Error message acrodist.exe - No Disk

I keep getting this message at various times and programs.  Repeatedly when I print to Adobe pdf in Illustrator.  I just have to cancel repeatedly to close the message.  I am still able to print to pdf.  Does any one have a suggestion?  The only changes in drives is for thumb drives for regular document files.

Hello!!
I  had this issue since the moment I purchased my Pavilion g6 1281sl one and half year ago. I thought it was a broken sector on the hard thisk, corrupting a section of the Windows 7 Os. I passed the whole period testing the disk, reinstalling the Os, etc. finally, I think that the message has its origin because of my Usb Onda MC833UP internet Key! I'm sure at least 99,99%, since I now remember that I never managed to have a succesful full install of all the drivers for this Usb peripheral. One of them was unsuccesful. And only now I notice that this boring and worryng message appears to me only if I turn on and off my notebook with the Onda Usb key inserted!!! Never, never had issues if it is not inserted when turning the notebook on or off! Maybe the Onda software doesn't ( well, on their web page they say the key supports 32\64 bits Windows 7 machines...) support the 64 bits Os or machines... Or it's Windows 7 that doesn't supports the drivers. I am not a technician, so just you choose the option. But I bet it's nothing serious. Only, maybe a drive among the several installed can't be recognized and accessed because the uncorrect drivers installation and doesn't appear when you open the resources' window.
Hope this could be useful for all the users, hoping that someone ( Microsoft? HP? Onda Communications?) would fix this problem soon...
All the best and a Happy New Year from Italy!
Francesco.

  • I have an iMac 5.1 with Mac OSX 10.6.8 and 2 GB memory and an L2 cache of 4 GB.   lately I have been receiving error messages of " start up disk almost full; please delete files." is the start up disk the same thing as the hard drive?

I have an iMac 5.1 with Mac OSX 10.6.8 and 2 GB memory and an L2 cache of 4 GB.   lately I have been receiving error messages of " start up disk almost full; please delete files." is the start up disk the same thing as the hard drive?  I opened the hard drive and from the column on the left of the menu I've selected "search for" and under that " all images" then "all documents"  I've deleted a few files from each. Are documents and images that I have deleted from here also deleted from the folders on my desktop?

You should never, EVER let a conputer hard drive get completely full, EVER!
With Macs and OS X, you shouldn't let the hard drive get below 15 GBs or less of free data space.
If it does, it's time for some hard drive housecleaning.
Follow some of my tips for cleaning out, deleting and archiving data from your Mac's internal hard drive.
Have you emptied your iMac's Trash icon in the Dock?
If you use iPhoto, iPhoto has its own trash that needs to be emptied, also.
If you store images in other locations other than iPhoto, then you will have to weed through these to determine what to archive and what to delete.
If you use Apple Mail app, Apple Mail also has its own trash area that needs to be emptied, too!
Delete any old or no longer needed emails and/or archive to disc, flash drives or external hard drive, older emails you want to save.
Delete any other mail in your Junk folders. Also, look through your Sent Mail to see if there is anything that can be deleted.
Other things you can do to gain space.
Once you have around 15 GBs regained, do a search, download and install OmniDisk Sweeper.
This app will help you locate files that you can move/archive and/or delete from your system.
STAY AWAY FROM DELETING ANY FILES FROM OS X SYSTEM FOLDER!
Look through your Documents folder and delete any type of old useless type files like "Read Me" type files.
Again, archive to disc, flash drives, ext. hard drives or delete any old documents you no longer use or immediately need.
Look in your Applications folder, if you have applications you haven't used in a long time, if the app doesn't have a dedicated uninstaller, then you can simply drag it into the OS X Trash icon. IF the application has an uninstaller app, then use it to completely delete the app from your Mac.
Download an app called OnyX for your version of OS X.
When you install and launch it, let it do its initial automatic tests, then go to the cleaning and maintenance tabs and run the maintenance tabs that let OnyX clean out all web browser cache files, web browser histories, system cache files, delete old error log files.
Typically, iTunes and iPhoto libraries are the biggest users of HD space.
move these files/data off of your internal drive to the external hard drive and deleted off of the internal hard drive.
If you have any other large folders of personal data or projects, these should be archived or moved, also, to the optical discs, flash drives or external hard drive and then either archived to disc and/or deleted off your internal hard drive.
    Good Luck!

My iTunes will not start.  The box on the error message APSDaemon.exe,  And message says "This application failed to start because MSVC80.dll was not found.  Reinstalling may fix."  I did the reinstall and I get the same error.  The error first happened after I approved the an iTurns update.

Same problem today. Took five times to reinstall without any error messages. Apple has posted a way to fix and you should follow their's first. I finally got to upldate correctly by doing their fix but with one difference. I did the following:
    1) Went to the C:\program files (x86)\iTunes and C:\program files\iTunes folders and moved every file ending in .dll to the desktop (even if two files in same location had the same name, just replace)
    2) Restarted computer and still got error message
    3) Uninstalled all apple programs possible in the following order......itunes, apples software update, apple mobile device support, bonjour, and apple application support.....all performed using the microsoft control panel
    4) put all the .dll files on the desktop in the trash and emptied (this is a step apple support did not specifically put in their fix but for a final try I wanted to delete everything apple).
    5) Restarted computer.
    6) Re-installed itunes from apple website
No error messages during re-install and was able to open shortcut in one try. Even updated my ipad to make sure everything was working.

  • When starting my computer I get the error message "AppleSyncNotifier.exe Entry point not found. this has only appeared since my last upgrade.

Since recently upgrading to the latest ITunes,on start up I get an error message:
"AppleSyncNotifier.exe Entry point not found .
Procedure entry point xml TextReader Constname could not be located in
    the dynamic link library libxml2.dll"
Any body come across this? Any solutions?

    Doublechecking, Dad:
I have also reloaded all other iTunes software.
Did you use the following document as a guide?
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
(If we're looking at program file damage down in Apple Application Support or Apple Mobile Device Support, the 2. Verify iTunes and related components are completely uninstalled section is very important.)

At my PC startup, I get an error message "AppleSyncNotifier.exe--Entry Point Not Found"  My iPhone now doesn't show up as a Device in either iTunes or My Computer on my PC. I've uninstalled/ reinstalled iTunes & run diagnostics-no luck. Ideas?

I think my problem is fixed now.
For the fun of it, I reinstalled iTunes 9.2.1 today (using the exact same installer as I did yesterday), but this time I didn't uninstall iTunes first. As expected, iTunes recognized my iPhone (as I expected it to, until my next reboot).
A few minutes later, Software Update showed up and among the updates is "iPhone SDK Compatibility Update". The description indicates that installing this should fix an issue where iPhones and iPod touches aren't recognized by iTunes. Isn't that interesting?
I installed that update and most of the others waiting for me (including Java, Safari 5.0.1, and a few others - not 10.6.4 though, due to the issues with nVidia graphics cards). After the reboot, I started iTunes, and it saw my iPhone!
So, if you're having this same problem, I'd recommend tracking down this update and see if that does the trick for you. Hopefully it will.

How do I resolve this issue when I try to download iTunes on my laptop?  It fails because of this error message " iTunes64Setup.exe is corrupt or invalid"

That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

try installing de software of that ipod, reinstall de ipod sofware and the itunes, after that go 2 apple.com and download the new updator. then install that too, and if possible redownload the new version of itunes. b4 u do all this , delete the software (old one ) of that ipod and itunes.. only the one that is giving u the problem, meaning b4 u reinstall the software that came with ur ipod, go 2 control panel.2.find add /remove programs.3then delete the old ipod and itunes software. then retstart ur computer. 4 then now go and reinstall the ipod software and itunes that came with ur ipod then after that redownload de ipod updator(new version is march 2006. get this and after that download the new version of itunes. then install all these, then u can also restore ur ipod by clicking on de updator when it opens press restore u will be commanded 2 plug in ur ipod. then follow de instructions. after all these ur itunes should be fine, and ur ipod software should be fine. ur itunes is corrupt , that might be causing the problem.

    reboot ur window after uninstalling

This means that your NAS does not support the required encryption. Update your NAS to the latest firmware or ditch it and buy a Time Capsule (they are the most reliable when using TM).

That DLL is part of your printer driver; reinstall or update the device driver for your printer, and the message should go away.

  • I unplugged a USB data device without ejecting it properly via 'Finder'.  Now whenever I plug in the device I received an error message stating that the 'disk was not ejected properly

Now when I plug in the device I receive an error message stating that the disk was not ejected properly & that next time I connect the 'disk', MAC OS X will attempt to repair any damage to the information on the disk.
    It has not repaired.
The data I am trying to import is photos & even when I change to a different SD card I receive the same message.
I am a recent convert from Windows and am new to the MAC way of things.

You can repair the SD card using Disk Utility.
I suggest you copy the photos from your SD card, if you haven't done so already, before using Disk Utility to repair your SD card.
