Can someone please take a look at this message I'm getting whenever I start to open Safari? So far, I've never gone past it.

You can't install Safari 3 on your 10.3.9 OS.
You must use the DVD installer to re-install the older version of Safari found on it.
You can update your operating system buy purchasing Tiger (10.4) and get a more modern version of Safari.

I researched the advice on the link provided by b noir as well as very similar advice from apple support: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376. It worked for me (for now).
Some things of note:
I did all of the things requested by the link I provided
My computer WOULD NOT uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support. I had to manually remove the folder (also as instructed by the url)
I also uninstalled MobileMe. Was a little different than removing the other apps. Follow instructs provided here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2992
I did not uninstall iCloud
I have to admit it was a bit scary removing all those things. Is important to note that when re-installing Apple, follow steps to do so as Administrator (the right-click thingy and whatnot).

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

Specific Error Message When I Try To Run Safari From Win XP Pro

This is the error message that I get when I try to run Safari from my Win XP Pro computer.

I used to have Visual Studio on this computer but I do not anymore. I don't understand why I'm getting this error message everytime I try and run Safari web browser.

Is the new hdd at least as large a capacity as the original? Can be larger capacity, but sometimes smaller will cause error.

I keep getting the error message "The operation can't be completed because you don't have permission to access some of the items."

When I try and move an application to my application folder from the installer and when I try to empty the trash, I get the error message, "The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items." This has only been an issue since I upgraded to Lion. I'm using a July '07 white Macbook 2.16 Intel Core 2 Duo. In my trash I only have an older version of a software that I updated (Divy). Make sure you have it set to "show hidden files"
Check BOTH places and you have to restart Finder
Press "Quit This" and then go to the Finder Dock icon and right click it
Select "Open"
Open TIme Machine
Go back to September 28 or earlier.
You'll see the mach_kernel file in the Mac HD directory
(I can't show it in the TM because screenshots don't work while it's open but here it is in my MAc HD)
Right click it and select "Restore to"
Then, when it goes back to Finder, choose the Mac HD directory and click OK.
It will place the mach_kernel back where it was and you can install software again
DON'T FORGET to go back and hide your files (and restart Finder) again, or you'll have a mess with the clutter of hidden files everywhere.

Full error message: "The program can't start because QTCF.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." I can't start iTunes because of this error. Any advice on what to do?

I have discovered the reason this occurs. It is because the PATH in the environment settings no longer has the path to C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTSystem which is where the .dll lives on a Windows 7 computer. Close the application giving you this warning if it is still open and use the following 10-step process to fix this:
1. Search for the path to the QTCF.dll and upon finding it, copy it (Highlight it in the explorer address bar and press CTRL + C.)
2. Open the control panel.
3. Choose System and Security from the left.
4. Choose Advanced system settings from the left and a dialog window pops up with the Advanced tab selected.
5. Click the Environmental Variables... button near the bottom of the dialog box.
(This opens a dialog box with 2 sections: User variables and System variables.)
6. Scroll down through the System variables section so that you can select (highlight) the Path variable in the left column.
7. Click the Edit... button which opens a small dialog box and highlights the entire Variable value.
8. Click once in the Variable value (to deselect the value so you don't mess it up) and then press the end key on your keyboard (to move your cursor to the last character of the very very long string in the text box).
9. Paste (keyboard combination CTRL + V) the path to the QTCF.dll you copied earlier, and add a semi-colon, for example:
C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTSystem;
(Note that you don't need a trailing / or the actual .dll name in the path, but be sure to add a semicolon to the end of the path name you paste.)
10. Click OK on each of the 3 open dialog boxes.
There is no need to reboot your computer. You only need to restart the application and ensure that it starts without the warning that the .dll can not be found.

My HP Photosmart 7510 gives the error message: "No computer is connected." when I try to scan.
