Error message on download attempt

I started this issue back on the Motion board (when it was a Motion-specific issue) but this has become an AppStore issue, so:
After purchasing Motion from the AppStore I could not launch the app at all so I trashed it and redownloaded it once and, upon that failure, tried the process again. The second time I was not allowed to download, receiving the error message: "We could not complete your request. There was an error in the AppStore. Please try again later. (100)"
That was a week ago so I certainly tried again "later."
I've tried several things to circumvent this: I quite and restarted AppStore several times; I logged out of AppStore, logged out of my computer's user acount and then went back again only to be greeted by the same error; I even went to the iTunes store to make sure that any credit card info wasn't messed up in case the two stores are somehow linked. Nothing's working.
Thoughts?

An addendum to this: I have a second Lion system on a partition of my hard drive so I switched over to that start up disk and tried AppStore on that. Not only was I then able to download Motion, but it installed and I was able to start it up.
I have no idea...

Check the App to see what Apple ID it is associated with. If it is with another Apple ID, you would need to delete it and download it with your current Apple ID.

Try resetting the SMC and PRAM first, if that doesn't help try a cleaning disc.....and then buy an inexpensive external burner. Slimline super drive failures are all too common.
To reset the SMC
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord.
Wait fifteen seconds.
Attach the computer's power cord.
Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

Automatic update for downloaded apps no longer works either. Anyone have a solution to this?

Go into your settings and touch "apps" on the left. Then touch "Google Play services" and tap "Clear data" and "Clear cache." Then touch "Apps" again on the left. Now do the same for the "Google Play Store" entry. Then hold down the power button until it asks if you want to turn it off. Go ahead and turn off the tablet. Then turn it back on and try again.

Error messages when downloading Itunes 10.5. HELP PLEASE!!!

I keep getting two different error messages when downloading Itunes, first one says: An error occured during the installation of assembly "Microsoft.VC80.CRT,type="win32",version="8.0.507276195".publicKeyToken="1fc8b9 a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT : 0x80070002.
The second said: Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficiant priviledges to start system services.
Does anyone know how I can fix these so I can download the Itune 10.5!!!!

I had this problem for about six weeks. I was following this forum but was too unsure of what might happen to try the fixes that were suggested.
About two weeks ago I decided to delete the downloads.28.sqlitedb file (usingDiskAid(a free program), on a PC running Windows 7). The original downloads.28.sqlitedb was 936 KB. The new one that the system created is 80 Kb., and has stayed at about that size. After about four days I also deleted all the other contents of the Download folder. Ten days later and still no more problems. Downloads are much quicker, nothing greys-out (as was happening frequently before).
Everything has worked well since with no more error messages.
I am using an iPod 4G, iOS 5.1 (originally iOS 5.0). I do not have a manifest file, and as far as I know, have not had one. DiskAid can search the whole "hard drive" on the iPod.
Deleting downloads.28.sqlitedb and the contents of Downloads worked for me.

I had the exact same issue, being on a mac. If you are on a mac and the connection error message occurs, then use this link http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player_osx.dmg
It allows you to download it offline, which is what I used.
