Error message in app store

So I am getting a weird error message on my iPhone all of a sudden when trying to update apps: ""your account is not valid for use in the Australian store. You must switch to the U.S. Store before purchasing." I live in NYC. I don't even see an option for switching stores. Any help?

Try logging out and in again. If that does not work, on the app store app Featured page scroll to the bottom of the page. You will see your Apple ID at the bottom of the page. Click on it and and you will see an option to select the country.
PS Clicking on the Apple ID is also the way you logout of the store..

  • I cannot update IPhoto or IMovie- Error message from App Store

    Hi there-
I cannot update IPhoto or IMovie. I have the latest OS. I cannot use these Apps either- they both ask me to update to the newest version, but when I try to I get an error message saying that the App store could not complete my request and to please try again later (null). Any ideas??

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Select
    /var/log ▹ appstore.log
from the hierarchical list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar. Then select the messages from the last installation or update attempt, starting from the time when you initiated it. If you're not sure when that was, click the Clear Display button in the toolbar of the Console window and then try the installation again.
Copy the messages to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.

  • Error Message In App Store?(Please Help)

So I just bought a brand new 2012 Macbook Pro retina display which by the way I love, but every time I go to the app store it keeps saying I have 2 updates but then when I go to update them it keeps giving me these error messages and wont let me update them??? Can someone please offer me suggestions or some solutions? Any help is greatly appreciated.
"You have updates available for other accounts."
"To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it."

The App Store is tied to the Apple ID account that you used when you originally purchased your machine and registered it. It sounds as if you created a new Apple ID? If so, you need to use the original.
See this page - http://www.apple.com/support/appleid/ - for checking your Apple ID, any multiple accounts you may have, etc.
    Good luck,

  • TS3694 Error message in App Store saying "Can not connect to iTunes Store"?

Just started using my iPad 3 that I just recieved for my birthday a few days ago. Last night went to download a new App from the App store, which was free. After hitting the "free" button and continuing on and hitting the "download App" button I received an error message saying "Can Not connect to iTunes Store" and the word "OK" under that to make it go away. I continued on with other games to see if it was just an issue with that one but no matter what i hit it says that same error message. I spent hours on the phone with Apple Support only to have the gentlemen have me save everything on my iPad onto my iTunes on my PC and then start to Restore to Factory setting and then was told if had any issues to call them back. I left the room for about 5 min. only to come back to have an error message saying "The ipad could not be restored, an unknown error occurred (3014). I was just wondering if anyone else is having any issues similiar to mine. Please advise. My next step is to call back up and ask to speak to a Support Specialist the gentlemen said..once it goes to the "restore" point regular tech support can not help he explained.. Just frustrated after spending over 1 1/2 hrs on the phone to have gotten nowhere and now have to call back and start again with something brand new.. I just think i got a lemon!!

This what Apple's iTunes specific error codes support article says about that particular error.
Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3014, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.

There seems to be a current issue for a small number of people trying to download the LPX app (or any other large app for that matter) from the Mac App store...
Most people have found that trying it a day or so later then works..
However, check out these tips first.... in case it's not related to the issue i just metioned...
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-6422
Also try signing out of the Mac App Store... restart your Mac and the sign back in again (Sign out and in can be found under the Mac App Store menu item : Store) This will sometimes fix the issue too...
..and if all else fails.. Contact Apple directly for assistance with this problem.

  • Error Message (-1004) App store

I have a computer running 10.8.2 it won't allow me to do any software updates through the app store. I'm greeted with an error message that says can't connect to the server (-1004)

I too have this problem.  Right now I can't apply Software Updates:
    1) Java for OS X 2013-003 1.0
    2) Safari 6.0.4
    3) Digital Camera Raw COmpatibility Update 4.05
    4) HP Printer Software Update 2.14
I am able to install application updates.  For instance, I was able to update my Twitter app to the update that came out today or yesterday.  This just seems to impact the Software Updates for the OS.

  • Can't download Lion because of error message in app store

My mac is about 3 years old and I am trying to update to the lion opertaing system.  I bought and installed Snow Leopard.  Now I am trying to buy and download Lion.
The App store keeps telling me that "We could not complete your purchase.  Mac OS X 10.7 requires at least 2GB of memory."
I have 134 GB of available space so I don't understand the issue.  Any suggestions??

You are confusing Disc Space with RAM... RAM = Memory...
You need at least 2 GB of RAM.. More would be better...
Have a look here for getting the Correct RAM for your Mac...

  • Error message at app store: "try later"

For the last 12 hours when trying to buy an iPod touch app I get an error msg stating credit card purchases have ben disabled and try again later. Anyone else? Have also emailed Apple support.

I tried to install Yosemite on my wife's MacBook Pro and it came up with this message. I thought it had something to do with her using my email for her purchases which I've now updated to her own email for Apple ID. However, she was logged in with her Apple ID and I couldn't download ANY apps.
Hmm - I tried on my own iMac (with my Apple ID) and it worked fine!
Went back to her MacBook Pro and tried downloading a different app and  . . . it worked. As does the update to Yosemite which is download as we speak.
Error 4, then, seems to be a server issue and can easily be resolved by "just waiting"!
Why Apple doesn't tell us this (the only references to Error 4 were to this forum) and save us the worry (or hassle). Alternatively, the whole Error (4) message could be replaced by: Sorry - servers are a little busy right now. Please try again later.

  • Getting an error message on App Store saying ConnectionManager::invoke::Failed to find service connection URL... What does this mean??

When I'm about to install an app I get this message. It ask me to retry and put my password again. After 3 attempts it ask me to reset my password.. I already did a password reset. I'm also connected to wifi.... Please help

From what I'm seeing, looks like it's being fixed even as we speak.  My recommendation is to wait an hour or so and check again.  Inconvenient, but that's probably the best option.

  • Error message when installing updates. "There was an error in the App store. Please try again later" (20)

I've been trying to install recent updates for numbers, pages, and keynote, I get a message that says "There was an error in the App store. Please try again later." (20).  I tried several times over the last few days and continue to get the same error  message.

Thank you Catherine & MrToaster - Yes - I've just updated to my new credit card. All the details were correct, inc authorisation code but App Store kept prompting me to update iMovie then, not allowing me to (There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (20)).
Your advice worked - I logged out and in again.
The problem is that I'll definitely have forgotten your tip when my card next expires!

I am trying to download Yosemite. Repeatedly getting message:There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later."

That cryptic error message might mean that the payment information in your account is invalid. Check with your credit-card issuer to see whether a charge was denied. If not, see below.
Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this test is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account. Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault in OS X 10.7 or later, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The "Guest User" login created by "Find My Mac" is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
