screen. what sould i do to get itunes to work?

Okay ... that rules out a bunch of possibilities.
We could be looking at a damaged CoreFP.dll here. In that case, we might be able to get things working again by swapping out the dll. We'll take a few additional explicit precautions, just in case. probably best to print out a copy of these instructions, because at one point in proceedings you won't be able to use a web browser.
Download and save a fresh copy of the iTunes installer to your hard drive. (Don't run the install on line, and don't start the installation just yet.)
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Now head into your Add or Remove programs control panel. Uninstall iTunes.
Next, we'll remove leftover program files and folders.
In "My Computer", open Local Disk C: or whichever drive your program files are installed on.
    Open the "Program files" folder.
Right-click on the "iTunes" folder (if it still existts) and select "Delete".
    Open the "Common Files" folder.
    Open the "Apple" folder.
Right-click on the "CoreFP" folder (if it still exists) and select "Delete".
Empty your Recycle Bin and restart the PC.
After the PC restarts, do not open any applications. Disconnect from your network and/or the internet. Now switch off all your security software (firewall, antivirus, antispyware).
Now start an iTunes install by doubleclicking on the iTunesSetup.exe file you downloaded earlier.
Reenable all security software prior to reconnecting to the internet and/or your network.
Does the iTunes reinstall go through okay? If so, does your iTunes start launching properly again?

  • Why am I getting error message R6034 when I update iTunes on my PC?

When trying to load iTunes update 11.1.4 on my Windows XP workstation, the installer generated an error message:
    Runtime Error
    Program:C:\Program Files\Common Fil....
    R6034
An application mad an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.
Please contact the application support team for more information
ITunes is now disabled on the workstation. I have tried downloading the update frorm the website with the same resulting error message
ITunes is disabled and will not function on my workstation...this is frustrating as a long time iTunes client.

    goddesslileth,
Could you provide the specific model you are referring to with this question?
Typically, a low memory message is given when applications running have used up all the available memory that is installed in the system. There are a couple ways around this:
Add additional memory to your system to the maximum amount it will support (if possible).
Ensure that all other applications or installed programs you are not using are not running in the background. Background applications or installed programs tend to continue to use memory to keep themselves up to date, for example, a web browser constantly updating it's page(s) for the most up to date information.

  • I get an error message -1202 when trying to connect

    Need help

    FredVid
Do not "Sign In" to Premiere Elements 10 and earlier. "Sign In" is gone along with the photoshop.com and photoshop.com plus feature.
Also, be aware that you probably still see content associated with photoshop.com plus members only. Even though you see that content as
thumbnails, the content is no longer available to you. It went with photoshop.com and photoshop.com plus.
    Bottom Line:
    Don't
Please try again later or check your network connections. Error 400."
Just do not go through the "Sign In" ritual and instead (after any indicated Cancel) proceed to import, editing, and export.
Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
    Thanks.

  • HT1491 Why do i keep getting the message 'Cannot connect to iTunes Store' when I have done every connection I can find? What does the error message (-1202) mean when I am on the iTunes site on my computer?

    Hi Velvalee,
While there may not be specific information about that error, here is an article of steps for troubleshooting connectivity issues with the iTunes store:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store

If that article does not help, there is a link near the bottom for an additional article of advanced troubleshooting.

  • When I attempt to purchase a song from itunes, I keep getting the following error message: Could not purchase "song name". An unknown error occurred (-42408). There was an error in the itunes store. Please try again later

When I attempt to purchase a song from itunes, I keep getting the following error message: Could not purchase "song name". An unknown error occurred (-42408). There was an error in the itunes store. Please try again later
Can anyone help solve this problem?

I've done a search on here and haven't found any solutions posted for it for windows computers. You could try posting in the iTunes For Windows forum and see if you get any suggestions in there (are you able to download other items from the store e.g. a free app ?) - I use a Mac, the only things that I could think of to suggest trying is see if you get the same error on a different iTunes library :
    creating and/or opening a different iTunes library : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1589
or using a different user account on your computer in case it's a problem with that user account.
But you may want to try the iTunes For Windows forum first, apart from anything else you are likely to get better help for the above

  • When trying to udate iTunes on my PC, I recieve the error message "The older version of iTunes cannot be removed"  How do I correct this error and not lose all the music I have in iTunes?

When trying to update my version of iTunes on my PC with Windows 7,  I receive the error message "The older version of iTunes cannot be romoved".  How do I correct this problem without losing all the music that I have in iTunes on my PC?

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • TS3258 I get error message -42408 when trying to download itunes update 11.0.2 and thus can not upgrade to latest version.  What should I do?

I get error message -42408 when trying to download itunes update 11.0.2 and I therefore can not update to that latest version.  What can I do?

    Hey there davidgor2!
I have found an article that should help you resolve this issue with updating your iTunes. The article can be found here:
    iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3297
and the specific part of the article you will want to look at first is right here:
    "Error 42023" through "Error 42408"
These alerts might occur when trying to authorize iTunes or during launch when iTunes checks for authorization information.
Install the latest iTunes from apple.com/itunes/download/
    Remove the SC Info folder.
If that does not resolve the issue, see iTunes: "Error 42408" or "Error 42404" after upgrading to iTunes 9.0.3.
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!
    Regards,
    Braden

  • I get error message 42032 when trying to connect an iPhone to iTunes. Any ideas how to fix it?

I get error message 42032 when trying to connect an iPhone to iTunes. Any ideas how to fix it?

Did you already try these suggestions?
    Check USB connections
    Related errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response,” and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
    Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you checked your connections and are still seeing the error message, check for hardware issues.
