  • Error message: Adobe encore no longer works

I am working with Premiere Pro CC and Encore CS6, finished one project, burned blue ray, all OK.
On the next day, i could not start a new project, encore opens, the error message comes, it is only possible to close encore.
Opening a old project causes the error: no access ??? Same problems with admin rights.
I have a Windows 8.1 x64 System, installed Encore CS6 again, the error messages come every time.

    >Same problems with admin rights
Right click the program icon and select Run as Administrator, which is NOT the same thing as running the computer with the Administrator account, and which fixes several "odd" problems... To create a two layer DVD or a BluRay, you must have Encore set to use the Run as Administrator option

  • CS6 on Windows 7 - when I try and send my project to Adobe Link, then to Encore I repeatedly get the error message "Encore has stopped working, windows will close the program".  I get the same error message when I try and open Encore on its own.  Help wou

Both when I open Encore as a standalone program, and when I try and export my work via Adobe Link to Send to Encore, I get the same error message - "Adobe Encore has stopped working.  Windows will close the program.  Help would really be appreciated.  Thanks.

Now that is impressive Stan, thankyou!  So simple ...  I don't suppose you know why the "build" button is greyed out do you?  Don't worry if you don't have more "magic dust" at your fingertips, I'll re-check my settings again, and again ...  Thanks for your help.  Doreen.

As well as the below, right click the Encore icon and select Run as Administrator... which fixes several "odd" problems

  • Error message frustration

I have received the following error message from ENCORE CS3 when attempting a build of a Blu-ray project:
Blu-ray object: audience address DRESS REHEARSAL, Error: invalid operation", Code 19, NOTE primary video stream must be consistent within playlist.
The ENCORE CS3 HELP index has no reference to ERROR messages. Like many other Adobe end users, I challenge Adobe's claim to producing 'professional' software when it is unsuited to the use intended. I cite as but one reason such typical Adobe error messages as this, which are all but meaningless to all but Adobe's own technogeeks without proper context and explanation.
Might I have these please so I can get on with my work?

I get the same message, and I only have one timeline. How can it be a different resolution from itself? Could it be the menu having a different resolution?(I only made that 720 by 480 widescreen out of habit...and since the main product was going to be regular DVD) If anyone figured it out, I'd like to know. Fortunately this is just for a friend, not a customer this time. But someday it will be a customer and I need to know what's going on here...
    More info:
My timeline was created in premiere, exported to adobe media encoder, and encoded in HDV 1440x1080i

  • Error message when opening Encore

Hi there.  I have been working with CS5 just fine for several weeks now and have burned several different projects without issues.  However, when I opened up Encore this morning to start building a DVD, I got this message: Adobe Encore.exe - No Disk.  There is no disk in the drive.  Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk5\DR5.
My options to this error message is "Cancel", "Try Again", and "Continue".  At some point or another, I have hit every one of these buttons and after several clicks, the message dissappears.  I then try to open my project and it loads to 6% before becoming non-responsive.  I've loaded several different ones of different sizes and still the same thing.  I have reinstalled Encore - no change.  I have restarted my computer - no change.  Pro is working just fine and have had no errors with it today.  One other error message I have gotten is the same except it says at the top of the box "PProHeadless.exe - No Disk".
Any ideas?  As I said above, this computer has not had an issue before and nothing as been done to this since the last time we successfully built and burned a DVD (no new software/hardware, etc).
    Running Windows 7 64-bit

I am not sure what to check for in regards to the Windows Event Viewer...
Me either, but once upon a time, the application involved was not what I thought, and I was able to quickly solve the problem. The application is one of the things a windows event log identifies. I suspect you are seeing the application that is identified in the header for the error window that pops up  (encore.exe and pproheadless.exe), but perhaps not.
I would also look for other errors in the logs, that may not be popping up, involving the drive info you saw.
I would look first in the Windows Logs -> Application.
I suspect a non-Encore cause (e.g. a windows update) that fouled something up.
I would also treat this as an Encore crash that is not limited to a corrupted project:
Troubleshoot system errors and freezes | Adobe software on Windows
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/822/cpsid_82252.html
I would start by resetting preferences and also running as administrator.

  • I am trying to import subtitles to Adobe Encore but am getting error messages...

I am trying to import subtitles from a software called Aegisub to Adobe Encore, but i am receiving this error message:
The software that is used to decode the media is not available on this system. Installing the correct decoders for the files you are working with may help to correct the problem.
I have exported the subtitles as an Encore text file but it still won't allow me attach these to my video. I have exported the video from Premiere as an H.264 and that slots into Encore just fine, i just need to use Encore to attach the subtitles.
Can anyone tell me what i might be doing wrong?
    Thank you.

Thanks Stan. I think this is probably the answer but seeing as i am doing this at work, it is telling me the action was stopped because it needs to be checked by an administrator.
If i manage to succeed, i shall let you know. I was trying to import as an asset, wrongly, so this is probably going to be the solution.
    Thank you

  • Received trascode loading error message when I tried to save a project in Encore CS4`

I have Encore CS4 operating on Windows 8 64 bit.  I tried to save a project and received the following message: Error loading transcode preset Internal/Blu-ray NTSC SD MPEG-2.  The project is to be a DVD not BLU-ray.  I opened the original project as administrator....help
    Thanks,
    Bryan

Yes, it let me create a project.  The error came when I tried to save...not save as...also came when I went to build the DVD.  It always saves before it begins to build and the same error message came up again.  It is a very simple DVD...no menus....just a plug and play.  It is a thearter performance that was shot and then edited in Pro and opening titles and credits added.  The thought is that the DVD would be put into the player and the timeline begins to play from the opening titles to the end credits...nothing fancy......

  • ENCORE CS6 gives error message during the burning of Blu-ray Disc

I did it again - upgraded my Production Premium CS5 to CS6.
I will not forget CS4 that never came to work. It was not a workable version, but at best an Alfa or maybe Beta version.
I was therefore naturally afraid to upgrade my reasonably well functioning CS5 version, but did it anyway.
My fears kept unfortunately connectors. Audition CS6 scratchy and crunches a lot when I change Audio Device from MME to ASIO. It should be noted, that none of my other programs have this problem neither my Soundbooth nor Audition 5.5 which I fortunately still have installed. So it is only Audition CS6 that crunches with ASIO4ALL.
Encore CS6 is also a problem child. When I try to burn a Blu-ray Disc I get, in the final phase, following error message: Blu-ray Error: "device error", Code: "CreateStcSequence: Fail to write M2S file"
Fortunately, I can open the project file in my Encore CS5, which do not have the same problem. Encore CS6 cannot be used as a standalone application - I still need to have a previous version installed to complete my projects. It is not fair.
Unfortunately I can see that many others have the same problem. Even worse, however, that Adobe still has not come with an update or fair solution of the problem - after so long.
It annoys me infinitely, I every time have to spend so much time on the Internet in an attempt to find solutions to remedy Adobe problems. These are programs I have paid dearly for - exactly twice as much as others living in the U.S. pay - just because I live in Europe.
If there is a user who has some useful suggestions I would appreciate it very much.
I must complain about my bad English.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Jim,
ISO files also works for me, but that's not what I paid for.
So far I use just the previous version CS5, but hope at some point to get CS6 to work.

As a test, tell Encore to create an ISO on your hard drive, then use the free http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download to write to disc
If that works, the problem is some other software that is "hijacking" your burner so Encore can't properly "talk" to it to burn

  • Trying to edit on Encores provided Menu templates. Error message PhotoShop File-1 and Sorry, Abnormal Condition has been Detected

I've had Encore CS5 for 1 1/2 years and have only used it twice. This third time, I started getting an error message when I try to edit on one of the menu templates provided by Encore. First message is PhotoShop File-1 and then "Sorry, Abnormal Condition has been detected. You have one chance to save your work (use a different file name to save it under)
I don't own PhotoShop and have only JUST NOW installed an elements version. I use a MAC with OS X 10.9.5. I have never had a virus or any other issues using Adobe products, including my Premiere CS5. Even when I bring in my own menu artwork, I still receive the same error messages. I tried updating Encore. I am at a loss.@

One of the first issues we saw here with Mavericks. Appeared to be more of an issue with Encore 5.0 and 5.1 than 6. But I believed users found a way to fix this. We did not get enough reports back.

  • Please Help Me!  Encore giving error message on Build:  "fatal error", Code: "6", note: "video buffe

    Hello,
I have been trying to build a project (a 50gb Blu Ray disc) for the last couple of days and I keep getting an error message I have never gotten before.  The error says: "fatal error", Code: "6", note: "vide buffer underflows  Total bitrate is too high near..."
I don't know why this is happening.  I build this entire project from the ground up once before using the exact same assets but I accidently deleted that project file so I had to put it together again.  But it was practically identical.  And it would build the project just find.  I deleted the cache folder.  I deleted the main video timelines and recreated them.  I made sure the transcode settings for bitrate were not too high.  I did everything I can think of.
Can someone please help me?  I have no idea what to do now.  The frustrating thing is that the error message doesn't tell me what asset the problem is with or anything.  This is a rather complicated project.  I have two full length movie files (about 90 minutes each) and seven video special features.  I have five audio tracks and a couple of subtitle tracks.  I don't have any idea what asset is causing the problem!
But I used all these same assets before and I built the project perfectly.  And it is not the subtitles because I deleted the subtitle tracks and I still got the error message.
Is there any way of knowing what assets are causing the problem?  How can I fix this?
I have a number of people who are waiting for the completion of this disc so I need to get this resolved pretty soon.
    Thanks.

The error says: "fatal error", Code: "6", note: "vide buffer underflows  Total bitrate is too high near..."
What is the rest of the error message?
What version of Encore and what operating system?
    using the exact same assets
What format? Already transcoded m4v/a3c 5.1 or what? Does Encore show them for Bluray as "Do Not Transcode"?
What were the export settings, particularly bitrate?
Is there any way of knowing what assets are causing the problem?
    Not through the error message.
Rather than deleting elements to see what causes it, I would add elements (e.g. you got the error, deleted the subtitle tracks, and still had the error, leaving the possibilit that a cache or similar is contining the problem even if the subtitles caused it).
So add just the menus and timelines, no extra audio, no subtitles,
When starting a new project, make sure you are using a new name for the project.

  • Error message transferring premiere pro CS3 project ot Encore

I use an earlire version of Premiere pro with no problem.  I cannot use CS3.  I can create a project and try to export
it to Encore to burn it to a DVD, but I get the following message:
PGC "project name" has an error at 00;05;55;14  Internal software error %0, line "project name"-PGC info;name="project name", ref=Bpgc,time=00;05;55;14
One person suggested changing the Bitrate from variable to constant.  I did that.  Same error message.
I'm really frustrated.  Can anyone help?

Ah, the dreaded PGC error. I would suggest that you head to the Encore Forum, and do a search for "PGC." There are probably 5 threads, and two are very, very long. Look closely, as some replies are tangents, and never proved to be useful, but some suggestions did - in certain circumstances.
Look closely at replies by Jeff Bellune and Stanley Jones, as they offer the most info.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
PS - welcome to the forum. I would also post to the Encore Forum with as much info as possible, as Stanley never makes it over here and has worked on this error for some years.

  • Encore DVD 2.0 _ General Error Message

I have just completed my first project w/Encore and when I checked the project there were no errors. However, once I start to build the DVD I receive a "General Error Message" and the build is aborted. I am at my wits end trying to determine why I receive such a message and if anyone can help I would be most appreciative.

Ah hah! Well, looks like it has something to do with my custom menu. I created a project and built it pretty much the same way as the one with issues, but used one of the menus that came with Encore... and it worked fine.
So... there still remains the question of the "incompatible media" error, and I really think it is just that maybe Encore doesn't like DVD+R DL's... or something along those lines. My burner likes them just fine with other apps (which BTW, I've uninstalled all of through this process). I would still like to know the answer to that question.
    But more than anything
I REALLY WANT TO USE MY CUSTOM MENU! Any chance I could get to someone and have them look at it, maybe you could tell me where I went wrong? Before I created it I read a lot of material on the subject, and to the best of my knowledge I followed all of the guidelines. I spent
A LOT of time building them, being the n00b that I am. :P
If you're able and willing, here's the
    main menu and the
    chapter menu.
Right click and choose "save target as...", or you'll probably end up with jiberish in your browser. :-|
    Thanks for your help!!!

  • Error message encore cs5 end action can't execute on the final chapter point

Dvd plays great. Exported it as a mpeg 2-dvd,  video only. Audio separate as a .wav. imported video as a timeline, audio as an asset. Video is not transcoded.
But I have a sub menu, with 6 chapter markers. I check the project and I get this: "error message encore cs5 end action can't execute on the final chapter point"
Do I need to make a chapter playlist? Because that gave me a "orphaned playlist" error message.
I selected the last chapter masker and had the end action go to the sub menu.
    Thanks!

Saw a previous thread where bill hunt said it ignore it and try to burn a copy.
