Error message in LSMW step 7

Hi Folks,
I'm creating a LSMW for Document Info. Record and in step 7 Specify Files a error message appears 'Logical path has not been specified'. In the forum the solution provided didn't help me; the solution provided was to assign a Logical path LSMW_LOG_PATH and a Physical file LSMW_LOG_FILE to the Converted Data. I also try to change the document from location and it didn't work.
Is there another solution I can use to resolve this issue. Any help will be great.

Hi,
Before assigning logical file path to archiving object you have to create it. There are 4 things that needs to be created before assigning it...
1. Logical File Path
2. Physical File path
3. Physical file name and
4. Logical file name
These has to be created and assingned in FILE transaction.
After creating above you have to assign Logical file name to Archiving object (SARA > Enter archiving object > Customizing > Archiving object specific customizing)
You can assign standard SAP defined Logical file name to archiving object for testing purpose. ARCHIVE_DATA_FILE is the standard one.

Ajay

ITUNES MATCH - Need help.  Windows 7 Error message on upload (Step 3) from PC - 3 times get "Windows must close program [iTunes]" with only 30-50 of 500+ songs.  Anyone have this issue of iTunes crashing?

Exactly the same problem here. As far as I can see this problem has been around since Match was first released with no action from Apple to rectify it. I've spent days trying to get this to work now and unless I get a fix soon, I'm going to pull my Match membership and ask for a refund because this is not what I signed up for...

  • Display Error Message in LSMW

    Hi,
I want to display the error records that did not get updated thru the transaction, using the LSMW tool... Please tell me how can I display where & in which record the error has occured...
    Thank You,
    Seema.

    Hi Seema,
As Rick pointed out, it all depends on which method you chose and in most cases, you may not have a direct link between the errors and records in your file that caused it.
In LSMW, you will pick a method(BAPI, IDOC, call transaction, Batch Input, Direct Input etc). All LSMW does is to convert your input file data into a format that is used by the method you used. As you may be aware of, your input file will be stored first as 'READ' file and then as a 'CONVERSION' file. It is this 'CONVERTED' file that is used by the method you use.
After the file is being processed by the method, if error occurs, it goes into whatever error logging mechanism that is available with the method you chose. For instance, if Batch Input program is chosen, then your error log may in the SM35 session log, or if a IDOC is chosen, then it may be in the IDOC status records.
If you give us what you are doing in LSMW, a more direct solution may be found.

my iPhoto won't open keeps on giving me an error message and my microsoft office two

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on seven different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary from version to version and OS to OS. So before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Basic stuff:
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
    - Did it ever work properly?
    - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.
With this kind of information somebody can develop a starting point for troubleshooting the issue.
Posts that consist of "iPhoto doesn't work. Help" or "iPhoto won't print" or "Suddenly I have no photos!!!!!!!!!!" mean that any helper is simply guessing. More information means you get better assistance. (And no, more exclamation marks do not get help faster or make your issue seem urgent. They just make it seem like you have a stuck key )

  • Error message from iTunes session ID unavailable

When updating or synching will get the error message "iTunes unable to connect with this iPhone, session ID unavailable".  I click OK then the message goes away, but I have absolutely no idea what that means, if the updates and items synchronized, or the whole thing will blow up sometime.  Cannot find session ID anywhere in the FAQ or Help files.

    Hello, Hilsco.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here is an article that I would recommend going through when receiving this error message.  Also, make sure your computer has the correct date and time set as this could cause this issue.

  • Handling Error Messages in Process Chain

    Hi Gurus,
I am developing a process chain which contains more than 40 Master Data Objects. Those are connected serially with "always" link.
    Start -> Load Data -> DTP -> Load Data -> DTP -
EX-OR (connected to all Processes for error message)
Here the EX-OR Process is not allowing me to connect with "Error" link to all processes (by default it is giving "Always" link). i.e i want to get the error message from EX-OR process only in the case of failure not always.
Can any one help me out.
    Thanks in advance,
    Chenna.

    Greetings Chenna,
First we need to check why the "always" link is used to connect the process chain steps?
If you take such "always" link to connect the steps, we cannot raise an error message link to EXOR( by default it will also take "always" link)
Here we can explore an error message thru EXOR step whenever a failure occurs in the process.
    Things we need to do:
    1. Steps in the process chain should be connected only on "successful" option selected.
    2. We need to link the required steps to the EXOR step with "errors" selected on the pop up.
    3. Need to link an Error message to EXOR step by selecting "Create message" on EXOR step.
Now if any failure occurs in the process the error message will be raised.
    this helps...
