All of a sudden, I am getting an error message saying that I have exceeded 400 recipients in last 24 hours and my mail will not send. I do not send much mail, so I know that I haven't sent over 400 in last 24 hours. The server rejects my outgoing mail. I am receiving mail fine.

In that case, you’ll have to contact the provider of this mail account to solve the problem. There is nothing anyone here can do about that.

Error message over TCP/IP???

Is it possible to send an error message to any user in a network? The labview application is running on a pc in a network, so I want to use the TCP/IP function to inform a specific member in the network when an error occurs. I have no idea how to realize it. I would be appreciate you can help me.

The System Exec VI (which can be found in the Communications palette) is fairly easy to use (right click it and select Help for some details). You can search google for more details about the "net send" command (which is windows, and not LV).
To learn more about LabVIEW, I suggest you try searching this site and google for LabVIEW tutorials. Here and here are a couple you can start with. You can also contact your local NI office and join one of their courses.
In addition, I suggest you read the LabVIEW style guide and the LabVIEW user manual (Help>>Search the LabVIEW Bookshelf).

HT201320 I have tried for over 2 hours in trying to set up an email accout and followed the directions. I keep getting same error message over and over again. Invalid use rid or password

Since the title of your post says " ... invalid use rid or password ...", I suspect the issue is some illegal mix of blanks and/or special characters (e.g., punctuation) in either your user ID, password, or both.
Be very careful you are following the rules for what constitutes a legal user name and a legal password.

We wiped our PC. Can't activate reinstalled CS3. No error message. Says "wait a moment" or hours.

We wiped our desktop PC and then reinstalled the programs we still wanted plus Windows 8. We can't seem to activate our CS3 though. I have the number and put it in, but then it goes to a screen that says "wait one moment" and it never progresses. It sits there processing for hours! It's only ever been installed on this same PC before and I don't recall having to reinstall it before. There are no error messages. Any tips appreciated.

Trouble Downloading Updater receive error message OVER and over again

Hello! I have that little folder picture on my ipod and when I went to the support site, it said that I needed to download the updater. I signed in and clicked download. The next thing that happens is that I get this message:
Our apologies but there was an error with your session (perhaps you were away from your computer for a while). Click here to return to the download page. It happens over and over again and won't let me download the updater. I have a Compaq Presario V2000 laptop with Windows Xp. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I hope this is the right forum to ask this

Is your iPod connected while you're trying to download this file? If so, I'd try a different approach. Turn off your computer to get rid of all temporary files. Then, when you reboot, download the updater file to your desktop. (When the file starts to download, tell it to Save to your Desktop--it shouldn't "Run"--it should "Save" and then you can click on the down arrow and choose desktop.) After the download completes, then hook up your iPod and try to update it again. Is it successful now?
If you can update your iPod, save the update file to your computer, incase you have to go back to this version at some future point. Right click on the desktop icon and send the file to your preferred storage disk.

Delete messages over 400 days

I have Thunderbird set to delete all messages older than 400 days. Thunderbird deletes them, but does not send the delete stubs to Google. Next sync, they are re-downloaded from Google. The cycle goes on and on until I manually delete them from Google.

I'm assuming you have an IMAP mail account.

IMap deleting is different from Pop mail account deleting.

Trouble backing up Library to CD-R Disc...Error Message 4261

Hi,
I'm new to all of this and I'm luving my Ipod; but I'm having trouble backing up my library to disc. Everytime I try to attempt to back it up, The disc will cancel and tell me that I have an error message of 4261. At times a few files will write but it continues the same error message over and over. Looking at my diagnostic, what can you suggest. I appreciate any help anyone can offer.

I got an Error 4261 message on my computer some months ago while attempting to backup my iTunes music ---about Dec. 2006. Hopefully, the problem is now solved. This was a difficult and time consuming issue to resolve. I shall provide some details of this resolution (worked for me) as I know some others are having the same problem. I hope to post this message to others with 4261 errors.
I have a Dimension E510 computer bought in 2006. I am using Windows XP. My CD ROM burner is as follows: HL-DT-ST DVD +-RW GWA4164B. I wonder if you have the same type CD ROM.
At first, several thoughts came to mind. Google? Never listen to music again. Invest in a sledge hammer? I decided to try and fix the problem and would work on this for the next eight months. Recently, I decided that this problem had to go away. I tried various things to correct the problem often with technical assistance as the following indicate:
Changed copy speed//Did a restore on my computer (no help)// reversed restore
Updated iTunes files//Did virus scans
Contacted a company techie—Discovered my warranty was still good. Cdrom driver was updated. We got the iTunes program to copy a disk. Problem solved?? Time passes.
The problem reoccurs. I contacted a techie again. He was able to get another program to copy on the cdrom I was using to copy iTunes music. I was told that I should contact an iTunes rep. $$. Says cdrom hardware is OK. (One can save files (ex. photos) to a new file created on the desk top and copy them to a cdrom---a test method used.)
I read suggestions about updating my BIOS and chipset on the iTunes message board. Not being a techie I wasn’t so sure about this. (Also Techies did not go in this direction.) Time passes.
I didn’t buy music.
I read messages saying that I should backup my iTunes music.
Called techie again. Updated cdrom driver. We were able to copy data using the same cdrom used for the iTunes copy. (Again this was not a fix. It was indicative of an intermittent/partial cdrom failure which occurred over time, and one manifesting itself in iTunes.) I asked him to try to copy another. Amazingly, this copy failed. Something was wrong. Now we’re getting somewhere. Techie eliminated some startup files to try to determine source of a software error, if one. This did not fix the problem.
Techie deleted a couple registry files. I don’t like deleting registry files because they serve a valuable purpose, but I’m not a techie. Later I was told that this is a routine test procedure. (After the fix I would have to do an update of my iTunes program. iTunes has a repair feature which was on my desktop—a holdover from a previous attempt to fix things with an iTunes update. I ran this repair without harming my music files, and this repaired the program.)
Techie said I may have a problem with my current brands of CD-R disks. I bought and tried other brands---four all total. This did not work.
I happened to attempt to copy some pictures as I was interested in having some developed. To my surprise, my computer stopped the copy citing an error with the copy process. The problem now manifested itself with another software program. Heretofore, I could successfully copy pictures using the same cdrom but not iTunes music.
I called the techie again. I told him what I had done and new error in copying other files to the cdrom. We attempted to use other programs to copy music and picture files on the cdrom. (My thinking is, if they had worked, then the cdrom was OK, and the problem was a software problem and likely involving iTunes---software and not hardware Obviously I wanted a cdrom replacement as this would be easier for me than pursuing imbedded software program issues.) We could not get any software programs to copy files to the cdrom in question. This was a clear indication that the cdrom was defective. We likely used up ten CD-R disks in these latest attempts.
Looking back, there was a subtle indication of a problem with the cdrom. There was a problem with one of the songs I had copied to a new disk (No. 24 of 24 songs on a disk). The song was copied with errors. This shouldn’t have happened.
The company replaced cdrom free of charge the next morning in about 5 minutes. Wow!
I tried the new cdrom and began burning iTunes music right away. No 4261 error message. I also copied pictures to the same cdrom without any error messages. I also successfully used other brands of CD-R disks.
I had problems with iTunes and a photo program after cdrom installation but fixed them with updates. I also experienced problems with Windows Media Player and Roxio/Sonic. They didn’t want to recognize the new cdrom in drive (E:). Restore made things worst so I undid this. I spoke to a tech again about these issues as I wasn’t certain of the scope/nature of problem. Issue of ownership of problem came up again. Software vs hardware. We updated both programs with updates from company support pages. This fixed the problem. Point learned here was the need to keep files updated with the latest and greatest. I am skeptical of too many changes because of risk of problems. Now, it seems, I have no choice but to do this---critical changes at least. Many thanks to Techie.
The thought in my mind now is whether performing updates and specifically on Windows Media Player would have fixed the error to begin with. Well, I did run an update on my iTunes prior to, and there are no updates for my photo program. Looking back I would try the updates/repair first (the easy stuff) before I replaced the cdrom. I spent about 9 hours on phone with techies(caution not to delete music). Without warranty, I couldn’t have afforded this. Luckily for me it was a hardware issue.
Replacing the cdrom on my computer fixed the 4261 error on my computer. I hope something here will be of help to some of you who have the same problem.

I keep getting this error message over and over when all I have plugged in is an Apple USB keyboard and Apple Mouse. Please help...this is crippling the computer!

Sometimes you have to reset the SMC two or three times for it to work, don't know why. I've seen that error message before and 100% of the time it was fixed with an SMC reset. I suppose it's possible that your keyboard or mouse IS drawing too much power, do you have access to another you could try?

I'm working on a BADI LE_SHP_DELIVERY_PROC inside the method FILL_DELIVERY_ITEM. I have to show an error message over here. If i passed like MESSAGE e000(zless) WITH text-006 text-007 it is displaying message but it is come out from the layout of the transaction in scope.
Te be more specific, when the pop up of message comes out and after that the user click on the "Exit" button, the system should go back on the previous layout of the report to allow the user making another selection.
I'm using Vl10D transaction.
Now I'm trying to generate the error message through log by CT_LOG internal table . I have to block the deliveries whichever is creating through this transaction. If for a particular STO there are different loading points then I need to block the deliveries.
I'm trying to block the current delivery using IS_LIKP-LIFSK = 'X' and also I need to block the previous delivery IT_XLIKP-LIFSK = 'X'.
strange thing is happening with STO which has 2 deliveries are getting created (because error msg is not getting tirggered thorugh log), though I have blocked the deliveries.
Could you please let me know how can i populate this error message through log as well as I can block the deliveries?

To lock the delivery, see Note 198137 - VL10: Customer-specific enhancements / user exits and use this userexits. To populate the log I think that using the structure CT_LOG in the BADI is OK. Check when are called the userexit and BADI.

Error message when trying to copy a DVD with Roxio Toast v6.1.1

I'm trying to duplicate a DVD I made via Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro by using Toast Titanium ver. 6.1.1.
About 3/4 of the way through the record process, I keep getting the following error message:
"Couldn't complete the last command because there was an I/O error.
Result code = -36"
Since I made this DVD myself, I don't believe there is any copy protection or region codes embedded.
The DVD has 2.72 GB of material on it.

Here are some things to try: Select the DVD in the Toast Copy window and choose Save as Disc Image from the File menu. When that is complete eject the DVD and insert your blank disc, choose the saved disc image with the Image File setting in the Copy window and burn your DVD.
Alternatively, drag the VIDEO_TS folder from the source DVD to your hard drive. Choose DVD-Rom (UDF) as the format in the Toast Data window. Click New Disc. Add your VIDEO_TS folder. Click New Folder and name it AUDIO_TS. Now burn your DVD.

Error Messages in DVD Studio

So I'm trying to create a DVD but I got an error message saying there was a problem with two of my video files.
The two video files in question are quite larges sizes, they are Quicktime movie files and are sizes of 73gig and 134gig. Is this too big to work in DVD Studio? I have created files that have no compressions whatsoever, hence creating large files sizes. If I use compressions 'DV Pal" it creates slightly low quality movie files, and I want the best possible quality.
Any recommendations? Should I just export the movie files again and see if DVD Studio accepts them this time?

The files were simple Quicktime movie files, but I have since created 'Motion JPG A' files and still get error messages, despite the file now being a size of 21gig.
The error message that I am getting (after 9 hours of processing, to build and create the DVD) is "Formatting Failed. Building was not successful", and then when I look in the "Log" it says "Error while encoding file..." and names the desired file that has the error.
Then when I click on the track in the "Graphical" window, a window pops up that says "Missing assets - this track uses one or more missing assets and cannot be displayed".
When I try to "relink" the file, a window comes up and says "Relinking failed. The file you selected does not match the attributes of the missing file".
Do you know why this is? The file I am using is a 'Motion JPG A' file and the size is 21.55g. I have create this file twice, but still get the same error message (about missing asset). I had originally started with a file that was 134gig (Quicktime file, no compression) but this file also had an error message that came up (in DVD Studio).
Much appreciated.. I am a little reluctant to create an m2v file as I've used these in the past and the quality was not good, but if that is my last option I will do it! Cheers.

I cannot receive files from my Buddies, I always get an error message

They can receive files I choose to share with them but when they try and share files with me and I click to download the file, it tries to download it but then an error message appears underneath the file name I am trying to download that reads "Unexpected Error ( ______ may not have responded in time)."
I get the same error message over and over and can never get the shared file(s). Is there an way to fix this?

IS this an Screen Name that you use that Log in to the AIM Servers ? (AIM or Apple email type ID)
If so in iChat > Preferences > Accounts > Server Settings have you set the Login Port to 443 ?
The reason I ask is that is below the threshold of port 1024
The File Sending/Receiving remains on Port 5190 using the UDP Protocol.
The Mac Firewall will allow all things iChat no matter what you change the Login Port to.
However for ports above 1024 you have to open them in your Router ?
