Error message trying to connect to LDAP

Error creating class for plugin:
com.macromedia.contribute.server.plugin.ldap.Users Config. No
property for
plugin_ldapUsers/userBranches
Anyone have this error before and if so, what exactly does it
mean? None of my network guys can figure it out. Help!

The error that you are seeing is not actually related to the
LDAP itself.
I recently migrated from the default option of using the OEM
JRun 4 instance to a different Java Application Server (JAS) for
CPS. In fact I am running it on a "non-supported" OS as well.
I ran into this error and tracked it down to a problem with
the Java code on the server side. It appears that if your JAS is
too new then the code for the LDAP plugin on CPS won't work.
I successfully migrate all of my services from the OEM JRun4
instance running on CentOS 4 to a server running Solaris 10. The
CPS stuff is running nicely under an installation of JBoss 4.0.2
GA. I tried using JBoss 4.2.2 but ran into the error that you did.
I was able to run it all under an installation of WebSphere 5
Community Edition, but the e-mail user function would not work so I
had to go back to the JBoss installation.
What Application Server are you running this under? Check
your logs for a clue as to what is going on. Please note that the
logs are not set to be verbose by default, but this can be fixed.
Check out my blog post on this:

Verbose Logging on Contribute Publishing Server
Hope this helps.

  • Error Message trying to connect BB and Desktop Manager

I've had my BB for a few months now, and I used to be able to connect it to my laptop and sync Outlook data. Now it won't connect to the Desktop Manager any more. I always get an error message, and this is the technical data it "Sends" to whomever, in the error reporting:
    C:\DOCUME~1\GAYLEE~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERc171.dir00\DesktopMgr.exe.mdmp
    C:\DOCUME~1\GAYLEE~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERc171.dir00\appcompat.txt
How do I get BB to connect to DM and start syncing again?
    Thanks for help.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

i am seeing alot of sync issues lately, the forced windows security update last week looks like it might be the culprit. reinstalling DTM has fixed it for a couple PCs for me. just thinking if you are goign to uninstall 4.3, might as well upgrade on the install.

Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

    Hello,
Try following step and check if issue gets resolved or not.
Find Acrobat.exe on your computer.  Right click the program and click 'Troubleshoot Compatibility'.  Set the compatibility to Windows XP service pack 3.

Your Mac must be on Lion (10.7) to run iCloud. Apple had to change the operating system to fully support it. Nevertheless, it is possible to get emails from iCloud without having Lion. Please tell me if this interests you.
Anyways, here is the link to buy Lion (30 dollars, totally worth the upgrade ): http://itunes.apple.com/be/app/os-x-lion/id444303913?mt=12

  • Hi, tried to download Amazon, asked to update my security, push continue..screen goes white then error message saying' cannot connect to app store' but I'm already on it!

hi, I'm a novice..be gentle! Tried to download Amazon Free... Asked to update my security I pushed OK...screen went white, then an error message saying ' Cannot connect to App Store', however I am already on it! Pls help!!

Are you trying to download the amazon store app? Does this happen with all apps or just amazon?
    Try this
Make sure IOS is updated to latest version
(How to update your iOS device
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4623)
Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings  (or for network connection issues 'reset network settings').
(no media or data will be deleted from the device, this will only take a minute).

  • TS3988 I can't sign in to iCloud, message pops up stating that "iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server". How do I sign in to iCloud now?

Was using iCloud just fine on Mac and iPad and suddenly can't access it from either devices.
When reviewing the settings on iPad a "verification failed, could not communicate with the server" message pops up.
When trying to access iCloud account on icloud.com a "iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server" message pops up.
Meanwhile iCloud no longer works on both devices. (Apple ID works fine on Manage my Account)
I don't remember changing any iCloud settings but I was working on email account settings when this happened....Any ideas??

I have the same problem. This happens multiple times a day. I answer some questions and then unlock my account and then before long it all happens again. Extremely frustrating as I don't have a clue how to solve the problem.

  • I am unable to connect to the icloud from my windows laptop and get an error message: "Connection error: icloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server"

I am unable to connect to icloud from my windows-based laptop and get the following error message: "icloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server."

I would remove the email account from mail and then set it up again.
If your are able to long I via owa though without the auto fill, then we already know the user name and password are correct.
Let me know if that works.

Hello, perhaps this may help: http://blogs.isaserver.org/shinder/2006/03/05/explanation-on-the-502-error-to-de lta-and-sun-sites/ the comments have some specific references to iTunes.
The issue is that it's almost certainly a problem with your firewall/proxy and not iTunes so you might be hard-pressed to find help here as suggesting help for private LAN infrastructure is not the same as suggesting help for iTunes. Usually I'd suggest turning the proxy off and work your way backwards to find out where the problem is but I guess this isn't possible.
Anyway, have a look at the link and see if it helps.

  • Getting error message 'unable to connect to server' when trying to access iCloud

Trying to access my iCloud account but keep getting error message 'unable to connect to server'. Need help please.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Try the following.
Go to Settings > iCloud > Delete Account (This removes your data from your device, but not from your account, it will be added back later).
    Restart the device.
Sign in again (Settings > iCloud, don't use the 'Create New Apple ID' button).

  • I want to access my Icloud account through my office computer but every time I get a message saying ''iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server''

I want to access my Icloud account through my office computer but every time I get a message saying ''iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server''

My recommendation is to download Apple’s Safari version 5.1.7 for Windows to access iCloud.com. It consistently works for me!!!! To make things easier with Safari, I made iCloud.com its Homepage. I’m using it to access iCloud.com from all of my PCs.
On my Windows 7 systems it appears that some add-ons are causing problems when you try to access iCloud.com with the 32-bit version of IE9, but the 64-bit version seems to work fine, more than likely because there are few add-ons that are 64-bit and the 64-bit version of IE9 can't be the default browser in Windows 7.

  • Trying to setup new iCloud in system preferences and get error message: "iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server."

    Here's the sequence of events:
    Setting up a new iMac.
Migration Assistant was aborted during setup and a normal setup was completed.
Then ran Migration Assistant from the newly setup account.
It ran fine, but put all the data in a new account called "user".
Renamed "user" to a new name, renamed the home folder to a new name following these instructions: OS X: How to change your account name or home directory name
Delete the account we originally created, so just have one account with the name we want and all the data, email. Works fine.
Sign into the App Store with the account we share for purchases.
    Now, the problem:
Go to System Preferences to setup iCloud with a new Apple ID
Get this error: "iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server."
So I'm unable to setup iCloud for photo stream, FaceTime, etc.
Internet works fine, we can get mail, etc.
    Rebooting doesn't help
    Ideas?

never mind the problem is gone this morning.

KritiHi. I am no expert, but it sounds like a problem with the privileges the user
has... The best thing is to step back to a simpler environment. Can you try
connecting to DB2 with a simple program like utils.dbping? Please look at our
driver docs for the DB2 driver, because there are several variations in connect
properties depending on the type of DB2 you are connecting to...
