Error message using flip4mac to import wmv to imovie?

Hi-

Can anyone help me to figure out how to make this work?

  • Error message when trying to import Quicktime movies

All of the sudden, I'm getting this weird error message when trying to import various Quicktime movies. I've never seen this message before:
File Error: 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown
Any thoughts why this might be happening? Any input would be appreciated.

I now see that two of them have been encoded using the AAC, Sorenson Video 3 codec which is not one I've seen before so I suspect that would be it.
The other one I'm having trouble with is encoded using Integer (Big Endian), Animation. I know I've seen the Integer (Big Endian) codec before so do you think that because it's animation that's a problem? I imported several other uncompressed files that were encoded with Integer (Big Endian) that worked fine so that's my suspicion.
Tom, you've always been very helpful on these boards for my questions. Thank you so much.

    Hi Grigsby9,
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. This error usually appears when your iTunes Media folder location is incorrectly configured in your iTunes Advanced preferences. Let’s check these preferences to makes sure that iTunes is point to a folder that exists:
Locate and organize your iTunes files - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/ht1391
Find and change the iTunes Media folder location
You can change the iTunes Media folder location to share music between accounts on the same computer.
    1.Mac OS X: Choose iTunes > Preferences.
    Windows: Choose Edit > Preferences.
    2. Click the Advanced pane.

  • I Get an error message when trying to import cd's

I keep getting an error message when trying to import cd's - "You don't have write access for your media player"
I already tried going to the itunes media folder and unchecking the "read only" box but it didn't help.
I recently changed computers but since then I've copied cd's to my itunes folder with no problems. Now I get this message.

Try a couple folders up - a parent folder's permissions can cause problems with a child subfolder.
And don't just rely on the read-only box. Go to c/users/username/music, right-click and get permissions, go to the security tab and make sure your username has full control and ownership.

  • To display a continuos Error Message using BADI

    Hi Everybody,
There's a transaction that makes use of classes and interfaces to display an ALV grid with input enabled frames and fields. There's a need to display an error message using a specified BADI method, which gets triggered after the user enters the input. The error message is working fine for the first time.<b>But when i'm trying to enter the same input and press enter after the error message, the transaction is getting closed. How can i display the same error message, until and unless the user enters the correct input ?</b>  I've tried to trace the control using the debugger after the enter is pressed, but the debugger is also getting closed and the control is coming out of the transaction. Help me out in displaying the error message.

    Hi,
Open the interface and go to the Methods tab.
Select the Method and click on Parameters.
In the method parameters, declare a variable
    RETURN      Changing      Type     ALM_ME_BAPIRET2_T.
Now, inside your code, declare   DATA : ls_return TYPE bapiret2.
and populate this RETURN table, something like:
if not ( wa_mara-mtart eq 'SPAR'  or wa_mara-mtart eq 'ZMRO' ).
        CLEAR ls_return.
        MOVE 'E' TO ls_return-type.
        MOVE 'ERR_MESSAGE' TO ls_return-id.
        MOVE '999' TO ls_return-number.
MOVE 'Enter proper error message here' TO ls_return-message.
        INSERT ls_return INTO TABLE return.
        endif.
Then, back in your program, check if this table is empty proceed otherwise, STOP or EXIT.

  • Send custom error message using IDoc conversion rule?

    Hello,
I am using an Idoc conversion rule in BD79 to load cost centers.  In my conversion rule I use a conversion exit function module to concatenate 2 specific characters and sending cost center value together and then this output value placed in the receiving cost center field.  This works fine, but now I want to send a custom error message to the idoc and fail the idoc if the sending cost center value is greater than 8 digits.
Does anyone know how to send an error message or update an idoc with an error message using a conversion rule (bd79)?
    Thank you,
    Rhonda

  • Getting Error Message using Formatted Search

    Hi,
I am using formatted search for validating a particular field, and that happens fine.  Kindly let me know if I can also display error messages using the same formatted search.
If yes, what am I to include in the formatted search, and if No, please let me know the alternative.
    Thanks in advance.
    Satish.

    Hi Satish,
if you validate the value of a field and intend to rise an error message on detection of invalid values in a separate window or in the status line there is no way to do it with Formatted Searches (as far as I know)!
You could use the following methods as simple workarounds if you don't want to program a solution with the SDK:
    1. Solution
You can display the text of an error message in the field you validate; of course, the invalid data then is overwritten with your error message, but you could construct the message from fixed text parts concatenated with the data found in the field.
Be sure to save the original data of the field in your query before you do anything else. This way you sustain the field data in case the data is valid!
    Example:
    DECLARE @save AS ....
    SET @save = $[xxxxx]
IF $[xxxxx] test on invalid data
SELECT 'Error: Invalid data: ' + $[xxxxx] -- in case of error
    ELSE
SELECT $[xxxxx] -- no error - sustain valid data
    END
    2. Solution:
You define a sepate User Defined Field (UDF) for potential error messages - that's the way I often programmed it for our own applications. Suppose that the Formatted Search is connected to this UDF and the field to validate is field 'xxxxx'. The Formatted Search is triggered (auto-refresh) on change of field 'xxxxx':
IF $[xxxxx] test on invalid data
SELECT 'Error: Invalid data: ' + $[xxxxx] -- in case of error
    END
May be that there are minor syntactical errors or missing type conversions in the code above - but I hope it gives you an idea on how to solve your problem without SDK programming!
    Good luck!

  • Got an error message "You can't open the application iMovie because it may be damaged or incomplete"  What do I do next to try to fix?  Thanks.

I tried accessing imovie after not using it for a long time and got an error message "You can't open the application iMovie because it is damaged or incomplete. I'm not sure how to go about addressing it.  Your suggestions would be very much apprecaited.

Judging by your OSX, I presume that your iMac would have come with 2 installation discs.
iMovie and all the iLife software will be on disc 2.
Run the disc and re-install iMovie.
After that, do a software update.,

  • Error message using SQL import and Export Wizard with Excel spread sheet

I am trying to import an Excel spreadsheet using the Import export wizard that is provided with SQL 2014.
Everything seems to set up OK but then when I go to do the transfer "error message" comes up saying:
External Table is not in the expected format.(Microsoft Jet Database Engine).
This is a spreadsheet and there is no database, that is why I want to import it into a database!!  So the reference to JET is a tad disappointing.
So why the error and how do I fix the problem?
As there are over 100 variables in the spread sheet rows, it would be great to have this automatically create the database and populate the fields.
I am using SQL 2014  Express and Office Excel 2013.
Thank you in  advance for taking the time to read this, and hopefully sheading some light on the issue.

    Hi AWlcurrent,
When import a .xlsx file to SQL Server using SQL Server Import and Export Wizard, you see a “External Table is not in the expected format.(Microsoft Jet Database Engine).” error message. This error message seems that the Microsoft JET Database Engine is
unable to handle something that is contained in the file.
So please make sure there is no unsupported content in the Excel file. Alternatively, we can use ‘Microsoft Excel’ as the Data Source, then Select ‘Microsoft Excel 2007’ as the Excel version to import the excel file.
If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask.

  • Getting an error message when I convert to .WMV

So I have my project all done, I got to convert to a WMV file, and then it pops up the error message of "Insonsistent Audio Sample Rate" "The media you are exporting contains audio with multiple sample rates."
Now when I check the sample rates on everything they are all at 48. So I'm not sure what the problem is.
Even weirder is, that I am able to convert to a WMV on another project using the same footage, just a different section of it. But it was all shot at the same time.
    Any ideas?

    Hi(Bonjour)!
I just found this info on Flip4mac web site:
    "Article 0070
    Category: WMV Components
    Subject: Inconsistent Audio Sample Rate
    Date: 7/17/07
We have confirmed that when encoding WMV files with uncompressed audio sources after installing QT 7.2, you will receive "Inconsistent Audio Sample Rate" error and the encode will fail. This affects Flip4Mac WMV Studio, Studio Pro, Studio Pro HD versions. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
You might want to try the following steps as a temporary workaround:
    1. Open up the clip in QT Pro, iMovie or Final Cut Pro
    2. Export to Mpeg-4
    3. Click Options
    4. On the file format pull down select MP4
    5. On the video format pull down select Pass through if possible. Otherwise, select H264.
    6. Then go to the audio tab, and change the output sample to 44.100
    7. Then save the file
This will make an MP4 file which will not recompress the video format more than once with the audio sample rate changed to 44.100 which will allow the file to be exported to WMV.

  • Error message when trying to import a CD into iTunes

I get an error message when I try to import a CD into iTunes that says the disk cannot be found. I recently requested to uninstall Tune-up because I kept receiving annoying messages to purchase the software. It looks like Tune-up is deactivated, but now I can't import music. Any suggestions?

Without much to go on I think your drive is having problems.  It may be something minor such as dust which could possibly be removed using a drive cleaning disc (computer supply store or CD store), or it could be an irregular error in a laser, or tracking, or loose cable, or...
One way to eliminate any iTunes possibility is if it is consistently doing this with a particular CD then try an alternative ripping tool such as XLD or Max.

  • Error message when trying to import photos into Bridge CS5

Hi, when trying to import photos from a card reader into Bridge CS5, I click "get Photos" and get the following error message: "cannot obtain all files from this device. Please ensure the device is connected properly, or that the battery is charged". It imports a small selection of the images from the sd card but that is all. I'm currently using a Windows 7 desktop computer with plenty of ram.
    Any suggestions?

Hi station_two, thanks for your quick response.
I can confirm that its not the card reader/cable, usb port, defective sd card or the computer itself. I have already eliminated all these potential culprits through trial and error using different several ports/cards/readers and even a different computer (although not into bridge).
I am able to copy the photos from the same card/card reader into Lightroom on the same computer (incidentally, when using Lightroom it uses the term 'Import photos'!)
I am using a number of Panasonic Lumix Micro 4/3s cameras (GH1/GF1/GX1). The sd cards have a combination of RAW and JPEG and the problem exists whether using 4GB or 16GB cards. I have plenty of space left on my hard drive and as stated, I'm running a fast desktop PC (Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit OS) so I'm certain this is not the issue.
Could this possibly be a problem with the cache?

  • Error message using Disk Utility

Okay, my System Preferences is not showing up, so I ran the Disk Utility and this is the error message I got:
Volume Macintosh HD was corrupt and needs to be repaired.
Error: This disk needs to be repaired...then use Disk Utility to repair the disk.
What do I do? Do I reinstall Mac OS X Snow Leopard or is this a whole other issue? Do I take it in to get checked out? Can I fix this without taking it in? HELP!

What you need to do is repair the disk using your install disk (after you make sure that you've backed up your important data or have a current Time Machine backup):
insert install disk and hold down C key while restarting
once booted from the install disk, go past the languages, and then up to Menu bar - Utilities. Open Disk Utility and run repair disk. If it says "repaired", you're done. If not, run it again until you get the repaired dialog. You can then restart from your internal disk, eject the install CD and you're all set.
If Disk Utility can't repair it, you'd need a more powerful application or it could be other things - we'll wait with that until after you've run the repair function.

  • Populate Error Message using  MB_MIGO_BADI

    Hi Friends,
My requirement is whenever the user does a goods receipt using transaction "MIGO" I need to check whether the item selected has an indicator "Delivery Completed" at the PO level and if this indicator is set for this PO item I need to throw an Error message and should not allow the user to create a GR against that item. I have implemented the BADI "MB_MIGO_BADI" for this purpose and I am using the method "POST_DOCUMENT" to check the PO item and throw an error message, bu the issue is afterI  throw an error message and when the user tries to exit from the transaction MIGO using the exit button, the system throws an short dump " Screen: Illegal message" because the program attempted to issue a " " message during "Exit Command" processing. In order to avoid this i tried the method "CHECK_ITEM" to populate the error message to application log, it works fine but I am not able to get the line item details inside this method. I even tried to import the line item details from the method "LINE_MODIFY" and then use it in "CHECK_ITEM" method, but the issue here is CHECK_ITEM is called only once for all the line item, ""LINE_MODIFY" was called every time i change the line item, so I was not able to use it. Can you please let me know if there is any other better way to achieve this.
As per the below weblog, this scenario is available as part of the standard in ECC Ehp4, but unfortunately we are on Ehp1.
Delivery Complete Indicator of PO and Goods Receipt

    Dear Imran,
To achieve the best possible solution you have to use two methods of this BADI in combination with each other. These two methods are 'LINE_MODIFY' and 'CHECK_ITEM'.
The method 'LINE_MODIFY' will be called every time there is some activity on the MIGO screen. In this method you will have both the item line id and the item structure available in the interface. You will need to create a class attribute which is an internal table of a locally defined structure. The first field of this  structure will be the line_item_id and the second will be the item structure itself. The first time when this method is called for a line item a new entry is inserted into this class level attribute. For each subsequent time this structure needs to be updated with the new values comparing the line item id.
The method 'CHECK_ITEM' will be called when you press the 'CHECK' or the 'POST' buttons. In this method based on the line item id the corresponding item structure will be obtained from the class level attribute. Using the data of the structure you can then perform your validations and populate the BAPIRET2_TAB parameter with the message details which will then be dispayed in the popup message box in MIGO.
      Hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Pradip
