Itunes won't install. Error message: Apple Application Support not found. What is the fix for this?
It is always these four updates that fail. I've tried downloading and installing them seperately from apple downloads. I've tried various recommended fixes, and nothing I can figure out works. Before these problems, itunes worked on the computer for a year.
Thank you again for wanting to help me.

cant install Itunes on my work computer, get error message: "Apple Application support not found, so i uninstall and reinstall again and its the same message
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if AAS won't install normally.

Why do I get the error message "iTunes Match could not be updated because you were disconnected from the network during processing." I'm on the internet during all of this. What disconnect is the message referring to? Itunes is frozen now. I keep clicking OK but it just comes back with no action.
Hello FredJay,
Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities.
iTunes Match needs a network connection to work, either Wi-Fi, cellular or wired. See the following:
Make sure you have an active Internet connection
Be sure your computer or device has an active Internet connection by loading a webpage using Safari or another web browser.
On an iOS device with cellular support, if you are not on a Wi-Fi network, try enabling 3G cellular data1 for iTunes Match.
For iOS 6, tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Use Cellular Data > On
For iOS 5.1.1 or earlier, tap Settings > iTunes & App Store > Use Cellular Data > On
1Fees may be associated with downloading over cellular networks; contact your wireless carrier for details.

Hi texasslagle,
It sounds like you are having issues installing iTunes on your Windows 7 PC, a frustrating situation I am sure.
There is an article that you may want to use to try to complete your install here -

I keep getting the error message "apple application support is required to run itunes. Please uninstall itunes and then install it again." I've done this twice and still keep getting the same message...I'm at wits end Please HELP!!!
Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, does iTunes launch properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.) -

I am using Windows Vista. My itunes launched fine until now. Now I get an error - "The Itunes application could not be opened. The required folder cannot be found". I have no idea what file it is looking for. Has anyone seen this error?
I have also tried to uninstall the package and I get the error Could not access network location %APPDATA%\. And it won't uninstall. I don't know why it's complaining in both cases.
Itunes was working 3 weeks ago with no problem.

Unable to Reinstall iTunes - error message: "Apple Application Support was not found"
When attempting to update my iPhone today, my iTunes would not open. I followed the instructions to completely uninstall iTunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour, and Apple Applications Support. I then attempted to reinstall iTunes, and everything went perfectly until I attempted to open iTunes. When attempting this, I am receiving the message "Apple Application Support was not found. Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again. Error 2 (Windows error 2). Any advice on how to "get this back"?
Read through the user ip http://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-6562 for the best solution.
