Error message says "This page requires a plugin that can only run in 32-bit mode"

When I try to write an email from my BT site I get the following message
"This page requires a plugin that can only run in 32-bit mode"
Then there's a link to restart the page in 32-bit mode. However, it resets to whole page, drags things back out the trash.
I have only had this problem since updating to the latest Firefox

I am assuming the plugin that the Firefox message is referring to is for attaching a file to the email. I say this because at the bottom of a new email it has a link that says "Attach files more easily" which, when you click it, takes you to a setup process where you download an att updater. I ran that and it did seem to change anything. I am wondering if there is anything I can do to make Firefox handle this page without having to restart in 32-bit mode every time.

On some pages I get an error in yellow at the top "This page requires a plugin that can only run in 32-bit mode" with an option to restart; how do I find which plugin this applies to and/or disable this message for the given plugin?

I don't want to restart in 32-bit mode unless absolutely required, and even if I need to I want to track down and replace the involved plugin with a 64-bit version if I can. There should be a 'more information' or similar button instead of just 'Restart in 32-bit mode' being the only prominent option.

Look to see if you have an app called Browser Plus from Yahoo. I uninstalled it because it said it isn't compatible with Firefox 4 & up. Thus far that error hasn't returned.

Thanks for your reply, but you might have misunderstood it a bit. I'm NOT trying to buy a movie. ****, I'm not even in the actual Apple Store, when this happens I'm in the library not the Store part of iTunes.
To clarify - I have purchased a physical copy of a movie which came with another physical copy which contains the digital copy. The digital copy is on the DVD, all I need is just to transfer this file to my iPod Touch, for example, I'm not trying to download it from the store or repurchase it and it's not any gift code that I've received, the digital copy is on the disc. This is the first time ever that I've purchased something on a disc and I'm not allowed to access it because the disc hasn't been purchased within my country.
So again - I'm not attempting any purchase or download any purchased digital copy - it's on a DVD I own physically so... why is even the region of my Store relevant, the code I enter is (as I assume) just supposed to check if it's a legal genuine copy (which it is, as I've said - there are 6 discs in the pack: 3 movies on 3 Blu-rays and 3 DVD containing these digital copies of them). If I own it, I think that's proof enough that I have the right to use it. I just don't get it. I do not use lightroom and I have a subscription so I can open all supported RAW formats. You will need DNG file for Your Camera's NEF files for use in Photoshop ACR version. You can open your NEF files in LR it seems so you could do all your raw conversion with Lightroom and save out Tiff files for processing in Photoshop. I do use lightroom for I do not need its library. Lightroom does not support layered files so lightroom is of no value to me. ACR UI is all I need having a second interface to Adobe Raw Conversion Engine would more annoyance than value to me.

You will need to Upgrade to Snow Leopard to get a Compatible version of iTunes to Sync your Device.

I got that message yesterday. I'm new at this so don't know if this is the correct solution but it worked for me. I reset my iPod by holding the 2 buttons down until the apple appears AND I restarted my computer. After that everything worked.

First you write "WHEN I TRY TO OPEN A FILE..." - what kind of file? From where - from your local disk, or a website?
Then you write "How do I open and read my message?" - what kind of message?
Also tell us your operating system, browser, email client, Reader version, ... anything that is related to your problem.

Hi, you may have resolved this issue already, but if not...
There should be one copy of MediaAccessibility.dll in the folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support (32-bit systems) or
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support (64-bit systems)
If you can locate the file, right-click on it and select Properties, then on theDetails tab it should have File Version - 48.1.0.11. If it has a different version number then it is out of date and is likely to be cause of the problem.
Please search your Programs Files and/or Programs Files (x86) folders for all copies of the file MediaAccessibility.dll - Any other copies of the file in different locations are likely to be out of date, but might be called in error by an executable file in the same folder, thereby causing the error.
Should you find more than one copy of MediaAccessibility.dll could you please let me know in which other locations it was found. This will let us more effectively help others with the same issue by suggesting where they should look. If you have the correct version, in the correct place, then deleting any others should fix your problem. This is similar to the QTMovieWin.dll issue dealt with in the first box of the user tip Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
If you don't have the correct version of the file then completely removing all components, deleting the named folders, and reinstalling as suggested in the second box of the user tip should work. You could try repairing Apple Application Support alone from the the Programs and Features or Add/Remove Programs control panel first as that would be quicker, but only if it works.
