Error Message on Web Premium Suite while opening Acrobat that Adobe Acrobat was installed as part of a Suite

Can not open Acrobat Pro 9 out of my adobe creative suite 4 web premium.  Keeps giving an error message. Adobe Acrobat was installed as part of a suite.  To enable Adobe Acrobat start another component of this suite.  I am running Windows 7 64 and already have the CS6 Premium Production Suite loaded on my computer.  I really don't need to load all of the Web Premium since I have upgraded to CS6 programs but still need the Acrobat.  My hard drive crashed and I've had to start all over again.  This is the only glitch and it's becoming very frustrating.
Can't find a link to actually speak to someone at Adobe.

you'll need to install and open some other 32 bit cs4 app.

  • Adobe Design & Web Premium CS6 - Student - no Acrobat Pro installed

I purchased and installed Adobe Design & Web Premium CS6 - Student Version. The box and the Adobe site list Acrobat Pro included. But in reviewing the Creative Cloud, it lists Acrobat Pro as a Trial. I do have Acrobat Standard already installed. Is the Pro version included with this software Suite and if so, how do I install it? Is the Standard version preventing the install?
    Thanks

DaveKStL which version of Windows are you using?  I would recommend removing your installation of Adobe Acrobat Standard using the Programs and Features Control Panel.  Once removed you can then can install Adobe Acrobat Professional which is included with your Creative Cloud Membership.  For additional information please see Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html.
If you continue to face difficulties installing Acrobat Professional please see CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html.

There are bunches of kexts loaded in Tiger; you can see them in System Profiler.  The info from my TiBook shows the following:
That being said, you might want to do an NVRAM reset, since you have made a hardware change.  Boot into open firmware by holding down the cmd-opt-O-F key combination until you get to the white OF terminal screen.  Then type the following two commands:
    reset-nvram <enter>
    reset-all  <enter>
which reboots the machine and forces it to rebuild its device table.
If that doesn't work, you may have a damaged kext cache file, which will require some single user skulduggery.  This one is a little more complicated but may also clear up the problem as well.  You can boot into single-user mode by holding down the cmd-S key combination as you boot until you get to a black Unix terminal screen.  The routine goes like this:
    /sbin/mount   -uw   /   <enter>
    cd   /System/Library   <enter>
    rm    Extensions.kextcache  <enter>
    rm   Extensions.mkext  <enter>
    touch   Extensions   <enter >
    shutdown   -r   now  <enter>
The last command does a graceful shutdown and then reboots the machine.  This will force a rebuild of the extensions cache files which may clear up your problem.

Try holding the Shift key down at bootup to see if it disables that kext or whatever the problem is.
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.

  • Error message: Acrobat 9 was installed as part of a suite. To enable Adobe Acrobat, please start another component of this suite (such as Adobe Photoshop).

My harddrive crashed. New one installed. Restored data from Time Machine. When launching Acrobat 9 Pro, I get the following error message:
"Acrobat was installed as part of a suite. To enable Adobe Acrobat, please start another component of this suite (such as Adobe Photoshop).
I followed the prompt but still not launching. Any suggestions.
    Thanks.

    Hi baxterbabe,
It is not recommended to use Time Machine to restore Adobe installations.
As you can see that this has caused the corruption of the licensing file.
Try launching Photoshop, go to 'Help' and select 'Deactivate' and then click 'Activate' from the same location.
Now launch Acrobat and check if it works properly.
You might also want to run the licensing repair tool from the link: Adobe - Adobe Licensing Repair Tool  and check if that works.
If both these suggestions fail then you might want to uninstall the software completely and reinstall.

  • After starting my computer today and trying to visit and open bookmarked web sites, I cannot open them because I am getting this error message: This web site does not supply identity information. What happened? How do I fix it? Thanks

Today, when I tried to open web sites in Firefox from my Bookmarks, I could not. I continually received the following error message: This web site does not supply identity information.
I noticed that when I put the cursor on the box to the left of the address, that message appears. There is also '''no''' https:// before the address.
Can anyone help correct this problem? I believe sometime last week I may have fiddled with the Secutity settings in the Tools/Security option box and may have screwed up something trying not to have sites use cookies to track me?
    Thanks,
    Bob

While installing itunes i am getting error "this installation package could not be opened.verify that the package exists and that you can access it,or contact the appliacation vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package"

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

My hard drive fried and had to be replaced. I'm trying to install CS4 from my original discs but keep getting this error message - "One or more of the required components of Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Standard failed to install correctly". A customer service rep gave me a link to download off the Adobe site, but when I try to open the file to run it, I get this error message - "A problem occurred extracting the archive".
    Can anyone help?

Yep.  Nothing happens at all. Windows tries to execute the uninstaller, but I don't get any other screen and all activity stops for the MSI.  I monitored it in Process Monitor and the MSI executable appears, but is quickly ended, like it couldn't find anything or something.
It's as if windows has a blank entry in Programs and Features, because it used to show the size of the Adobe application in the "Size" column.  Now it's just blank.  Link to screenshot below:
    http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/5006/screenshotcaf.jpg
Note the install date.  That's when I was able to successfully reinstall it.  Now I can't even do that.  I should also mention I tried Revo Uninstaller.  It deleted one small registry key, but nothing changed.
By the way, is the CS cleaner supposed to ask for a disc in the drive when you run it?  It refused to run unless I had one in it, so I used my install dvd.

  • HT1926 I was loading an update to my i-Tunes for my computer and got an error message and now I can not open my computer itunes and may have lost all the content. What do I do?

I got a request from apple to update my itunes and while uploading the update, the program gave an error message and now I can not open my itunes and fear that all my music etc is gone?  what do I do to correct this problem?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • CS6 Design and Web Premium: can't open DW as it tells me I'm not connected to the internet

I downloaded CS6 Design and Web Premium 30 day trial, but can't open Dream Weaver as it tells me I need to install a java runtime to do this but that I can't because I'm (apparently) not connected to the internet. I am connected however, and when I try the network diagnostics it also confirms that I'm connected to the WiFi.
    Help?

  • Trying to download CS6 design & Web premium suite but keeps getting stuck at 10.28%

I have tried to download CS6 design & Web premium suite over 6 time but it keeps getting stuck at 10.28%.
    Please advise

I am having exactly the same error when downloading Adobe CS6 Design and Web Premuim for PC. The Adobe Download Assistant stops the download at 10.28% complete and will not go any further. I've cleared my cookies, tried different browsers (IE 10 & Chrome), I've uninstalled and reinstalled the download assistant. I tried Jeff's advice from the previous post (although that I think is more to help with troubleshooting after the software is downloaded.) I also tried restarting the download over and always, it stops at the same spot (10.28%) and will go no further.
I am currently running Windows 7 64-bit. Any help would be appreciated.

  • I can't install Flash Builder from the Web Premium suite, what should I do?

I just downloaded the Adobe Creative suite 5.5 Web Premium and am about to install the program but notice a note next to the Adobe Flash Builder program... it explains that my system doesn't have the requirements needed for this program. I checked and it explains further details stating that I need to have a • Mac OS X v10.5.6–10.6 and I doubled check which version I have and it's OS X 10.5.8. Doesn't this actually mean that it does meet the requirements?
Please advise as to what can be done to be able to download this specific program.

We do still need more information such as how much memory you have,
resolution of your monitor, how much disk space you have free, which
processor are you using.  I good guide is to look at the system
requirements and try to post for each of the items within the
requirements.  The system requirements for Web Premium can be found
    at http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/web/tech-
    specs.edu.html.

Also you can find this information within your System Profiler.  The
easiest way to access the system profiler is to go to the Apple Menu
and select About this Mac.  Once selected clicking on the more info
button will launch the System Profiler.
