Error message after update Apple what have you done?

Apple can you fix this mess.
I get this error message now without even trying to log on to itunes "The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer"
Please do a fix to fix this I unstaled and istalled again itunes but still same error message.
All I did update my iphone via the pc as it asked me to do so.

Hi The best option is to do a factory Reset this will get rid of any bugs And set up iPad as new. Just use same Apple ID you will get all your Apps & Data back. Do this over Wifi Cheers Brian

Also iMessage is not the app name so searching for that will not find it.
The app is called Messages. This does what iChat did and has the iOS iMessages function and Account set up added in.

I was ready to see what new features you had added to your popular iTunes software, but I must say that your Microsoft Windows version leaves much to be desired.
While using another processor-intensive application, especially one that uses audio and video resources, causes iTunes to play media in a fast, skipping way. If those applications are closed, then iTunes may resume normal play of those media files. It appears iTunes wants to be the ONLY resource hog running at one time.
The interface is pretty, but I'd like my old one back, please. I grew to like the simplicity of the left and right panes, but this new organization of things into the sections (Library, Store, Playlists) isn't needed. It was clear before.
The upgrade hosed my previous installation's settings. I have my music (purchased and imported) on a separate physical drive along with my Podcasts, but when I started the new iTunes after installation, it changed to a default of %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music. Further, these Preferences tabs had their options changed to the defaults of a new iTunes installation: Podcasts, Store, and Sharing.
"Gapless Playback" needs to be an option, not an automatic function.
Finally, where are the options your users have been asking for? Folder watching, force-refresh the database (refreshing the database from the source files), etc.
Don't get me wrong. I love the software, but this recent version left a bad taste.

IOS 5.0.1: apple what have you done!!!????

After switching from iP3GS to the iP4S I was the happiest costumer ever, it truly was the best phone. I actually started texting and calling more before I no longer had those horrible AT&T network issues.
My battery life was unreal, I used it for hours daily and it still had power.
NOT ANYMORE, after the update, I can see the battery dropping. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
I am taking the phone back tomorrow, I cannot "hope" Apple releases a fix that "might" fix it. I spent $430 on this phone and I expect it to work.

IPad 3 light leak under the bezel? What have you done about it?

If you have an iPad 3. Tilt towards you, looking underneath the bezel (under the camera) has your iPad got any lights showing? It's not bleeding onto the screen, in fact it doesn't interfere at all under normal use of the iPad. I have read many forums and it does seem to be quite common,but i would like to know what have you done about it? Have you replaced within 14 days and got a brand new iPad and been satisfied ? Or have you had another with worse or different issues? Or have you ignored the issue and kept the iPad?
I walked into comet and the first iPad 3 I picked up had exactly the same issue. I asked the bloke, he said yes? It's no problem, it's common in led screens and with the iPads new retina screen your bound to get this problem on some but it's no problem as doesn't effect your everyday use. Not the point though is it, we pay 400-579 for this thing!
I also rang apple and they spoke with their technical team and they came back and said the lights under the bezel seems unusual. To try and restore the iPad and see if that solves it. Solves a hardware problem?? How did they get their jobs? Crazy. So now I am in the middle of returning the iPad for a replacement but I am debating whether to even bother as I have read a lot of replacements people have received have numerous other problems, like dead pixels, light leakage, scratches.
I would appreciate any feedback from those who have had this same issue and what did you do about it ?

Mine has some along the right side. It is very slight, and does not affect the screen,even with a black image displayed in a dark room. So I chose to ignore it. This iPad will be going back though, as the bottom half of the screen has a pink tint on it. My advice is to see if it affects a dark picture in a dark room. If it doesn't, I would keep it. But in the end, you have to make your own decision and be comfortable with it. :)

Where are all my bookmarks - what have you done with Mozilla? you have screwed up my computer!

Everything I had on my tool bar, and all the sites listed in my Bookmarks are GONE!!!
What have you done with those sites? They were very important to me - I can not handle all these changes by Mozilla - None of these changes are of any use to me. I want to go back to my original screen and when I logged on today you would not let me access my internet and original screen without entering info that changed everything on my computer window!!! Help me find those BOOKMARKS
Mozilla Firefox is not user friendly - I don't want all these apps - EBay, Weather or YouTube! I had the necessary sites listed that are important and used everyday - not those listed. Who are you to determine what "apps" I should be using???

I'm desperate to get back my Bookmarks in the same unsorted way and easily accessible as I had previously - at the moment they are hidden away in some sort of zipped form I am unable to access: they were previously listed in the ideal way for me to access - as chronologically bookmarked and disparate. It really is infuriating to have this level of interference with my personal affairs on my computer without even seeking my consent. Ideally I want a return to the earlier version of Firefox which worked perfectly well for me - I'm plagued with excessive slowness and freezing since the latest -Firefox 5.0- update was installed. Is there any simple way to revert back to the earlier version of Firefox?

i was using webdb since rel 2.0.* and i think, it was a great idea! we could visualize data
and give the users the chance to access the data in a very simple way - without programming
in java, c++ or anything else ( ok, pl/sql is needed sometimes. but as long as we are using
oracle databases, we will find someone with pl/sql-knowledge :-), so this is not an
additional requirement).
but what have you done with this wonderful idea?
you have moved webdb to an enterprise-portal, with great functionality and a huge requirement
of resources. no doubt, it is a powerful product, where you can build wonderfull sites
full of surprising elements, every second character bold and blinking . . .
but you forgot the customers, who only need a simple way, to create forms and reports.
by moving portal to such a level, as you have done, you left a gap below this.
please tell me, why should i install and use such a 'mighty' product as 9iAS, when i only
need the functionality, that came with webdb??
some impressions:
- starting with the installation ( download 2 GB! a just released product and i have to download
additional 274 MB of patches, wasting more time with the patch-installation than the rest).
- space-requirements of nearly 5 GB (approx. 12 times as much as webdb 2.2)
- i have to use internet directory, management server, enterprise manager - all products,
that i don't need for the rest of my daily business and that i'm not familiar with
(until now) -> requiring additional time to become familiar with. do you realy think, that the use of all
products in your portfolio makes it easier to handle (as stated in one of the white papers?)?
It seems, that you have lost the ground!
- saving my investments by a migration path? i can forget this - oracle support surrendered and tells
me, that there is something in the installation that prevents me from upgrading.
- the product portal seems to be very 'dynamic': if i don't want to lose support, i have to upgrade
to the next release nearly every three months (one of the most important phrases, heard by support-stuff:
"you have any problem? you should upgrade to the latest release first!")

I have tried to open several large PDF docs with Reader DC (although on Windows 7), and they all open instantly.
Two possibilities I can think of:
Are you inside a corporate firewall? If so, make sure that you have access to cloud.acrobat.com
If the above is not the problem, can you try to disable Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

Restricting the Lumia 920 to a single network in the UK is a MAJOR mistake!
Ok, logic states you want to push the 920 via a 4G network, of which there is only one currently but that doesn't mean people will switch to that network.
We all know 4G will come to the other networks and people will buy a phone based on that and a myriad of other factors such as network coverage, customer service, Operating System etc.
So restricting availability to a single network which, to be frank, is not regarded as having the best service or coverage is simply ludicrous.
Yesterday I saw a retailer in the UK offering the 920 SIM Free. Yahoo! I can jump in with an off-contract purchase to supplement my two other Windows Phone 7.5 devices - one of which is also a Lumia (800 in this case, bought on the day of release!).
'Are you sure this is SIM Free and therefore Carrier unlocked?' I ask. 'Yes, all our SIM Free phones are unlocked.' came back the response.
OK, here is my £459 to buy the device....
Imagine my surprise when neither of my O2 SIMs were able to be used but my T-Mobile SIM was!
Call the retailer to be told by the Manager that it was SIM Free and unlocked. Back to shop I go - much testing with many SIMs ensued and a call to Tech Support confirms my suspicions that it was indeed locked to the EE family (EE/T-Mobile/Orange).
'Can I have an unlock code please?' I ask to have the response there are none available. Only option is to refund!
So Nokia, you have lost a sale of your flagship device (and being part of a UK Smartphone community that reviews, tests and supports such devices and users) and I know there is latent demand for it out there but no-one I know wants it on that network and certainly not on the commercial terms on offer where the 4G element is restricted...
The HTC 8X although specification wise maybe not quite close enough to the 920 to be called equivalent is close enough and has such a commercial advantage (read minimum £60 cheaper) and is available SIM Free to be the one to buy if you want a Windows Phone 8 device now.
So much for your loyal customer base who jumped in with Nokia on the release of the Lumia 800, they cannot now go to the 920. The 820 is not flagship and in comparison to the HTC 8x is somewhat lacking ( I had them both in my hands yesterday).
Oh, dear, Nokia, this is hardly likely to help your financial woes when you restrict sales of your flagship device in the UK.
I am happy to engage on this with Nokia UK and even review said device but in reality all I want is to be able to buy the device for personal use.
The Nokia Value Proposition is a strong one compared to the other Windows Phone 8 manufacturers (HTC 8S/X and Samsung Ativ) with the exclusive and attractive software elements but that's only a real value if the device can be obtained otherwise it is irrelevant.
I look forward to Nokia's response.....

Today I phoned t-mobile UK (South African call center???) to order an 920 as an upgrade, I made it quite clear that I wanted the 920, but the customer services advisor was absolutely determined to sell me an iPhone 5, stating the IP5 was a 'much better phone' etc. I was pretty annoyed at this behaviour as he was doing absolutely everything he could to persuade me to buy the IP5. I ended the call without ordering anything.
I eventually managed to order a 920, this time through a UK call centre, it would seem t-mobile UK and orange UK are doing everything in their power NOT to sell the phone, it's not listed on either of their online shops, even though you CAN buy it from them. Initially I was told the 920 wasn't available on t-mobile, even though my friend had got on on t-mobile a few hours earlier, once informed of this, they remembered it was available and allowed me to order.
To me it seems the TMUK and Orange are pushing the EE network at the expense of Nokia. Why, because people are put off by EEs ridiculously high monthly price plans, and TMUK & Orange aren't making it known that you can get it on their network at a much cheaper monthly rate.

Window - No Disk error message after update to iTunes 7.1

I updated to iTunes 7.1. After turning on iTunes for the first time after the download, I get a box that says "Updating iTunes Library". During this process, I get the dreaded error message: "Windows - No Disk" I clicked on it a few times and it went away. Then it came back and no amount of clicking would make it go away. At this point, iTunes no longer responds. I have gone thru this process now about 5 times.
What is the fix?
Does Apple answer this issue anywhere or is it left to its customers to speculate about this stuff?

Just a few pieces of clarifying information... This is Safari on OS X you're talking about, right? Also, what update did your daughter install? Have you tried reinstalling Safari (you can download it from Apple's site)?

Error message after updating Nokia Browser.

In my Nokia X2-02, after updating Nokia Browser, it gave me an error message: Conflicting applications, Show items?
Please fix this bug, as I have tried resetting all settings and updating the software via PC.

This is a known problem which happens sometimes: there's a new versio of browser available, but the application get corrupted during the download/installation of the app and stops working. Updating the device SW with Nokia Suite does not unfortunately fix the problem.. The only sure way to have the issue fixed would be to take the phone to a Nokia Care service point for refurbishing. http://www.nokia.com/global/support/locations/
Another possible workaround for the problem is to use e.g. Opera Mini instead of Nokia Browser. (you can install it with Nokia Suite even though the Nokia Browser on your phone is now non-working).
I have tried to push Nokia to release a new SW update for most device models which would correct the issue without the need to refurbish the device at a Care Point, but the latest conclusion was that the problem does not occur frequently enough to create such fix... Except for a few very latest devices should be getting it in near future

Continual error message after updating to 10.0

I recently updated to Firefox 10.0 browser. Every time I open the browser now I receive an error message "JavaScript Application - can't create mcafee plug-in object: TypeError: Components.class(cid) is undefined". I do not have a McAfee plug-in - how do I eliminate this message. Also I tried to send this through Feedback and it would not send.

The settings have changed slightly in FCP X for exporting compressor settings, so this may be your reason. I can no longer export using apple Qmaster cluster settings, which never worked anyway for me, inside FCP X. Do you have compressor and did you update compressor if you have compressor?

I just installed a bunch of the most recent updates. Now error messages keep popping up about dead links in my start menu. I think this might be associated with the bluetooth update. Does anyone have an idea about what is happening on my laptop? ... or a solution to fix this issue?

Adobe Photoshop CS2 Error messages after update to mac os 10.4.6

After updated to mac os 10.4.6 everytime I use Photoshop CS2 I receive an error message "Could not complete your request because of a program error"
I did all the workarounds that were described in document 331627 from Adobe's website and nothing worked.
I also subscribe to maxosx.com support and someone suggested removing the legal.localized/Tien...file from the photoshop cs2/legal directory, but everytime I tried to select the directory "legal" from within the finder view, it disappeared and closed the finder window.
HELP!

Did you upgrade from a previous version of OS X like 10.3.x or 10.2.x or from a prior version of 10.4.x? If the former, there are probably some files in your previous system folder that need to be restored.
Otherwise, double click Photoshop when it's closed, and then IMMEDIATELY hold Command + Option + Shift. You'll get a box for resetting the settings. Select Yes and maybe that will help.
