Error message - The product is unable to calibrate
I have a problem with all-in-one HP MFP M 425dw.
It has a problem with scanning and photocopying. Printing is OK.
First time after turning up device and installing it I done a first test copy (before connecting to computer in any way) and I got a copy with straight lines across the page.I also got message: "The product is unable to calibrate.
Close the lid and remove paper from the document feeder or flatbad"
With scanning was the same problem, after scanning it puts out a page with straight lines in colour -colour scanning was turned on.I uploaded a photo of scanned page and it is the same with photocopying (only in black since it is black-and-white printer. Straight scan lines
On some forum I found out some manual considering calibration - I uploaded instructions in jpg.Calibration page1 Calibration page2
After doing calibration by that manual I got the same mesage again:'The product is unable to calibrate.
Close the lid and remove paper from the document feeder or flatbad.'
However after waiting for some time this did solve my problem, it started to copy and scan properly. The problem is that every time th device is restarted it has a poroble with scanning and photocopying, so I have to do calibration process again.
Because every time device gets turned off on power button or there is power outage, calibration problem appears again.
Now I am not sure is there a problem with just this device like a factory error or not.
Because I have two others HP M425 and they never did have this problem. Actually on one other device after restarting it, sometimes there's a same error message
" The product is unable to calibrate...."
But he copies and scans ok.
I am able to get to the Ashford University login display with no difficulties with both Firefox and Safari. Obviously without a student password I cannot go any further. If you can do the same, then clearly the problem is at the other end. If that is the same case with you, then there is no advice that I can give you but to stir the pot as best you can.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -
Mavericks Update - Error message - The product distribution file could not be verified
Help!
Trying to download mavericks (from 10.7.5) as I have just had a new hard disk isntalled and need to start from scratch.
Wanting to re download iphoto but I can't as I need a newer OS so trying to download mavericks from the app store. My internet is very slow and keeps cutting out so I have tried a few times but it's not working.
Now I'm getting an error message - 'the product distribution fil could not be verified'
If anyone can help that would be great.
Or even let me know where I can get a copy of iphoto to suit OS 10.7.5 so I don't need to download a whole new OS.You're trying to download a 5 GB file. If your Internet connection is lousy, you won't have much success. Try another network.

Adobe Reader error message, "The application was unable to start correctly(0xc000007b)"
Upon start up of my PC, an error message occurs that states, 'The application was was unable to start correctly(0xc000007b)" Reader isn't functioning properly and any programs that require it cannot be used(i.e. itunes, etc) My computer operating system is windows 7, 64 bit. The reader came with the computer. I am an unskilled pc user but can follow written instructions to troubleshoot. thanks in advance for any help you may give!
I hope its okay that I am resending my earlier question. I have attempted all of the suggestions to fix the problem with Adobe Reader but so far nothing has worked. Is there anything else I can try? Thank you for your help!

My Reader version was an older one , so I downloaded the latest on the website. I shut down and restarted the computer but the error notice is still present.
Also, when I attempted to open Reader in protected mode, the following error message appeared ," Fatal Error Acrobat failed to load it's core DLL.
I downloaded the anti malware program at adobe help and ran the scan, restarted the computer and the error message still pops up. Are there any other actions you might suggest? -

how can i stop an error message that comes up when i am using word? the error message is "word is unable to save the Autorecover file in the location specified. Make sure that you have specified a valid location for Autoreover files in Preferences,…"
It sounds like if you open Preferences in Word there will be a place where you can specify where to store autorecover files. Right now it sounds like it's pointing to somewhere that doesn't exist.

spinwheel when syncing, unable to sync photos, error message "the disk cannot be read from or written to" ... please help!
Everytime I try to sync my photos to iPad or my iPhone. The sync freezes for a whilie then comes back with "the disk cannot be read from or written to". I have already exported photo library from iPhoto and readded the photos.

Every time I download a new app or update an old one it doesn't work. It gives an error message saying it is unable to download the application. I have 2 choices. Retry or done. Retry doesn't work so I press done. What can I do to fix this? Someone please help!
Try using Google's DNS instead of the one your IPS is providing.
- To change on the iPod go to Settings>wifi and change the DNS to 8.8.8.8
- For the computer see:
Public DNS — Google Developers
- Did anything happen to your router right before this started? Maybe the router is blocking the port used. -
Every time I try to install Itunes I get an error message saying it is unable to start services and to verify that I have sufficient privileges. I am the administrator. I have tried everything I can think of. When I click the ingore option it doesn't install corectly and I get a message saying MSVCR80.dll file is missing.

received error message - the procedure entry point_objc_init_image could not be located in the dynamic link library objc.dll. unable to launch iCloud. Any suggections?
I had roughly the same error. I fixed it by running the iCloud control panel update from apple software update. The problem cropped up after I ran the most recent iTunes update, I've personally been having issues with iTunes updates being finicky since upgrading to Windows 8.1, I've had to download installers rather than running the update directly through Software Update, so it's possible Apple is not fully addressing compatibility issues for newer versions of Windows. Ultimately it seems to be a missing file issue, so any update, installer, or install verification/repair that directly addresses the iCloud files should see and replace the missing file.
Also it looks like Apple is either unaware of this problem or not addressing it at all, there are about a dozen support requests from within the last month all asking this same question regarding iCloud, just with different specific files unable to be found. None of them have answers.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
