Error message (!) on all my podcasts

Hi, as of this evening, I'm not able to download any of my podcasts. Here's the error message I get:
"There was a problem downloading...You do not have enough access privileges for this operation. Please check that the URL is correct and the connection is active and try again."
Connection is active. Tried again. Unsubscribed and resubscribed to several of the podcasts, still getting the error message and lots of little exclamations points. Any ideas?

Laura and others: it's presumably a problem local to you, but as a test could you try subscribing to my podcast, which I know works (you don't have to listen to it!).
In iTunes, from the 'Advanced' menu choose 'Subscribe to Podcast' and enter or paste this URL:
http://homepage.mac.com/rfwilmut/podcastsenh/podcast.xml
If you are able to download an episode then the problem probably lies with the podcasts you are trying to subscribe to: if you can't then the problem is local to you or your network.

Go to mail preferences>accounts>account info tab, make sure the SMTP: is not set to none, from the drop down select your server and click use only this server.

Error message (-50) when updating podcast

When updating the Photoshop TV podcast I get an error message saying that there was a problem downloading it and I should check the URL to make sure that it is right. All other podcast updating is not affected, they update without issue. Is anyone else experiencing this issue and is there a fix?

I have used iTunes for a long time and everything has been great, until now. Everything was working fine last night, but today when I try to open it an hour-glass appears for a few seconds and then disappears. No error message, nothing. It acts like I never double-clicked it. Help please!
My first idea is to go to Apple and download/install iTunes again, but I'm afraid I will lose my library. I know you dont normally lose anything when doing this, but since I'm doing this because there IS a problem I'm worried.

Okay, let's check the Processes tab of the Windows Task Manager in the following manner.
1 - reboot your computer,
2 - open the Task Manager,
3 - go to the Processes tab and then try starting iTunes,
4 - can you now tell us if iTunes.exe appears on the Processes list. If so, does it remain in the list or discontinue after a brief period of time?
In the interests of saving some time, here's the next step if iTunes.exe appears and remains in the Processes list. (If it discontinues after a brief period of time or doesn't appear at all, post back and we can take things from there.)
If iTunes.exe stays in the Processes list, let's try deleting the iTunes configuration file as described in this article in the Apple Knowledge Base.

How to show a single error message for all fields

I have a JSF from containing around 10 controls(input, select etc.) .
Now I need to display an error message in case any of the mandatory control has validation error.
Message format would be like
"*Please,Complete the fields marked with yellow!"* The message I need to show in a div tag with Yelow background.
Currently, I am getting individual default error message in case validation fails and related field is bordered with Yellow.
My code is below.

Thanks for your response.
The FM returns the error messages if they are standard ones. For example, if the posting period is closed - the FM will not allow the Workflow to proceed further.
But in this case, I have a custom error - for a particular Profit center, Cost center and I/O fields are mandatory(not at time of parking, but should be filled before posting).
Since this is not a standard error, this FM will not stop workflow from proceeding further. How can I have the custom error captured in this FM?

Photoshop CC won't open JPG files, Windows 7 64-bit SP1. I get no error message at all. Very annoying.

I get the SAME behavior on my laptop. This happens with Bridge also. My desktop and laptop are both Core i7 3d gen machines. I had to resort to GIMP to get some work done. I tried updating to the latest PS CC but it failed to update with error U44M1P7. Any ideas if the update will fix this and I should keep trying to get it installed?

The error message means a Photoshop File is corrupt you need to re-install Photoshop, You can do that right on top of your current install. That will back level CC to 14.0. When you the use CC ment Help>Updates it should be updated to 14.2.1 and all you add ons a r activation will still be intact. I am getting an error message on all devices when attempting to access mail.

Although I have made no changes to an account I have used for over 5 years now, I suddenly am getting error messages on my iPhone, my wife's iPhone, my iPad, and my laptop when attempting to download mail from my account. The messages are all server or password related. I logged into iCloud.com and while everything else is functioning correctly, attempting to access mail yielded an error message as well (with the option of reporting the error to Apple). Obviously this is a server issue, but I don't see any other postings online, so am uncertain how wide-spread the problem is. I need recommendations regarding the most efficient way of reporting this problem to Apple in order to access my email as soon as possible!!
I have put myself in the express lane for assistance later today, but don't know how helpful that route will be! My devices show that the last time mail could be accessed was yesterday at 8:20 PM.

Same issue here in WI and for me it was at 6:36p CST.
I'm changed my password, removed iCloud from my phone ... tried 3G and WIFI with no luck. I also cannot check it on my Mac or iPad. I was able to get contacts and calenders back on my phone but no mail yet.
Did the whole Apple support thing and apparently I'm part of the 1%
EDIT: Question: are all of you former MobileMe users as well? Just wondering because I know there were going to be some changes as they completely move MobileMe over to iCloud and drop the "extra" services. I just can't remember if it was just a single cut off date or a series of dates. THAT email is stuck in my iCloud folders.

Saved to all the pages through the template. And it began to work again.
Seems to me that a day later I was getting the above error message every time I opened any page that was associated with the template.

I am beginning to think I have done nothing wrong and perhaps it is simply an annoying issue with Dreamweaver. As I have placed the outside code into another website that has a very similar template with no error messages appearing.

Online download Error message for ALL pdf.'s

I continuously receive an error when downloading a pdf from online. The error message states: "There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running, please exit and try again. (4:9)". When I close everything down, it still does not present the document...but when I try this action on any other machine in my office, it works... How can I fix the issue with my machine??

Are these all the same OS, browser, and Acrobat version (including the updates)? It might help to tell use what versions of each you are using. Can you save the file and open it in Acrobat? Do you have both Acrobat and Reader installed?

Device not ejected properly error message on all external storage devices: SD, Ext HD, iPod, IPhone, etc.

All external storage devices (USB HD, iPod, iPhone, SD card reader, etc) are not staying connected. Connection runs for 10-15 sec and the error message "card not ejected properly" appears. Have reformatted cards, performed a OSx install disk permissions and disk repair, re-installed and updated OSx, and PRAM reset. After the OSx reinstall I had no problems for about 2 days then my iPod shuffle sync triggered the error message. I follow good practice in ejecting disks from the Finder window or iTunes.

thought i had it licked after taking to the local service center. they checked out the hardware and felt there was no problem getting power to the USB and SD ports, eg the suspected cause of the eject. they thought it might be a buried permissions problem in some dl'ed software that the repair utility would not find/fix. sooo...i wiped the disk and reinstalled everything from scratch. worked for about a month and now its showing up again. just kicked off my shuffle. the sd reader self ejects after about 10 seconds. dunno where to go from here.

HT4623 when trying to connect to internet i get an internal error message. All other devices but this phone connects fine.

For some reason this i phone will not connect to our wireless internet. All other iphones connect. As well as computers. I keep receiving an internal error 500 message. Any help?

I assume you are referring to an error message in Safari. When you look at the phone, are you seeing the wifi signal fan by your carrier name? If yes and you go into Settings, wifi and tap the blue arrow to the right of the network, are you seeing IP information? Have you ever been connected to this network in the past?

Error message before all values are entered in Step and Repeat box

The Step and Repeat function seems to have a problem that it didn't have before.
(1st field REPEAT COUNT, 2nd field HORIZONTAL OFFSET, 3rd field VERTICAL OFFSET). It is not permitted to duplicate beyond the limits of the document or pasteboard, I understand that. But, if a large value is already entered, let's say 3' in the 3rd field and you enter 12 in the first, you will get an error message BEFORE YOU EVEN HAVE TIME TO COMPLETE ALL THE FIELDS AND THEN SAY OK. The reason I bring this up is that it was not this way before Leopard (or before CS3) and I suspect that it is either the Mac OS or CS3 that is causing problems. I should be able to enter all the values in the 3 fields (whatever was previously entered the last time), say OK then get a message if the values go overboard. Not before I even finish entering them!

ITunes out of disk space error message. All downloads are paused

I found a solution to my dilemma of a disk space error message with iTunes running on and XP Pro machine. In my case I am running a SBS server and have folder redirection enabled to point the My Docs folder to a network share. Come to find out Disk Quota's somehow was enabled this preventing me from downloading any new podcasts or music.
Disk quota's are also a feature of XP (not sure but will assume so with Vista and 7). To check to see if Quota's are enabled, find the drive iTunes music is stored on. Open iTunes and click on Edit>Preferences>Advance. More than likely it will say C:\Documents and Settings... In my case it was an network share in the form of \\Server1\User Data\user.... If you are redirected to a network share than you will need help from your system administrator to fix the problem with Disk Quota's.
Open My Computer and right click on the drive listed in the above process and select properties. There should be a tab called Quota. Check to see if Enable quota management is checked. You can simple uncheck this or give the person more space by editing the Quota Entries which is located on the bottom right.
How this helps.

I've seen that Quota thing on my home setup. Good to know - I'll continue to leave it alone!

An error message precludes all use of all programs. I had to reformat my computer. I need Adobe authorization to re-install. How do I get this?

I am running Creative Suite 5. I have already tried to re-install the program twice after I had my computer reformatted by a service. They said I would have to reinstall some programs. I have been told by others that I need to receive reauthorization from Adobe to reinstall this program. But I can not find out how to get through to someone at Adobe to get this re-authorization. I now receive an error message after the program initializes that does not allow me to make use of any of the suite of applications.The result is that now I can't even read a simple PDF downloaded from the interne because it defaults to this inoperative system. help.

HT1199 iTunes quits on opening and gives me the error message -45054? Does anyone know what this error message is all about?

I use iCloud for my music and recently deleted some duplicates from my desktop iMac (about a year old.) Then tried to launch iTunes from the laptop about a 2008 macbook and get the error message -45054 and it won't open.
Any ideas? Would upgrading to Maverick help or make matters worse?
