Error message 4960- problem is not resolved, what next?
Download Assistant keeps saying it is extracting files. it doesn't matter how many times I unistall and reinstall the Download Assistant I can't get it to download the free trial.
The only reason why I want the free trial is because i bought PS Elements 11 on disc, without realising my Mac doesn't have a DVD drive. So i want to use my serial number to purchase it online.
Help! Or I will have to return the disc, get my money back, Adobe loses a customer (forever, it this is not resolved) and I have no way of getting of Photoshop. I also don't want to give Apple extra money to buy a superdrive to read the DVD, I'm quite disgusted they don't put DVD drives in their new iMacs, what a con.
Islandnews first if you have another Mac with an optical drive you can either mount the disc over the network or copy the install files to a USB drive.
Second if the download is continuing to fail please first try implementing solution 1 in Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-download-assistant.html#main_Solutio n_1 to reset ADA. You can then try downloading again.
Finally if you continue to face difficulties please try initiating a direct download by following the steps listed at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369.

A "quick" fix that worked for me was to uninstall Adobe... then download the base install for Adobe Reader 11.0.
Then download each of the individual updates and run them sequentially.
I've installed back up to the last security update which is version 08 and have been able to do normal Save As operations.
You will have to disable automatic updates in order to stay at version 08 until Adobe resolves this issue in a later release.

Trying to update my iTunes but keep getting the error message "the URL could not be opened" what does this mean and how do I resolve this? It's always worked fine in the past!
Select a broken track and press ctrl-i to Get Info. Look on the summary tab for the location where iTunes "thinks" the file should be. Where is it really? Post back the two locations and I can suggest the best approach.

I purchased Elements 13. When I tried to install it I get the error message that it is not supported by Vista. What do I do now?
If you can't install Windows 7 or higher or get a new computer with Windows 7 or higher, you won't be able to run Photoshop Elements 13.

I am installing Windows 7 and I get an error message: "Your disk could not be partitioned. An error ocurred while partitioning the disk". I was using a Windows & Home Premium OEM Software that I purchased from Microsoft. I was given to Windows 100GB to use for Quickbooks pro, Payroll and Publisher. I have the Macbook Pro model No: MD102LL/A. Does anyone knows what happenned or can advice me in what to do? Please help!!!

If you were using Apple's BootCamp and received this message, quit it and open Disk Uility in your Applicaitons/Utilities folder.
Select the Macintosh HD partition on the left and select Erase and Erase Free Space > Zero option and let it complete (important) this will check the spare space for bad sectors that can cause issues formatting partitions.
Once it's completed, try creating a partiton again in BootCamp.
If that doesn't work, then hold command option r keys down while connected to a fast internet connection, Internet Recovery should load (spinning globe) and then in that Disk Utility, select your entire internal drive and click > First Aid > Repair Disk and Permissions.
reboot and attempt Bootcamp again.
If you still get a error, it might be that you have OS X data on the bottom area where BootCamp partition needs to go. This would occur if you had the drive or computer for a long time or wrote a large amount of files to the drive and nearly filling it up and then reduced some, but it left traces in the area BootCamp needs to go.
To fix this
BootCamp: "This disc can not be partitioned/impossible to move files."

When the message arrives, the message tone sound that many times. How this problem can be solved? I installed the new version, but the problem is not resolved, the future is to be taken into account in the new version of this?
I'm not sure I understand the question, is the message tone going more then once?
Turn off repeat message alert here:
settings > notifications > messages > repeat alert > never
Some people have found this does not stop the repeat miessage tone,

I am trying to import cr2files from the camera into lightroom 5 and keep getting an error message saying Lightroom can not read the files and therefore will not import them. Has anyone had a similar problem….thanks
If you are having the same problem, i.e. a disk permission problem, open your favorite search engine and search on, "change disk permissions", and I think you'll find plenty of information on how to fix the problem. This is a Lightroom forum. Your problem is with your operating system. There is no sense in rewriting instructions that are already available if you do a simple search.

App Store won't open, error message "App Store can not be opened because of a problem". I haven't been able to update anything for a week or so. I have used Disk Utility, Drive Genius, deleting the .plist, all to no avail. My Mac Mail hasn't worked since the upgrade to Mavericks. Mavericks can't see my LaCie Cloudbox. Can any of these be solved by me?
I have the same error "XXXX App cannot be opened because of a problem". And I also cannot open iTunes and get the error "This copy of iTunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes."
Only Apple apps seem to be at issue here...
Repairing Permissions did not fix this.
I noticed this after the last Software update. Is there no fix other than re-installing?

Try downloading the trial. It ought to detect that you have a 64-bit system.
You aren't using Vista, are you? PSE 13 requires at least win 7 and I think a few folks with vista have gotten a similar error message on trying to install it. -
I am having problem with my Itunes 64-bit. The help button is not working. I also have an error message, that I am not connected to the website. I have good connection. My Home sharing error (-2146893032) and my network connection error (0X80090318). I have Windows 7 OS Home Premium. Model Dell Inspiron560S. Pentium(R) Dual Core CPU E5400 @2.70GHz. (Ram) 4.00GB. I removed the Itunes 32-bit and replaced 64-bit according to apple support page.
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I have a new Ipad air. I have synced it to my PC before. This time I get an error message saying iTunes could not connect to the iPad because the device time out - what do I do?
Quit iTunes, restart your computer, reset the iPad and try again.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
