Error message: suite color management requires a qualifying product has been launched
i'm trying to change the creative suite color settings but when i do it comes up with an error mesage:
suite color managementrequires a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature.
please help. :-)
Hi there
It sounds like you might be using Adobe Bridge, correct? If so, you can try reading through this help article that matches the error message you're receiving: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-suite-color-management-enabled.html
If you are indeed using Bridge and need additional help, please post again so that I redirect you to the correct forum.
EDIT: Most likely, you've installed Adobe Bridge with an individual product such as Photoshop or Illustrator, and not as a Creative Suite - see below.

Has anyone figured out how to fix this? Tried fixes & I still can not open RAW files from Bridge or Photoshop CS5. I upgraded the Camera RAW plug-in and downloaded all fixes for Photoshop CS5 ( done automatically through Adobe updater) so program is up to date. I can open RAW files from mini bridge if I right click the photo BUT if I take the photo back to Bridge I can not open it there. ( I could do this before the upgrades so this is not different ). I have windows 7 professional 32 bit. I tried DNG files & .cr2 files.
In Photoshop CS4 I had the same problem ( almost the same error message...bridge requires a qualify product to be launched at least once... Camera RAW) and it was never fixed but I didn't understand the advantages of working in camera RAW. So it may be the same glich if I had it in CS4 & CS5. Thanks in advance for your help.i ran into the same issue just this last week....and i finally found (at least in my case) the SOLUTION...i'd D/Led the trial version of adobe illustrator...something in that download, or the preference choices that followed afterward, KICKED my "Parent Application," which had always been photoshop CS4, to the curb! realizing, as i've had to in the past, that i should "look back to what you'd done just prior to the change (with its resulting ERROR message) and UNDO it." ergo: i dumped the trial version of illustrator, and VOILA! i can now, once again, open jpgs by opting for "open in camera raw" directly from the BRIDGE again...hope this helps! too bad newly added ADOBE programs don't ask you to actually ESTABLISH which of their programs you would LIKE to designate as the PARENT APPLICATION when you're loading said new software!

When I highlight photo's in bridge and then click open in camera raw this message comes up... Camera Raw Editing Is not enabled...Camera raw editing requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature. I have used camera raw a different way but it won't seem to work with bridge.
Have you opened Photoshop or any other Adobe app that Bridge works with? You need to do this if you've upgraded PS or just signed up for CC.

I get this error message when I try to use Camera Raw in Bridge - all my other adobe products work fine. "Camera Raw editing requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature" I have a 2013 Macbook Pro - I have also updated all the know adobe updates online.
Just a clarification in general:

How do I get round this error message "Bridges parent application is not active_ Bridge requires that a qualifying product has been launched at leat once to enable this feature". I have launched from within both Indesign and Photoshop Trials.
Next step reset preferences in Bridge. Hold down the Ctrl key and start Bridge. You should get a reset window with 3 options.

I upgraded my computer yesterday to a Mac Mini 2014 from a Mac Mini 2011. Restored the drive from Time Machine. The message I received when trying to use Photoshop was I had to many computer enabled. The option was to disable the other two and use this one, which I did. I tried to open a JPG in ACR and got the message "Camera Raw Not Enabled" Camera Raw editing requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature". If I open a Canon RAW file Adobe Camera Raw opens normally. Stumped.
JackThe problem cleared itself. Don't have a clue why.

Thank youDetails, please. Platform, exact version of Photoshop and of your OS, what trouble shooting steps you've taken so far, etc,
First thing to try, if it had worked before, is to Purge the Cache in Bridge.

Camera Raw editing is not enabled. Camera Raw editing requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature. This appears when the open in camera raw disc is clicked in bridge. any solutions??
Hi,
Open Adobe Photoshop first. Open a Camera Raw file in Photoshop.
Then open Bridge from within Photoshop from File> Browse in Bridge.
Then try to open Raw files in Bridge. That should work.
We need to launch the parent product of Bridge first ( in this case Photoshop). Then we need to open the images in Bridge and it should work normally.
Thank you,

CS4 won't start up on my new computer. The error message I get is "Licensing for this product has stopped working." Both the old and new computer are MACs and the error code I get is 150:30. It says to restart the computer or open another application in the suite, but neither helps. It says if nothing helps to contact Adobe support, but this is the only way I'm given to contact adobe support. Can I really not use my purchased software on my new computer? What do I do to activate the license on the new computer?

Bridge will not now let me use camera raw, though I have been using it every day. It ways that "the parent application is not active. Bridge requires that a qualifiying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature." What am I to do?
Usually this points to having some kind of earlier trial version still installed on your system. However without more details you are not likely to find an answer. Try this for a start:
