Error message using document splitting

Hi All,
My client is implementing ECC 6.0 and would be using the new GL functionality including document splitting. My client would like to balance everything to zero at profit centre level. They would also want to have a unique profit centre per company code i.e. they do not want the same profit centre being used across company codes.
The problem is when it comes to running vendor payments, the paying company code is paying across company codes and I am getting an error message stating no postings can be made to the profit centre in my paying company code as the profit centre is not activated in the paying company code.
Can anyone suggest a way round this or has anyone come across this problem before? How was it resolved.

Hi Lalit Soni,
I have already assigned a default profit centre to my bank account but it didn't work. I have also tried taking out the bank a/c number from the document splitting table but it comes up with the error message to assing a category to my account.
Did u have this problem yourself? Did assigning a profit centre to your bank account help?

The steps I’m following are described below:
1. Insert electronic signatures
- In Tasks, click on “Add New Field -> Digital Signature”.

- Fill in the “field name” with the name of the person who has to sign here.
- When it is done, click anywhere on the screen.
- In Tasks, click on “Close Form editing”.
- Go to menu “File -> Save as -> Reader Extended PDF ->Enable additional features”, click on “Save now”.
- Fill in the file name and click on “Save”.
2. Save the Form
- In Tasks, click on “Close Form editing”.
- Go to menu “File -> Save as -> Reader Extended PDF ->Enable additional features”, click on “Save now”.
- Fill in the file name and click on “Save”.
I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.0.0 on a W7 workstation

Error message: "This document contains photoshop data which appears to be damaged."

I saved the file I was working on by choosing "Save" from the "File" menu. Unfortunately after 10 min as I saved my work my PC had "issues" and needed to be manually shut off. I was trying to open the psd file after restarting my computer and I get this error message: "This document contains photoshop data which appears to be damaged. Continue and ignore the photoshop data?" I clicked okay and then I get just a black screen. No Layers or any pictures.
I have tried to preview in Graphic Converter, in Illustrator, in ACDSee, etc... Nothing... I just get a black screen. Also, I have tried file recovery programs: Stellar Phoenix PSD Repair V1.0 and Advanced PSD Repair v1.4
The program Stellar Phoenix PSD Repair V1.0 was able to recover only BMP picture 3.4 KB, it is so tiny that you can't see anything on the picture.
I also have tried to install plugin "psdrecover", for Adobe Photoshop. Unsuccessfully for some reason. The plugin does not want to be installed into the "plugins" folder. I did follow the instructions.
I am using Photoshop 6 version and Windows 7 operating System.
I am in dire need of help. I've been working on it for days. Is there any way to recover that file back?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you're likely out of luck. We almost never hear of anyone recovering image data from a damaged PSD.
Some thoughts:
1. Set up backups.
2. Get in the habit of saving your master file in several different locations as you work on it.
3. Consider upgrading to Photoshop CS6, which auto-saves your work in the background. I'm not sure whether it would have recovered the data in your particular case, but it's possible.
4. Don't feel bad - go back and do the image again, and I'll bet it comes out even better in less time.

A few general trouble shooting tips that may apply here:
1. If you used Software Update to do the OS update(s) to reach 10.6.7, go to http://support.apple.com/downloads/ and download and apply the Mac OS v10.6.7 Combo Updater. The Combo Updater contains some fixes that were not included in the incremental updaters used by Software Update.
1a. Check that you have the current version of Pages (and of the other iWork applications) installed. All three applications' current version numbers end in .0.5
2. A common cause of malfunctioning applications is a corrupted preferences file (.plist file). Your Pages '09's plist is at yourname > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iWork.pages.plist
Quit Pages, locate the file and Drag it to the Desktop (or to the Trash).
Restart Pages and attempt to open one of the files.
If all is well, Trash the plist file and empty the Trash.
If there's no change, AND you've made changes to the Preferences that you wish to keep, drag the file back to its previous location, replacing any new one that has been created.

A "quick" fix that worked for me was to uninstall Adobe... then download the base install for Adobe Reader 11.0.
Then download each of the individual updates and run them sequentially.
I've installed back up to the last security update which is version 08 and have been able to do normal Save As operations.
You will have to disable automatic updates in order to stay at version 08 until Adobe resolves this issue in a later release.

Error message "The document could not be saved. This file is already open" when trying to complete an electronic signature.

Running Adobe Acrobat Professional 10.1.0. I cannot upgrade to newer version because several applications were already tested on this version.
When trying to complete an electronic signature, my users receive the error message ""The document could not be saved. This file is already open". When they close and open the file again to try to sign again they find a corrupted electronic signature. Instead of a clean signature with the box colored in light blue they see their signature with the embedeed message Click Here to Verify & Sign with the box colored in grey.
We turned off antivirus in the Sharefolder where the forms are stored and nothing. We turned off the antivirus on the client and nothing. We stored the files in another server and nothing. One workaround is saving the file in the desktop, signing it, and then back to the Sharefolder. Another is saving the file with a different file name.
I've searched and the only similar thing was caused by the Windows Preview Pane. See Information Transmogrification: Adobe Acrobat saving a file does not work, displays “File may be read-only”. No luck with this one too.
Is definitively an intermittent problem. The users that experience the problem experience it intermittently.
This started to happen when we move our computers to Windows 7.
Any ideas?

Correction on Question:
This is a web application and the users need to be able to load the editable .pdf form from the website, edit it and submit it back to the website from within Internet Explorer.
Users began getting the error message:
'The document could not be saved. This file is already open.'
last Friday after having no problems prior to this. Some users can edit the editable .pdf forms on the website and save the file with the same name to the website. Some get the error mentioned in the subject.
We really need help getting this resolved.

Additionally, I had upgraded to the Pro version of Quicktime recently, but it appears I've retrograded back to the basic version, unexplainably.

                    There's a transaction that makes use of classes and interfaces to display an ALV grid with input enabled frames and fields. There's a need to display an error message using a specified BADI method, which gets triggered after the user enters the input. The error message is working fine for the first time.<b>But when i'm trying to enter the same input and press enter after the error message, the transaction is getting closed. How can i display the same error message, until and unless the user enters the correct input ?</b> I've tried to trace the control using the debugger after the enter is pressed, but the debugger is also getting closed and the control is coming out of the transaction. Help me out in displaying the error message.

Open the interface and go to the Methods tab.
Select the Method and click on Parameters.
In the method parameters, declare a variable
RETURN      Changing      Type     ALM_ME_BAPIRET2_T.
Now, inside your code, declare   DATA : ls_return TYPE bapiret2.
and populate this RETURN table, something like:
        if not ( wa_mara-mtart eq 'SPAR' or wa_mara-mtart eq 'ZMRO' ).
    CLEAR ls_return.
    MOVE 'E' TO ls_return-type.
    MOVE 'ERR_MESSAGE' TO ls_return-id.
    MOVE '999' TO ls_return-number.
    MOVE 'Enter proper error message here' TO ls_return-message.
    INSERT ls_return INTO TABLE return.
    endif.
Then, back in your program, check if this table is empty proceed otherwise, STOP or EXIT.

Send custom error message using IDoc conversion rule?

Hello,
I am using an Idoc conversion rule in BD79 to load cost centers. In my conversion rule I use a conversion exit function module to concatenate 2 specific characters and sending cost center value together and then this output value placed in the receiving cost center field. This works fine, but now I want to send a custom error message to the idoc and fail the idoc if the sending cost center value is greater than 8 digits.
Does anyone know how to send an error message or update an idoc with an error message using a conversion rule (bd79)?

if you validate the value of a field and intend to rise an error message on detection of invalid values in a separate window or in the status line there is no way to do it with Formatted Searches (as far as I know)!
You could use the following methods as simple workarounds if you don't want to program a solution with the SDK:
1. Solution
You can display the text of an error message in the field you validate; of course, the invalid data then is overwritten with your error message, but you could construct the message from fixed text parts concatenated with the data found in the field.
Be sure to save the original data of the field in your query before you do anything else. This way you sustain the field data in case the data is valid!
Example:
DECLARE @save AS ....
SET @save = $[xxxxx]
IF $[xxxxx] test on invalid data
SELECT 'Error: Invalid data: ' + $[xxxxx] -- in case of error
ELSE
SELECT $[xxxxx] -- no error - sustain valid data
END
2. Solution:
You define a sepate User Defined Field (UDF) for potential error messages - that's the way I often programmed it for our own applications. Suppose that the Formatted Search is connected to this UDF and the field to validate is field 'xxxxx'. The Formatted Search is triggered (auto-refresh) on change of field 'xxxxx':
IF $[xxxxx] test on invalid data
SELECT 'Error: Invalid data: ' + $[xxxxx] -- in case of error
END
May be that there are minor syntactical errors or missing type conversions in the code above - but I hope it gives you an idea on how to solve your problem without SDK programming!

Error relating to Document Splitting

Hello,
I am trying to clear a GL a/c using F-03 wherein system throws an error "Acct determination 01001/missing" (Message no. GLT2152). The diagnosis of message is given at the end.
When I try to assign the item category '01001' in customizing node for "Classify GL a/c for Doc Splitting", I again get the error - "The (technical) item category 01001 is not permitted"
(Message no. GLT1170)
Could you please provide some inputs on tackling this...?

    The online document splitting is active in your system. Here, each document is assigned to a accounting transaction variant and each document row to an item category.
    You determine for each business transaction variant which item categories can or must be posted here.
    A splitting rule is defined for each business transaction variant, which determines which item categories are to be split and how the splitting should be determined.
    Additional rows need to be created in a G/L account that was defined in the account determination in an account determination key.
The following error occurred for the document you entered:
    The account determination key does not exist yet.
System response
    The document cannot be posted.
Procedure
    Either check the splitting rule or create the account determination key

Hi,
the GL range is already defined in the said place with item category "cash account". The error is to have item category "01001 - Zero Balance Clearing". When I try to define the same by changing "cash a/c" category, it stops me saying "The (technical) item category 01001 is not permitted"
(Message no. GLT1170). Even deleting the old assignment and recreating a fresh one doesnt works.

EPSON Workforce 310 "scanner reported an error" when using document feeder

I'm having trouble using my EPSON Workforce 310 printer/scanner with my new MacBook Pro (late 2012, 2.5 GHz i5, OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2).
Using the flatbed I can scan without a problem. But when I try to use the document feeder, I get the following error right after I click Scan and before the scanner has done anything (at least I don't hear anything moving inside the EPSON):
Scanner reported an error
An error occured during scanning
The EPSON's display doesn't show any error or special message.
This is repeated whether I use Image Capture, Preview's Import from Scanner, or the printer's native app (PrinterProxy, the one that shows up in the doc whenever the printer is printing or scanning).
I have no problem doing the scanning from my old iMac (2006, 2GHz Core Duo, Snow Leopard). After scanning to the MacBook fails I can walk over to the iMac and scan from there without problem and without resetting anything on the EPSON.
The EPSON is connected the home network via ethernet to a Time Capsule. Both computers are connected to the network via WiFi.

My wife's iMac with 10.6.6 stopped working with her Epson 2480 Photo scanner. Get the error message "SCANNER reported an error. An error has occurred during scanning" I am trying to use it from the Image Capture App or from the print/fax option in Settings which opens Image Capture. I ran the uninstall program and then reinstalled the ICA 13969 .dmg but get the same error. Not sure what else I can do.

I have facing an error message on Material document contains no items (order: 40000004 item: 000010) & Message no. /DBM/COMMON286.
This error happen when I want to create Good Issue with action QGIS (Create Goods Issue (DBM)).
Steps that I create vehicle order:
1.     Go to /dbm/order01 and select 3010 u2013 Vehicle Order based on Model
2.     Then I create for a new customer with model sales code
3.     I save the vehicle order in DBM.
4.     I go to VELO to create vehicle on Peugeot model sales code and create PO, good receipt and incoming invoice.
5.     Then I use action QDBM to enable vehicle to DBM.
6.     I assign the vehicle (DBM) to my vehicle order (created based on model).
7.     The assignment is successful; therefore I would like to do Good Movement (good issue). Error : Material document contains no items pop up.
8.     I have try with create VELO, assign QDM and create 3000 u2013 vehicle order, Good Movement able to perform.
I apply snote 1527931 - Problem with reading of document flow on nonunicode systems.
Its doesn't work, system say still say that material document contains no items.
is it advisable change error message to warning message?

I am not sure but this coudl be reason.
You have created a vehicle but you have not created the purchase order and Goods Recipt for the Vehicle, means the VEHICLE IS NOT IN YOUR INVENTORY
First check whether the vehicle is in inventory or not, if not then not possible to do Goods issue.
