Error Message Makes Navigating or Saving Impossible

the problem basically is that photoshop has locked up completely with a few exceptions. I can scroll through my document, though i can't click on anything, menu bar included without prompting an error about a misnamed path. this makes it impossible to navigate my way out. key commands also seem completely ineffective.
don't want to loose my work and i can't find a way out of it. i suspect that the actual path renaming window is behind the actual main window but i can't access or move it without being turned away by the error message.
thankyou.
(i apologize, i recently posted this issue moments prior but was advised to reformat my query)

the error reads: "A path with that name already exists. Please choose a different name.", and appears whenever any part of the main window or menu-bar is clicked on. i can still somewhat navigate through some of the floating toolbars, though not all.

According to www.roaringapps.com the MP Navigator EX does not run on Mountain Lion.
There are different versions of MP Navigator available depending on the Canon device you have. And there are version of this app that do work on 10.8. So www.roaringapps.com would need to amend their statement.
    LexSchellings wrote:
Instead I use Canon Solution Menu EX, which does even more for you than the MP Navigator. This Solution Menu runs perfectly on Mountain Lion.
Solution Menu is just a front-end for other Canon applications. When you click on the Use Scanner menu and select Auto Scan, OCR or Attach To E-mail, MP Navigator will open.
As for the OP, they can obtain the latest version of MP Navigator, which is 10.8 compatible, and the supporting scanner driver via this link.

And you don't need to uninstall an older version. The new version will overwrite.

  • Insane error message makes browsing impossible

I am a habitual visitor at a gaming website (http://www.worldofwar.net/) for World of Warcraft users. Lately I'm getting an error message which makes browsing this site impossible. A big message comes on the screen: WARNING THIS SITE MAY HARM YOUR COMPUTER. Now I know that the site is very popular and well-managed and any malware that might creep on to it is dealt with immediately. I know the administrators have very high standards in what they allow on the site.
Now in order to make that error message go away I have to click "Ignore Warning" and then I get ANOTHER error box and have to click "Continue." Only then do I get to where I"m going. This happens EVERY TIME I click a link in the site's forum pages and every time I go back a page. It says this a system set up by Google and if you click some of the Google links you'll find that the site hasn't been found to be infected FOR MONTHS. This system is out of control. How is it that Google can take over my browser and make visiting a site impossible? What right do they have to do that? I have NEVER encountered this kind of interference and I have been to some pretty sleazy sites in my time.
Is there a Safari setting that will turn off this insane error message? To what extent is Safari responsible for this? Would it do any good to complain to Google? Even if there was malware on a site, my Mac probably wouldn't be affected. How can Safari permit such a takeover by another company?

I hope in the next version of Safari to see an "accepted site" setting which overrides the warning mechanism for specific web sites.

  • MP870 MP Navigator EX 3.1 Error Message: "MP Navigator has stopped working"

    Hello
I have a MX870 multi function inkjet. The scanned is the most important thing for me. BUt all of a sudden The software went crazy and cannot load. Everything was working fine up until a few weeks ago.
The error message from Windows is: MP navigator has stopped working then it gives me the option to debug or close. Either way nothing makes it work.
I am running it on Windows Vista Home Premium (service pack 2) . Device is connected via USB.
I have read other posts about the twain 32 folder but they refer to other operating systems  such as windows 7.  I also tried reinstalling the software. In fact, the cannon website where you can get support does not seem to have the model MX870.  I had to select model MX876 which was the closest, in order to obtain a link to download the software.

  • Firefox will not open at all, keep getting error message with last 2 saved web pages on it

Yesterday, I closed Firefox. I had multiple tabs opened, so it asked me if I wanted to save them. I clicked YES and closed Firefox.
I had Google Docs open at the time.
Now, when I open up Firefox, everytime, it tries to load the 2 saved pages, then gives me an error message saying that Windows will try to find the solution to why it can't open.
I cannot use Firefox at all now.
    How can I fix this?
I have re-installed Firefox completely and it does not work, it remembers my settings.

This can be a problem with the file [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
Delete the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak and any existing files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js .

  • After Showing ERROR message make the field editable in subscreen.

    Hello Experts,
I have a requirment where i have added a subscreen to the standard screen of ME31K for creating the contract. In my Subcreen i have my custom screen fields that i'm updating in EKKO table through include structure.
Now if user forget to fill the details in my custom fields in the subscreen then i'm giving the error message prompting the user to fill the value in fields.
But the problem is the screen is locked there itself i want to make the field editable so that user can enter some value in the fields. I can not use the stuatus or information message here because doing this i will get the item overview screen which should not come as i want to restrict the user to header details only and fill all the custom fields.
Please provide me with your helpful responses.
    Thnaks,
    Naveen

    Hi Naveen,
    Sorry for the delay.
The code which I gave for popup, i hope its being shown in an IF . . . ENDIF.
So in that condition u can add the following :
    IF < ur condition >
       < Call message FMs >
SET SCREEN SY-DYNNR.   "this would set screen to current screen which is 0201
        EXIT.
    ENDIF.
Other than this if you like you can set some parameters in the PAI of this screen which redirect to current screen based on some conditions.
So u can manually set OK-CODE and CALFCODE as SPACE, but i dont know how much this can impact the process.
So please follow the above code.
    This is available in
    Main Program     SAPMM06E
    Source code of   MM06EF0F_FCODE_CALL
    IF OK-CODE EQ SPACE AND
       CALFCODE EQ SPACE.
      SET SCREEN SY-DYNNR.
      EXIT.
    ENDIF.
    Hope this helps.

    Ateet

  • Trying to do a photomerge--Getting a "common error message" Documents must be saved prior to merging

    Photoshop CS6
    Photoshop CC 14.2
Trying to do an automation/photomerge on "open files"
    Get this error message
In sniffing around the internet I have discovered this is a fairly common problem???
    Anyone got any solutions??
    Thanks in advance

    Problem Solved:
Here's the approach to eliminate the "documents must be saved before youy can merge files"
    Do not open files first......
    Open Photoshop
    The select File/Atomate/Photomerge
    A dialog box will open
    Select BROWSE
Now select your files to be merged in proper sequential order
Select the method of merge to be used
    Click OK
    All done

  • Iweb 08: adobe flash player error messages and crashing when saving

Hi.   I switched not too long ago from an 08 Imac to a mid 2011 with Mountain Lion.    I brought the applications I could from the other computer, including Iweb 08.
today was the first time I tried to tweak my site with it.  I opened the old file on the new computer using this method:
    http://iwebfaq.org/site/iWeb_Transfer_Site.html
All seemed well at first.  Then I got a slew of error messages to the effect of "Adobe® Flash® Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation. The following local application on your computer or network: blah blah is trying to communicate with this internet-enabled loaction: blah blah blah".
My site is used to display my work in the video production field, so it's related to the various players/videos embedded.
In addition, when I tried to save after opening that first time, and any time, since, it crashes during the save.
Any ideas what's going on here?
Here're two of the pages on my site that were making iweb go nuts:
    http://videoproduction.joshbass.com/Videoproduction-_ENG_Interviews.html
    http://videoproduction.joshbass.com/Videoproduction-_Commercial.html
    Thanks.

Whether or not you use iWeb, you may be aware that things have changed. Since you're a professional, I assume the trade must have talked about it.
I'm not a professional, but I have read about it for the past few years.
Adobe Flash is on it's way out. Especially on Mobile devices, such as my iPad, where your movies do not display.
    Here's how I do it.
It started with this in Flash :
    http://www.wyodor.net/_Movies/rolando/
Then made this with the <embed> code 4 years ago :
    http://www.wyodor.net/Tutorials/ImageWidget/ClickMovie.html
And in a similar style, made for iPad :
    http://www.wyodor.net/mfi/cultureclub/Movies.html
Then HTML5 came along and made a sample with custom code to explain it :
    http://www.wyodor.net/_Demo/html5/HTML5Video.html
And with code from the Interwebs :
    http://www.wyodor.net/_Demo/html5/HTML5_Zencoder.html
    http://www.wyodor.net/_Movies/sublime/
And regarding the Adobe messages? It's not particular to your situation. It's a warning that you try to use Flash outside the protected area of a website.
You can either ignore it, or prevent it by making separate webpages for each flash video and then display them with an iframe in the HTML Snippet. The HTML5 demos above do that.
So the magic word is : Educate.

  • Outbound plug, confusing error message: no navigational link attached

    Hello,
I just finished the WebDynpro Quiz tutorial and deployed the application. Unfortunately when pressing the start button the application dumps and I get a stack trace
       com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException:
Cannot navigate via outbound plug StartQuizOut of view WelcomeView
because there is no navigational link attached to it
        at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.view.View.navigate(View.java:349)
indicating that there was no navigational link attached to my plug StartQuizOut. However the link is definitly there.
As sources are not provided I cannot debug into the class named in the trace.
Could someone please give me a hint. I think I did everything according to the tutorial, but I am stuck now.
    Regards,
    Sebastian Kamp
P.S. I searched this forum for "no navigational link attached"; there are some threads with a similar problem description, but no solution is provided.

    Hi Zita,
thanks for your answer. I kind of solved the problem. When following the Tutorial I ended up for some reason with two versions of/references on (?) the WelcomeView - one was embedded in the QuizViewSet, the other directly in the Quiz-Window - don't ask me how that happend. Anyway, both were identical except the navigation links. The embedded view had all the navigation links required, the other didn't. So eventually in despair I deleted this view.. and now it works fine.
    Regards,
    Sebastian

Some formats that play in iTunes are not compatible with the 1st generation iPod shuffle, Aiff and Apple Lossless for instance. Apple Lossless is not supported on the 2nd generation shuffle: iPod shuffle: Compatible audio formats
I don't use a shuffle but it has a function that other iPods don't have, on-the-fly conversion, the option to "Convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC". You should check this out, this should save you converting your lossless files in iTunes. You can find details on pages 12 and 13 of the manual: iPod shuffle User Guide
Quote: "If this option is selected, songs encoded in AIFF or Apple Lossless format are
converted to 128 kbps when transferred to iPod shuffle (the song files in iTunes aren’t
affected). Otherwise, iPod shuffle doesn’t play songs encoded in those formats"

  • When doing a photomerge I get an error message: files must be saved before merging??

    My files have been saved??

It's a while since I encountered that warning, so either you are using an older version of Photoshop, or I use a different workflow.
What version are you using?  And how are you trying to merge the images?
