  • Error message appears when attempting to access apps = server connnection error -1.

photosmart 6510, operating on a Mac computer. Error message occurs on product screen.  all network and wireless connections appear good. no new product updates available. The apps function was previously working OK until last 2 weeks

    Hello,
The first thing I would do is follow step six in this document to set a static IP: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02817031&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=4023246&tmp...
When it askes for DNS information, enter in Google's DNS. Preferred DNS = 8.8.8.8 Alt DNS = 8.8.4.4
Once that is done make sure to turn the printer off and back on and try the apps again.  If you are still having trouble, try turning off your router and the printer.  Turn the router back on first, and leave the printer off untill the router looks like it is stable.  Once the router is stable, turn the printer on and try the apps.
If that does not help, if you could provide me with the following information it would help me out. First, who is your ISP( Internet Service Provider, i.e. Comcast, AT&T, Verizon, ect.)? Second, who is the maker of your router? Lastly, what is the model number and firmware version of your router?

  • 'Configuration Error: 6' appears when attempting to open Photoshop on new Macbook

I had Photoshop CS5 installed on my previous Macbook which is now broken, however a friend of mine was able to copy it on to an external hard drive for me. I have now purchased a new Macbook, copied and installed Photoshop on to it from the external, however when I try to open it, 'Error: 6' appears, it states: 'Configuration error. Please uninstall and reinstall the product. if this problem still occurs, please contact Adobe technical support for help, and mention the error code shown at the bottom of this screen.'
How do I fix this problem? Thank you in advance.

Install Photoshop from scratch from the original medium, download or DVD.
Whether your friend "copied" Photoshop from your own broken Mac Book or from his machine (the latter would be completely illegal software piracy, by the way), that will NEVER work on your new machine.
First, the Photoshop installation places many auxiliary files outside the Photoshop folder all over the place.  Copying misses a bunch of critical files.
Second, the activation of the installed copy of the activation is tied to the serial numbers on the CPU of the machine and is useless in any other machine.
I repeat:  Install Photoshop from scratch from the original medium, download or DVD.

I get error message 42032 when trying to connect an iPhone to iTunes. Any ideas how to fix it?

Did you already try these suggestions?
    Check USB connections
    Related errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response,” and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
    Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you checked your connections and are still seeing the error message, check for hardware issues.

  • Error message appears when selecting emailed link but there's no problem

I upgraded to Firefox 7.0.1. Now, when I select an emailed link to a website, I always receive a General Failure error message indicating that Firefox can't reach the website. In the meantime, the thin red-light progress line appears and the website comes up fine. Thee error message appears consistently but there's rarely a problem reaching a website. Any suggestions on how to eliminate the error message?

I'm responding to my own post. I checked the error messages more carefully and found that they are Microsoft Outlook generated and not Firefox. This could still be a Firefox problem but I thought I should point this out.

  • Error message appear when I compile the HelloWorldImp.c in JNI tutorial

I have followed the JNI tutorial to study JNI.
When I followed 'Step 5: Create a Shared Library' to compile the HelloWorldImp.c, following error message appears:
    $gcc -g -I/usr/local/java/include -I/usr/local/java/include/solaris \
    HelloWorldImp.c -o libhello.so
    /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/2.96/../../../crt1.o: In function `_start':
    /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/2.96/../../../crt1.o(.text+0x18):undefined reference to `main'
collect2: ld return 1 exit status
    What's the problem?

gcc was trying to link your code into a runnable application. This is the default behaviour. Hence, it was looking for main() which is the entry point in a c/c++ application. By telling gcc to compile a shared library instead, with the -shared option, the linker did not try to produce a runnable program, and hence (that two hence's now, sorry) did not look for the main() function. Therefore (this is getting too formal!), there is no need to provide a main() function in a shared library.
