Error message on iPhone apps
My wife's iTunes app on her Toshiba Qosmio keeps giving a series of error messages everytime she opens iTunes. It says something to the effect that the app in iTunes is newer than the one she is attempting to download. This is happening without the phone attached (pre update to iOS 5). It's maddening to endless click cancel on all these apps.
Has anyone else seen this and have a solution?

I have to push up this to the top, because it doesn´t work at all.
Everytime there is an update I must de-install the app to get the
update installed.
This is really annoying !!!
Apple is not able to solve this ?!
We are waiting week to week to get a working applikation called "iTunes", the official
platform to buy our app´s.
And if you do this; you cannot update your apps like you would expect.
I have no words for this.....

My ipod touch (model A1213) is not syncing properly. I have updated the software to the latest (2.2.1) and have even resored it. Itunes says it is working and updated but will not sync and apps. Error message says that app will not sync because a newer version needed.
2.2.1 is not the latest available for any ipod touch.

In Windows 7, iTunes gives error message "An iPhone has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the phonon then try again."

Just downloaded iTunes to new dell laptop, tried syncing my iPhone get an error message: "this iPhone cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started". What is the issue, had this phone over a year??
I had this problem before. I like to disable extra services to speed up my computer and I disabled the Apple Mobile Device service and had to re-enable this.
You can do that by going Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services. Once you have gone to the services window, look for Apple Mobile Device and right-click. Select "Properties". There should be some information about the service as well as the label "Startup Type" with a drop-down menu beside it. If it says "disabled", that is your problem; Change the selection to anything except disabled (Automatic is easier and ensures that you can sync as soon as itunes opens).
If this doesn't work, I would look into your anti-virus' settings. Good Luck! -

Error message:This IPHONE cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started. It is a 3GS version 4.3.5 (8L1). I had upgraded my ITUNES and after two attempts to update to IOS 5 (it timed out each time), I am now getting the message above. everything seems to be working. I have rebooted both computer and IPHONE. I am have had for couple of years. Anyone have other tips or ideas?

Itunes on my PC displays an error message " This iphone cant be synced , you dont have enough privilege" everytime I start syncing thiss message shows up and everything stops. So , what to do now? even wifi sync isnt working and not able to sync files onto my iPhone.

I am trying to use my iPhone with a new laptop. I installed iTunes most recent version and it works fine.
When I plug my iPhone in, I get an error message: "This iPhone cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service has not been started."
I have been using my iPhone (and various iPods and iTouches). I have never had a problem plugging them in and POOF, they show up in iTunes. None of them will show up in iTunes in my new computer.

If you simply check the domain WERT7, you'll see that the checkbox for "Sign" is <b>not</b> checked. Therefore negative numbers are <b>not</b> allowed.
Just because a field is decimal or currency does <b>not</b> mean that negatives are allowed.
Many times, the sign is handled by a separate debit/credit indicator field such as a field with a domain of SHKZG.
