Error message - "This computer is no longer authorized for apps installed on iphone"

I started getting this message a couple of weeks ago.  I get it everytime i start itunes and try to sync with my iphone.  The computer is authorized.  After I resubmit my password, itunes tells me that the computer is already authorized and to continue.  The frustration is that if I am not connected to the internet, itunes will erase apps/podcasts from my iphone.  :-(   Any ideas?
Thanks.

  • HT1386 Hello, When trying to sync, I get the following message.  This computer is no longer authorized for apps that are installed on the iPhone "Terri George's iPhone". Would you like to authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store?

    while trying to sync with my iphone I recieve the message: This computer is no longer authorized for apps that are installed on the iPhone “Terri George’s iPhone”. Would you like to authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store?  When I put in my password and hit authorize, I get a message telling me there was an unknown error (-50).  Would love to sync today.  Any help would be appreciated.

    The -50 error is documented in this article:
    iTunes: Specific update-and-restore error messages and advanced troubleshooting
    Here is a synopsis:
    Error 13, 14, 35 and 50 (or -50)
    These errors are typically resolved by performing one or more of the steps listed below:
    Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including trying a different USB port directly on the computer. See the advanced steps below for USB troubleshooting.
    Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
    Try a different USB 30-pin dock-connector cable.
    Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
    There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. Your default packet size being set incorrectly can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. Or, follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to reset the packet size back to the default for Windows.
    Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
    Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.

  • Error Code: "This computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPad."

    I'm getting Error Code: “This computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPad.”
    I have tried re-authorizing and the error persists.
    I have also tried de-authorizing ALL my devices, then re-authorizing and that did not help either.
    My husband and I share this iPad and we have set up family sharing.
    We have also each purchased apps using our separate iTunes accounts before I set up the family sharing.
    How can we fix this error message so that I can back the iPad up to my Mac again?
    Husband thinks that at some point we each synced the iPad to our respective Macs.
    Could that be it?
    Thx!!

    I'm not using family sharing, but if you want to sync or backup the iPad with ITunes, I believe that you have to be signed into the same ID on the iPad that you are signed into on the computer and you also have to be authorized for all Apple ID's on that computer that you want to sync or backup with.
    DO you have multiple iTunes libraries on the one computer?

    When i attempt to sync my iphone it continues to say this computer is no longer authorized for apps and they will be deleted?? I don't understand?? I put my password and authorize but same message comes up.  What to do??

    I found the solution in another post.  By deleting all my apps, I was able to sync the phone.  I hope I don't have to delete all my apps every time I want to sync my phone, but at least now I am able to sync my phone.

  • Computer is no longer authorized for apps installed on your iPhone

    Does anyone else get a message that your computer is no longer authorized for apps installed on your iPhone?  When I click "authorize" I get a message that "This computer is already authorized".  But when I click ok, I get the first message again . . .

    No. You must purchase them under your Apple ID. Anything purchased under someone else's Apple ID will present this same issue. You cannot share items in this way.
    Give the above see the following:
    Sharing Stuff From Different iTunes Accounts (or Computers)
    Here's how to do so using different computers:
    Transfer what content you want to the separate iTunes library on each computer. To transfer content from your library to another library do the following. We'll assume this is between husband and wife separate accounts and different Apple IDs.
    Launch iTunes under your wife's login;
    Sign her out of iTunes, then you sign in;
    Select iTunes -> Preferences -> Devices -> Disable auto-sync when an iPod/iPhone is connected;
    Connect your phone, DO NOT SYNC;
    Select Store -> Authorize this Computer (only have to do this once);
    Select File -> Transfer Purchases (all of the purchased content on your phone will be transferred to your wife's library);
    When complete eject your phone, sign out of iTunes, sign your wife back in.
    You can now sync whatever content you want to your wife's phone. Just remember all updates to apps obtained using your account must be done while signed in using your account: sign wife out, you sign in, update apps, you sign out, sign wife in, sync her phone.
    This way you can share content (permitted under the EUSLA) and still maintain your separate logins. Do the same on your computer if you want to share content from your wife's library.
    Just load whatever content you want to share on each others phones, transfer the content, then delete it from the respective phone if you don't want to keep it there.

  • I'm getting this error message  "This computer is no longer authorized to play purchased items that are on the iPod '___'s iPod.' Would you like to authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store?" I have authorized the computer.

    I just purchased songs on itunes, I can play them on my windows 7, but when I try to sync the ipod, I get the error "This computer is no longer authorized to play purchased items on "Stephanie's ipod" Would you like to authorize this computer for purchases from the itunes store.  When I authorize it, it says it is already authorized. Then the process starts all over again. Help.

    You can't change the Apple ID that the Authorize dialog comes up with by default. It's showing you that Apple ID for a reason: it means that the items you want to play were purchased using that Apple ID and therefore you need to authorize your computer with that Apple ID. Changing the Apple ID given completely defeats the entire purpose.
    If you don't know the password to the given Apple ID, then you will no longer be able to play those items.

  • This computer is no longer authorized for programs on "my iphone"...

    Since I did the last update to iphone os 3.0 I cant synchronize my phone to my computer anymore. When I try to download apps to the phone from the computer or the other way, Itunes says "This computer is nolonger authorized for programs installed on your iphone"... and when I authorize Itunes says "This computer is already authorized", "including this one, you have authorized one computer out of your available 5"... and nothing happends... What is wrong? I get crazy over this. I can't get my programs from my computer to the phone and not the other way around. But I can still download programs directly to the phone. Please help me!

    I bought an iphone used from a co-worker who moved into an area that AT&T did not have coverage. It was a bear getting all the info changed to my accounts, particularly the itunes account.
    For quite a while I could buy from the itunes store on my computer and it worked fine, but if I tried to purchase from the app store on my phone it would not recognize my password. Sometimes it would show my email address as the itunes account and sometimes it would show her email address.
    Eventually it seemed to sort itself out and I am free and clear of her info. I don't know if there is some cache or restored database in the itunes store that was pulling old info back into play, but time seemed to cure it...

  • TS1389 "computer is no longer authorized for apps installed on the ipod"

    Is the error message that I receive when I try to sync my ipod.  I receive this for all of my apps and am not able to update or sync my apps.  I get this same message if I delete an app then reinstall it.  I have tried the 4 suggested resolutions with no change.  I'd be fine deleting my free apps and reinstalling, but this does not seem to work.  More importantly, since Apple does not allow free reinstallation of already paid apps, like they do for music, I don't want to delete my paid apps.  consequently, I do not sync my apps.  Any ideas?  thanks for any help.

    Yup,
    Me too...this is stupid, stupid, stupid. Just purchased my 200 (ish) mac and now I am told that my new Mac Book pro is not "authorized".
    Which if my 200 macs are authorized. Can someone please tell me???
    I "deauthorized" my old MBP and still told I cannot use my iPhone with iTunes.
    Interesting that my old $2500 MBP, my new $3000 MBP and my $500 iPhone all cannot work cuz of some pinhead's decision to use this assorization process.
    Yes I am very, very, very mad.
