Error message 127 says to uninstall and re-install nothing works.

I can't get itunes uninstalled and re-installed on my Dell conputer. I have windows 7.  The error message 127 and everything else keeps comming up. I did the complete uninstall and re-install as they said. It doesn't work. What else is there to do. I have followed all the directions, that are on the website. this happened when itunes asked for an update and it has has this problem ever since.  this is unacceptable!!!

Have you tried a full tear down and reinstall as shown in the second box of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates?

    Note that, as it says in those articles:
    iTunes Store purchases or songs imported from CDs are saved in your My Music folder by default and are not deleted by removing iTunes. While it is highly unlikely that you will lose any contents of your iTunes Library when following these steps, it is always a good idea to ensure that your iTunes library is backed up. If you're unsure how to backup, see iTunes: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive.

    what version of iPhoto? Is OS X 10.8 as you state correct for the OS? Has it ever worked? What has changed since it worked? Will Image Capture  ( in your applications folder) import the photos? How are you importing - USB to the camera? USB card reader? built in card reader?
    Any other clues that would help a total stranger who can not see you or your computer assist you?

    When you say you have tried everything, it would help if you told us what you have tried to avoid duplication.
    When you installed iTunes did you get any error messages?
    Anyway, on the face of it it may be worth trying a separate install of Apple application support.
    Uninstall iTunes again. Now open Apple Software update, assuming it is working.
    It should offer to download iTunes. Don't do it yet, go to the Tools menu and select Download only.
    Then download iTunes. Then go to the tools menu again and select Open download folder and you should see a collection of six files.
    Before going on, can you get to this stage OK?
    One further thing I would like you to check, are you ahving any problems with Windows updates? Could you check in Windows Update to see if there are any failures.

    I've resolved the issue with iTunes constantly not responding. It's a bit embarrassing. I had a DVD in the drive that was corrupt, and once I was able to remove it - BAM - iTunes ran perfectly.
    I'm still getting the Sync Services message, and my backups are still not showing in iTunes.

Then after I reinstalled the itunes 10, it doesnt launch the itunes and gives me a message that "The itunes application could not be opened. An unknown error occured (-50)". I'm having exactly the same problem.  I am running Windows XP version 2002 and cannot uninstall Itunes or update.  This problem is affecting my ability to sync music and also with playback.  The support for PC users is severely lacking.  I'm also getting error messages that says an older version of Bonjour cannot be uninstalled.  Help!

    Do a clean (re)install:
    * Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    * Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
