Error Message on Photoshop 8 Installation
I have just purchased Photoshop 12 and successfully (I think) installed the first file. When I try to install the .exe file, I receive an error message indicating that I am missing the Archive Part of Photoshop Elements 12. Where can I get this file? Any help will be sincerely appreciated.

'No Disk' error message on Photoshop startup
Recently I have been receieving the following error message when Photoshop CS6 x64 srtarts up on my Windows 7 machine. Ps resides on my SSD.
I don't always get the message but when I press X, Cancel, Try Again, or Continue the message repeats until finally Ps starts. I'm not sure what drive \Device\Harddisk3\Dr3 is supposed to mean. Does anyone have a clue what Ps is complaining about?I realize this is a mighty old thread, but I've recently had the same issue with Illustrator CSS 2014, and this is the only thread I could google that dealt with it.
I scratched my head for a while on this, but I think I figured out the issue. At least I think I figured it out on my end. The error comes from the "recently opened" menu as far as I can tell. I had an old external hard-drive that I was browsing some old work on. I unplugged it when done and continued to go along with my newer work the next day. When I attempted to save my newer work in Illustrator, I got the "no disk" message several times, but powered through it with "try again" till it saved.
I'm thinking the error is just the system bumping the file that I had recently opened and now cannot locate slowly down and eventually off the "recently opened" menu. Not sure why Windows is smart enough to bypass this error sometimes and not others with most portable drives, but perhaps its an issue with how old this drive was, or perhaps because I did not properly eject the drive. Networked drives being connected and not connected may cause a similar issue. Not sure. -

I have been using Elements 12 without a problem for 9 months. Now when I try to open the program, I get an error message "Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 quit unexpectedly" and it will not open at all. What can I do to open the program?
Thank you for responding. Nothing actually worked! After reading the posts online, I called Apple. They indicated they have seen problems with some software after their upgrades. The technician was able to fix the problem on my computer remotely, but I have no clue what he did! But, it was definitely related to their recent upgrade to my computer.

They're not available because photoshop.com is dead and gone, and any photos there are moved to revel, which you can't access through PSE versions prior to PSE 11. You should have received a bunch of emails about this back when it was happening.

Photoshop.com is no longer available. The service transferred to Revel.
Ignore the sign-in altogether.
You may need to turn off Sync in Organizer prefs if you have it activated. -
Received error message 213:11 upon installation of CS5.1 upgrade from CS2 in Windows 7, unable to change SLStore to read only as administrator as suggested elsewhere. SLSstore reverts to read-only after changing, applying and clicking OK. Same problem after reinstallation.

What happened? Tried to open Elements 8 and error message says "Photoshop has stopped working."
The Welcome screen somes up but then fades and error message says "Photoshop has stopped working." Then Windows closes the program.
I shut down the computer, waited, then did restart, clicked on PSE, and the same message came up again. That was last night, thought I might get a message this morning, but same thing happened again. I'm trying to not panic - this is all new to me.
Any help welcome!If you have not updated to the most current version, you might try that.

I'm trying to install Creatice Suite 5.5 on a new Mac but I get the error message "Inconsistency in the installer database. Please restart your computer and install again."
I have restarted but that doesn't help.Jonkpirateboy did you migrate/transfer/copy your CS5.5 application to this new Mac?
If so then please utilize the uninstallers located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. You will then want to run the CC Cleaner Tool located at Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.
Finally if you need a fresh copy of the installation files they are available for download at Download CS5.5 products. -
I receive a message when trying to open Photoshop CS6, Illustrator CS6, etc., then when I try to follow the directions for troubleshooting, the installer fails to initialize.
Error message: "Adobe Application Manager is needed to resolve this problem. However it is missing or damaged". Then, after download, the program fails to load and displays this message: "Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem". When following the link, Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued 'because their products are now so stable. -I can see how stable they are.. How do I get assistance with Installer issues?

In LR5 i do: Merge to HDR Pro. After I apply my preset and PS attempts to convert HDR file, I get an error message from PS: "Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 has stopped working". Then PS Closes.
My source files are 5 NEF files of 28 MB. I select 16-bit, I also tried 8-bit. No difference. Same error message.

Any suggestions?As the crash report says - your outdated video card driver is crashing. You need to update your video card driver from the GPU maker's website (AMD/ATI in this case).
