"## Unequal Stereo Regions Corrected"
...where ## is a number. In this case, "2 unequal stereo regions corrected".
This is an old error message going back to Logic 3.x and I'm still at a loss as to why it occurs. Any ideas?
Situation: just re-opened a song in which, earlier today, I was doing some audio editing to one of 6 stereo tracks (all audio in this song is .aif non-interleaved). After getting this message (which appears when the song finishes opening), Logic had moved and truncated the length of the first audio region on the lightly-edited track, but the rest of the regions were in their proper place.
In the past when I've encountered this message, rarely was there any change to the audio. Not the case this time tho...
Does anyone understand this message, how/why it occurs, how to prevent it?

Well, like I always say, no time like the present for a FEATURE REQUEST:
If Logic is going to report that unequal stereo regions have been corrected, it would be nice to know which regions were corrected.
Also, when editing split stereo files in "stereo mode" within the Sample Editor, I would think that, theoretically, any change to the start point, anchor, or end point would be applied equally to both .L and .R files. So if something's getting changed to one of these files, due to no fault by the user, then I have to wonder how the regions can become unequal in the first place. Sniff, sniff... do I smell a... bug?

Yup, just create a div in the page template in the right place to hold your messages and give it an id like...
<div id="noteArea"></div>Now in you javascript, rather than using alerts, you can use
var noteObj = document.getElementById('noteArea');

Error message is not in correct format in portal

Hi,
I am passing message into i_messages table in User Exit CATS0003 .
Syntax Code:
I_MESSAGES-MSGTY = 'E'.
I_MESSAGES-MSGID = Message class name
I_MESSAGES-MSGNO = Message no.
I_MESSAGES-MSGV1 = Message Text.
Append I_MESSAGES.
But the error message populating from Exit is not being displayed in correct format in Portal.
Message coming is like this:
:/kgo/tm:032 Engagement code is not open during time entry.
But the correct format should be:
Engagement code is not open during time entry.

In fact Message is coming in portal but extra message class name (/kgo/tm)and message no.(032) is coming like below
I dont need these Message class & Message no. in message as below

Error message severity not translated correct when locale is changed

We have a shell page displaying different task flows within a dynamic region. The shell page f:view tag has locale="#{LocaleManager.currentLocale}" to allow programmatic change of locale. Most of the flows uses the locale from the browser request (e.g. Danish) but some pages has fixed locale (en_US) and will always be rendered with this locale (don't ask me why. It's a requirement). For those fixed locale pages, the expression #{LocaleManager.currentLocale} always returns "en_US". It works nice, but we have a strange problem with the translation of error messages displayed by validators/converters. E.g. if a character is entered in a number field, the user will see the usual popup error message like "*Error:* The value is not a number". The message part of the error message is translated but the severity message prefix ("Error:" in the example), seems to be translated and cached once per session. If the error message popup has been displayed once in a different locale, then after change of locale, the severity message prefix continues to use the translation from the first display. The message part of the message is translated perfectly.
Let me give an example:
1) User enters da_DK page and enters a invalid number. Error message displayed: "*Fejl:* Værdien er ikke et tal"
2) User enters en_US page and enters a invalid number. Error message displayed: "*Fejl:* The value is not a number"
If the examples is reversed, then the error messages will be:
2) "*Error:* The value is not a number"
1) "*Error:* Værdien er ikke et tal"
Do anyone know how to clear this translated severity message prefix, when locale is changed? Or is there a better way to overcome this issue?
We're using JDeveloper and ADF 11.1.2.2 and are able to reproduce the issue on the embedded weblogic.

ok I added another locale that ships with flash builder, and encoutered the same problem
whenever I change the locale, the error tooltips are gone
I was even able to fix both new locales by assigning the the validators custom error messages using resourceManager.getString() like i assign a value to all other UI strings in the application
the default locale which is specified in the project compiler's parameters is en_US
and my final question to you is:
is there a best practice regarding localizing & managing the error massages Flex SDK uses?
what is the internal path to the resource bundles that flex uses to display errors?
it seems like it makes more sense to copy and edit an existing list of errors, rather then blow up the application code...
can you please share your view on the matter

Getting error message after trying to correct for blank folio builder

This is my first app using IDCC6. I opened the folio builder from the document, gave a name to the article that consisted of 12 picture panels (about 12mg) and tried to review on desktop but just got a blank folio builder screen. Then I updated to cc28 viewer, reset the ID prefs and restarted. Then I got an error message
that said: "article <name> is not compatible with the viewer for which the folio is being published."
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong here, other than perhaps being in the wrong forum. If so, pls let me know where i should post. I'm somewhat confused about naming articles. If that's the problem, I'd like to go into it...cheers all

It's a good idea to check the Project Info (under the Project menu in iDVD) before burning a disc. If any of the Duration bars are in the red, then you need to go back and edit your project. Also check the Encoding type with your total Project Duration: if the project total is under 60 minutes choose "Best Performance;" if it is between 60 and 120 minutes you'll need to select "Best Quality."
Unless you have freed a lot of GB on your hard drive, iDVD will not be able to burn the disc. You'll need at least 15 -25 GB free on your boot drive in order for the app to do all that encoding. It takes a lot of brainwork to turn a 13+ GB movie project into a 4GB DVD file.
When your project is ready to burn, choose File > Save as Disc Image. This tells iDVD to do all the encoding, and will result in a disc image file that you can mount in your DVD Player app to see that all is well. If so, you can quickly burn the disc image with Disc Utility or an app like Toast. If not, then you haven't burned any coasters. Another advantage is that you will be able to burn duplicates of the disc image very quickly, without going through all that encoding again, should other relatives request a copy.

i received this message when i opened a song i was working on in garageband. the last time i worked on it i saved my changes like i always do and everthing was fine. then i open it today and get this message. when i click ok and the file opens many of the tracks are in the wrong spot and/or on the wrong channels...any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks

I only experienced this once, a couple of years ago, on a project where I really pushed things (basically it was three separate projects pieced together into a fourth).
I spent several days trying to track down the cause/fix, and after three days admitted defeat and salvaged what I could from previous iterations and re-did what I had to.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Error message while editing a hierarchy using the Web UI

I´m testing the MDS with SQL Server 2012
When I´m editing hierarchies with the Web UI, for instance, draging and droping one item into another category, I´m getting the following error message:
The item is correctly
reassigned to the new category but the users are not happy when they recieve this kind of error messages. My task is to determine if this is a known bug or a problem with my settings.

How did you load it into iDVD?
The recommended way is to
1) in iMovie, use the Share menu to SHARE/MEDIA BROWSER in Large Size.
2) Open the Media Browser in iDVD (at lower right) and drag in the movie you just shared.
3) Set up any menus and such and burn your DVD.
Is that what you did?

I receive the following error message: "The procedure entry point AVCFAssetCreateWithByteStreamAndOptions could not be located in the dynamic link library AVfoundationCF.dll" After pressing the "OK" button I receive a second error message: 'iTunes not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 127)". I've uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled to no avail. I've also eliminated the temp files (per suggestions on the trouble-shooting page) and no luck. I also tried system restore and that did not fix the problem. Any thougths on a repair?

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (Although the procedure is for Vista and 7 and you've got XP, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.2 with ADF BC. I have a simple form in a jspx with some fields for user to input.
The page contains 3 mandatory fields (simply set required=true): Surname, Name and Title. Where Surename and Name are inputText, and Title is a Select One Choice with List Of Value defined in VO.
If user submit data without anything in the required fields, an error message will popup. But the content of the error message is not quite correct!
All the required inputText has a prefix: *, but Select One Choice do not have a leading *.

Title You must enter a value! is there anyway to add a * to the error message for Select One Choice? or remove all the *? It looks very confusing.

Just purchased annual PDF converter and cannot use it- keep getting error message

I just bought the Adobe service that costs approx. $24 annually, to convert PDF files to Word.doc or Word.docx. I can log in properly, but when I click "Convert" I continually get an error message. I already corrected one error in the system (had not specified English as my language") and thought that would take care of the problem but I still receive the error message. Can't find a way to actually call Adobe on the phone, so this seems to be the only form of help and support. PLEASE HELP!

Do you recall if Photomerge was working before updating to 14.1.2? It is curious that the file is not present. Are there any files in the Stack Scripts Only directory?
I think you'll need to uninstall first, then use the Creative Cloud [CC] (desktop) application to install. You can download via the web portal also, and it will invoke the CC app to install. Once that install is done, you'll want to then update to 14.1.2. (you might have to quit and relaunch CC in order for it to notify you of the update availability).
