Error message at login

Whenever I start iTunes 9.0 for Windows I get the following error message and have to close the dialog box before iTunes will start.
The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes.
Well, I do not use iTunes for importing CDS or burning CDs. I like the CD burning software I have. I have attempted to reinstall iTunes but it interferes with my CD burning software.
Is there any way to disable looking for the registry entries and just start iTunes? This never happened until I upgraded to iTunes 9.0. I like version 8 better, but I am afraid to revert back to it.

Have you tried disabling the Burn software tasks in task manager before starting iTunes?

  • Passing error message from login module to login page

    Hello,
    we have a custom login module to authenticate user in ldap and to grant application roles stored in db.
    Is it possible to pass error catched in login module to the user (display the error message on login screen)? We think it is helpful to see correct reason why the user couln't be logged in.
    Notes:
    Jdev version is 10.1.3.1. Custom login module was written using Frank Nimphius guidelines and examples.

    Hi,
    if you followed this example then it is configured for container managed authentication, in which case the error message cannot be propagated to the view.
    There was a similar discussion on the J2EE forum and the answer was that the OC4J team will put this on a list of enahncements they track. The technical reason appears to be that the J2EE spec does not foresee to tell users about the "why" authentication fails - which clearly is a limitation of the Spec.

  • Custom Error message in Login Page

    Hi,
    I am using MVC framework for my project. I want to display custom error messages to the user in the Login page(JSP).
    For eg: invalid password, password has been expired etc. How do I pass these messages from Java to my login page & display it?

    This is a sample action class for login page in struts : -
    package xxx;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse;
    import org.apache.struts.action.ActionError;
    import org.apache.struts.action.ActionErrors;
    import org.apache.struts.action.ActionForm;
    import org.apache.struts.action.ActionForward;
    import org.apache.struts.action.ActionMapping;
    import LoginForm.java;
    public class Action extends org.apache.struts.action.Action
    public ActionForward execute(ActionMapping mapping, ActionForm form,
    HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response)
    throws Exception {
    ActionErrors errors = new ActionErrors();
    ActionForward forward = new ActionForward(); // return value
    String username;
    String password;
    try {
    LoginForm lf = new LoginForm;
    username =lf.getUserName();
    password = lf.getPassword();
    if( username== null)
    forward=mapping.getInputForward();
    if( (username == "admin" ) && ( password="admin"))
    // do something here
    } catch (Exception e) {
    // Report the error using the appropriate name and ID.
    //Errors will be caught here.
    errors.add("name", new ActionError("id"));
    // If a message is required, save the specified key(s)
    // into the request for use by the <struts:errors> tag.
    if (!errors.isEmpty()) {
    saveErrors(request, errors);
    // Forward control to the appropriate 'failure' URI (change name as desired)
    //     forward = mapping.findForward("failure");
    } else {
    // Forward control to the appropriate 'sucuess' URI (change name as desired)
    forward = mapping.findForward("success");
    // Finish with
    return (forward);
    You need to have LoginForm.java as Model and Login.jsp as View . Action.java will be your controller.

    Dear All,
    please check the Sapgui version AND also the SAP kernel Patch level.
    This is a known issue with an older  Sapgui Patch level of the sapgui 7.10!
    Please install the latest Sapgui patch 18. then you will see the right error messages in this popup.

  • Error message on login to XSAN MDC and clients

    Hi,
    I installed a new XSAN system with SLServer,10.6.1 and XSAN 2.2 then updated XSAN to 2.2.1.
    The system works fine, the only thing whenever I login from client or server I have an error message popping for all FC attached LUNs, " the disk you inserted was not readable by this computer" I did a quick search on the net and it seems to be related missing AppleXsanFilter.kext. But for my case the kext is present at the expected location.
    When I click Ignore on the message window, the message dissapears. I didnt try Initialize, I dont want to destroy my XSAN volume, but the users are pretty curious about what's the message is and if they click the wrong button, what happens.
    Is there any way to have a message free login?
    BTW, whoever login into the system, XSAN user, local user etc, the mesasage appears for each and every LUN attached.
    Thanks and regards.

    Hi "bonematrix" - thanks for your suggestion.  I found the Help icon but was unable to find "Change, delete or reorder wifi networks" under WiFi.  I called my internet provider because earlier in the year I had problems accessing my e-mail because they had changed some of the security settings.  They tell me that what is happening is not related to anything they did in this respect although they did check into it for me.  It seems you are absolutely my last resort.  I would so appreciate you providing me with the explanation of how to accomplish this.  I am desparate!!

  • What are these error messages on login?

    I just used migration assistant when I set up my new iMac 2.16 C2D from my old G4. My console log reveals the following error message on boot-up. I'm the only user on this mac:
    Mac OS X Version 10.4.8 (Build 8L2127)
    2007-02-07 06:55:44 -0800
    2007-02-07 06:55:44.402 loginwindow[65] FSResolveAliasWithMountFlags returned err = -35
    2007-02-07 06:55:44.403 loginwindow[65] LoginItems LSOpenFromURLSpec return err = -10814
    NOTE: ignoring this component:
    Discovered 0 component = 0x7fd6f6 type = imdc subt = 1Bt2 manu = Domi flags = 0
    Can anyone tell what is going on?
    iMac 2.16 C2D   Mac OS X (10.4.8)
    G4 Sawtooth 1.3ghz + iPod video   Mac OS X (10.4.3)
    iMac 2.16 C2D   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    AFAICT, you have something in System Preferences->Accounts->Login Items that's calling an URL and the loginwindow can't find the volume because the file system (FS) can't resolve an alias. Remove anything in the list that you don't want by selecting it and hitting the minus sign. Restart and see if that clears things up.

  • Error message when login to Remote Web Access

    Hi everyone,
    I have a server that is running Windows Server 2012 Essential. All was working fine until one day I tried to login to Remote Web Access. As soon as I type in my user name and password and press enter I am greeted with the following error message:
    "Critical Error - Remote Web Access" (this is displayed in the browser's web page bar)
    "Cannot connect to Remote Web Access. Please contact the person who manages the server."
    I don't know how to fix this problem. I only get this error page when entering the correct login.
    I will be very grateful if anyone knows hot to get around this.
    Thanks!

    Hi John:
    Before we get too worried, try "other user" then domain-name\user-name and pw.
    Try that and let us know.
    Also, and becuse you should do it anyway, run the BPA and fix everthing it finds, look through the event viewer for error messages, and run the BPA from right side under the devices tab.

  • Error message on login

    error message on boot-up:  cannot find file C;\\users\\chris\\appdata\\local\\temp\\7zs46a9\\hpslpsvc64.dll.
    Only get this message when my wife logs on running Windows 7 64-bit., printer works fine?

    Hello Cjvoeg,
    I understand you’re getting this message on boot.
    First thing I would like you do is run a system file check. If you’re not sure how to do that just click on this link and it will show you how.
    I believe this is some type of program that launches when the PC does, there is a good chance it is a program that runs in the background so you might not physically see it running on the screen. Below are the steps to access your statup items, i would recommend disabling all of them and restart and see if the message comes back up.
    Access startup items:
     Go to start in the bottom left corner.
     Type msconfig in search box (do not press enter)
     Click on msconfig up at the top.
     When the smaller box comes up click the startup tab across the top.
     In the bottom right corner of that box click disable all, then apply, then OK.
     The PC will prompt to restart go ahead and accept.
    Please respond at your earliest convenience.
    Thanks
    Clicking the White Kudos star on the left is a way to say Thanks!
    Clicking the 'Accept as Solution' button is a way to let others know which steps helped solve the problem!

  • Receive error message on login to WIFI

    I do hope someone can help.  I have had my Playbook for more than a year now and am only now starting to work with it!!!  I know, crazy.  A couple of months ago I didn't have a problem accessing the WIFI (we were in the US at the time) now back in Canada when I try to log on I get the following error message "Security/Certificate Error.  Please check you time/date settings and try again."  I have checked the time and date settings and they are all correct.  I performed the OS update in the hopes that this would solve the problem.  What next?

  • What is the error message 1219 (login incorrect)?

    Hi guys!
    Please, I have here a big problem: I cannot access the Time Capsule. My password is correct, my login is correct, and  I has seen the message:
    "Unknow user, incorrect password, or login is disabled. Please retype the login information or contac the disk's administraor (1219)."
    Pls, help!

    You put a disk password .. why? Just use the TC password.
    Also turn on guest access and full read write access to get it working with windows 7. There is some permissions issues here where SMB was changed by MS.. and to get it working you need to reduce it either in windows which is hard or just put on guest access.
