Error message for export to PDF in CS3 after os upgrade

I upgraded my Mac o/s to 10.6.8 -Snow Leopard - Now CS3 gives me an error when I try to export a file to PDF that says"PDF library failed to initialize" Adobe says that CS3 is compatible with snow leopard, but they don't troubleshoot CS3 anymore. Anybody have an idea on how to fix?

Uninstall InDesign. Uninstaller should be in Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers. Reinstall InDesign from your original media or your backup installer.

Means you have an incompatible Safari extension installed. Look in the /Home/Library/Safari/Extensions/ folder for the offending plug-in and delete it.

Getting error message for "user created how tos" CS3

I tried to create some new How Tos in CS3 and recieved the following error message when I try to open it:
"The Adobe Help application could not load a URL because the specified file could not be found. You may need to re-install the application and the help component."
If I access one of the ones created with CS2 it opens (I dragged them over from CS2, I have since removed CS2 from this computer, it's still on my laptop) I haven't tried creating them and importing them to this computer).
I'm using Microsoft Office Word 2003 to save the How Tos as html files, and notepad to edit Add_001.howto file.
Since I gotten this error, I reloaded CS3 Design Standard, it didn't fix the problem. Also I have ensured that the Add_001.howto file points to the right location (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Help\additional how to content)and is in the right format:
"John Shaws CS3" "47. A GLOSSARY OF IMAGING TERMS" 47.html (works).
"Noise Ninja" "The Thirty Second Guide to Noise Ninja" Noise Ninja 001.html (doesn't work)
The only thing new on the computer is a brand spanking new EVGA NVidia Geforce 9500GT PCI express(512 mb ddr2 dual DVI output) with the latest drivers. It replaced NVidia GeForce 6600GS and Matrox Millenium video cards (the Matrox). The new video card does not include some program that allows it to run MS-DOS programs, but I don't feel that is causing the problem.
System Info:
Photoshop CS3 10.0.1
Computer: Gateway DX310X with Gateway FPD1975W and FPD1730 monitors
Windows XP Media Center Edition, Service Pack 3
Intel Pentium D proccessor
1GB internal memory
168GB of free space on hard drive.
I hope I have given you suffiecient information to give me some possible solutions.

Thanks for the assist.
It isn't a Windows Indexing Service problem.
It is an operator problem. As you pointed out the long name and spacing are the issue here.
I changed the the Add_001.howto file from:
"Noise Ninja" "The Thirty Second Guide to Noise Ninja" Noise Ninja 001.html
to:
"Noise Ninja" "The Thirty Second Guide to Noise Ninja" NN001.html
I changed the file in the Additional How To Content folder, to match.
And it works now.
Now that I know what was wrong with my file names, I'll be able to get the various plugin help files/documents into Photoshop so I won't have to get out of it to get help on them.

If so, does the file have a .pdf extension on it?

Best audio format to embed for export to pdf?

Hello, I was wondering what format for audio file would be best to embed for exporting to pdf. I want to embed the audio file in a button, for playback on mouseover in the exported pdf. Previously, when I had CS3, I actually had to convert my mp3s to avi files, as (believe it or not) that turned out to be the only format that would play back properly with a toolbar in the pdf, and only after I changed the media player (from quicktime to flash) for EACH audio file in the pdf. It was a headache trying to embed hundreds of audio files and I'm just wondering if CS5 has improved.

Steve, that's (if I remember right) why I had to convert my mp3s to avi when I used CS3; because when I played them back in the exported pdf there was no controller-- but there was for avi. The problem I then had was with Acrobat/reader, which had quicktime set as the default player, so when I clicked the button to play the audio (avi) file, the pdf froze. This I solved by changing the default player FOR EACH audio file in the document (there were over 400) to adobe flash player; and because the audio was avi, as you say, a nice controller appeared, which disappeared once the audio finished. This was an OK workaround, if it wasn't for the fact that because I was using the flash player, the interactive pdf couldn't be used by mac users-- which many of the ebook's readers are. D'oh! So now I'm thinking to just stick with the mp3 format, now that Indesign can handle mp3s, and as you say, create buttons for stop and playback; this also solves the problem of having to post-export adjust the player settings for each file, which is not very fun, because when you edit the indesign document for future versions, it's kind of an annoyance to import pages to replace pages in the pdf without replacing the audio files. Anyway. Steve thank you for thinking out the finer details of my issue; I appreciate it and will have a go at making buttons, and let you know how that goes for such an interactive pdf. I am using a BAPI which gives errors in return table.I am executing this BAPI for several materials in a LOOP.I need to display the error messages for each of these materials as shown below:

Error message for BIB-14418

What is the error message for BIB-14418? I could not see this particular one in bibean help docs.

This message is displayed every time we use export (it's just to inform the user that StorageManager was initialized properly). The word "PROBLEM" is standard output of our DefaultErrorHandler's log method.
We are planning to update the Help topic, which shows the syntax of the export utility, to indicate that this is a benign message.

Sorry, don't know what else to suggest unless there's a URL to the problem stream that someone here can try. Otherwise we can't test it to try and determine what might be wrong.
BTW, make sure they're testing it with a Mac, not with a Windows system. If they test only with Windows, what they say is or is not working doesn't mean much.

How to prevent error message for material description in MDG material detail screen, when user click on check action

Dear Experts,
I have a requirement for making material description as non mandetory in change request view of mdg material screen.
I have done that using field usage in get data method of feeder classes, but still message is displaying.
This message 'Material description is mandatory is displaying with check action only, but not with save or submit after i anhance field property as not mandetory.
How to prevent error message for material description in MDG material detail screen, when user click on check action.

Hello Sukumar
In IMG activity "Configure Properties of Change Request Step", you can completely deactivate the reuse area checks (but will then loose all other checks of the backend business logic as well).
You can also set the error severity of the checks from Error to Warning (per CR type, not per check).
Or you provide a default value for the material description, e.g. by implementing the BAdI USMD_RULE_SERVICE.
