Error message seen when starting a managed server (dsp_config.ear)

Hi ,
I am having issues when i start the managed server under the admin server.
Seems like when i undeploy dsp_config.ear the managed server seems to start without any issues.
But since the dsp_config.ear is removed the dspconsole is messed up.
The admin server runs fine without any issues with or without dsp_config.ear deployment.

Can anybody help me on this one?
it seems more of ODSI issue than weblogic server issue.

it sounds like you are deploying dsp_config.ear to a domain/server that is not ODSI-enabled.
com.bea.wli.config.deployment.server.ServerVersion is in <modules>/com.bea.common.configfwk.wlinterop_10.3.0.0.jar which is referenced by <modules>/features/odsi.server.modules_10.3.0.0.xml and used by com.bea.dsp.management.impl.DomainServiceImpl

  • OSB: problem when starting a managed server in an OSB cluster

    Hi,
I used the configuration wizard to setup a very simple domain, containing a cluster with a managed server. When I start the managed server from the console I get prompted for the boot user and password. I specify the values I defined during the installation (weblogic user and custom passwort). After some time the managed server exists with the following exception:
    ####<21.04.2010 19.25 Uhr CEST> <Critical> <WebLogicServer> <DEMUC10525> <ManagedServer1> <main> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <1271870735741> <BEA-000386> <Server subsystem failed. Reason: weblogic.security.SecurityInitializationException: Authentication for user weblogic denied

What is its problem and how do I fix it? I have not configured anything special in the domain - just the cluster, a single machine and the managed server and admin server targeted at this machine.
The admin server starts without these problems. I also tried copying the boot.properties from the admin server to the managed server without any success - the same problem.

    Hi Anuj,
it turned out to be an OSB related problem - WLS forum would not have been able to help.
The startManagedWebLogic script should be run only within an environment which has been correctly setup using the domain setDomainEnv script. This seems to add some classpaths and stuff like this which, if missing, produces the exception - it actually has absolutely nothing to do with the user and password being wrong.
If you are using a node manager to start the managed servers then it should also be run within an evironment correctly setup with the domain's setDomainEnv script.
    Best regards
    Dimo

  • How do i resolve an error message 5 when starting LR5 from CC?

I've just signed up for CC Photography. I can't launch LR5 because it tells me there is an Error msg 5 and I should reinstall. I have done that, and used CC clean and deleted a file from the library (as per instructions online, can't remember the file name). Anyone have any ideas? PS CC seems to work though.....

    Hi Trinidad,
    Thanks for your help!!!
    1.
I didn't install EventSender and DIProxy yet, I tried first to upload and deploy the zip files, but I couldn't open the Itegration Application Explorer.
    2.
The jvm.dll file is in in the folder pointed by the logs: C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One Integration\jdk1.5.0_xx_sap\jre\bin\server
and it is also in C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One Integration\jdk1.5.0_xx_sap_64\jre\bin\server
I tried running the file  java5w.exe, but I got an error message:
    Access is denied
Unable to open the service tomcat5
Thne I managed to open it by "rua as administrator".
the Java Virtual Machine path is points to the java 1.5 version folder.
Is it possible that the reason that the service can't start is related to administrator rigts??
In the properties in the Integration Service (services.msc):
It is set to be run with the local system account.
    all other properties looks fine.
in the properties of the tomcat5.exe (and tomcat5w.exe  , I tried both)
In the Compatibility tab I tried setting the flag "Run this program in compatibility mode for" to Vista, windows 7, and server 2008
I didn't have the option of Windows XP.
I have also set the Privilege level of: "Run this program as administrator" to true.
But still the service won't start.
    What can be the problem?
    What else can I check?
    Thanks a lot,

Check using netstat to see if that port is already in use.
Shared libraries don't need to be on the classpath, they are deployed similar to applications, so I'm confused by your comment about putting them on the classpath. I assume you're using Node Manager to start the server from the AdminConsole, if you want to use a difference classpath either use the StartupScriptEnabled=true in nodemanager.properties OR put the extra classpath entries on the Server Start tab in the console.

  • Http 401 error starting a managed server

    Hi,
I'm new to wl and am setting up a managed server on wl6.0.
I read and followed the instructions in the admin guide - really!
I have an admin server running under the petstore domain,
on port 7001 and am trying to run a managed server under
    "devdomain".
Below is the java command my startup script is using
to start the managed server. It is failing with a security
error (http 401). I don't see anything in the dox about an
additional userid/password control at the http level.
When I browse directly to http://webdev:7001/Bootstrap,
I get http password pop-up. The system userid and password
    does not work.
What dox can I go to for help on this?
    Thx

The iphone software update server could not be contacted" - error message recieved when i try to update to 5.1.1 via itunes , what can i do ?

    Dear Lawrence Finch:
If you're still around I hope you see this message, as you're the FIRST person (after reading every link, thread, other sites, apple support articles, etc.) to mention JB may be causing this iTunes popup window to REPEATEDLY occur:
"The iPhone software update server could not be contacted."
No, I did not hack anything (are you kidding?  Grannies don't hack!), but I unknowingly bought a 3Gs iOS 3.1 from ebay that was not advertised as JB.  Since it is like brand new, I was going to keep it (because my old backup is iOS 3.1.2) & was trying to simply restore & update, which (I thought) would remove the JB (that's what everybody says at forums, etc).
Instead, after "erasing all settings/content" (inside phone's Settings to get the prior person's name out of there), it is now stuck in White Apple Mode.
Put it in DFU/Recovery Mode & connect to iTunes but that stupid above message keeps appearing & I have already read/tried EVERYTHING to get rid of that message, starting with:
    1.  OLD phones (3Gs) with OLD iOS 3.1+ should work FINE with OLD Mac (iBook) with OLD OSX (Tiger 10.4.11) with OLD iTunes (9.2.1[5]).  So that can't be the problem.
Here's all the other things apple & others say to check which I already checked:
    2.  USB ports are FINE, both work FINE, so that's not the problem.
    3.  No "extra USB devices" are connected, ONLY a mouse, & then the phone (yes, I tried it w/o the mouse connected but that didn't help).
    4.  No "usb hubs."
    5.  Latest iTunes for this OSX has already been DL'd (iTunes 9.2.1[5]).  If you know of a newer one for this OSX, please advise.
    6.  No antivirus software.
    7.  No security software.
    8.  No routers; only 1 comcast modem, period.  Wired Ethernet.
    9.  No wifi gadgets, no wifi at all.
    10.  No firewalls, except what is on iBook in the SHARING/System-Prefs. section.  It's turned OFF.
    11.  Did the hosts/terminal thing sudo nano whatever it was.  There were only 3 lines, NO gs.apple.com:
    xxxxx local host
    xxxxx broadcast host
    xxxx local host
Oh, & btw, ATT officially unlocked this phone (after I filled out their online forms) but I can't finish the process via iTunes to get their Confirmation that "Device is Now Unlocked," so I can use T-Mo.
So that's it.  If you have any other ideas of what to do from here, since from your comment, maybe it's the stupid JB on this phone that is causing the problem (???), please advise.
    Many thanks!

As Shadab said there is no boot.properties file created in Managed Server MS1.
I manually created boot.properties with the below text.

    username=weblogic
    password=weblogic1
Now i received the error log as

How are you starting the managed server? Is it a new install? The error suggests that the managed server is already running. You could check the windows task manager to see if there is a Java process running (or two if managed and admin server is on the same machine)
