How do you determine which field has a null value when you receive the following. The error message was received when using Safari 5.1.7 and numerous operating systems.

It appears that you probably submitted a form without any information in one of the fields.

Windows error message "Setup could not read the CD you inserted..."

I partitioned my Macbook HD using bootcamp assistant and allowed 32GB for the partition. Then I tried installing windows using the assistant. I only get as far as verifying the windows CD (not far as which file system to use FAT32 or NTFS). Then I receive the error message, "Setup could not read the CD you inserted, or the CD is not a vaild windows CD." I am using the Windows XP Service Pack 2 version - not an upgrade. Also I tried booting up straight to the CD but that did not help either. Any suggestions?

Please disregard my question. Although my Windows XP Pro documentation and folder did not say upgrade I just looked at the CD for the tenth time and just saw Upgrade printed on the CD. I'm not making excuses but the holographic images make the CD a little hard to read. Sorry for the trouble. I guess I will be going out and buying the full version now.

Hi... I am getting the error message "Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding"
I have read the previous replies to this error message and have made sure the Ipad is connected to internet (skype works fine.)
I have also done a hard reset on my Cisco router.
I have Reset Ipad to factory settings twice.
I have Reset network settings five times
I have Powered off and on five times,
turned wifi off and on countless times.
Any idea other ideas? Ipad was bought in US 3 weeks ago. Worked fine at hotel in mexico. I am now in Bolivia. Different countries screwing it up? Could my router be too old? My Mac and iphone work fine on it though, although they are also old and since my macbook refuses to update it runs on OSX 10.5.8

Can you connect to the internet using other WiFi networks? Have you even tried outside of your own home WiFi network? Have you tried anything I here yet?

Occasionally I get this message in Safari but I also can't get online with any browser when I get the message. What I always do - and it always works for me - is to close all apps on my iPad and reset the device. I don't know if closing apps has any real effect or not. Most likely is it the system reset that brings it back to normal behavior.
Due to the fact that you have restored to factory settings twice already, I can't believe that resetting the iPad would do any good at all. But you are getting nowhere anyway, so try it if you like.
In order to close all of your apps, drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Is your MacBook using Mac OS X 10.6.8 as indicated in your post? If so you will not be able to fully integrate with iCloud.
iCloud and Snow Leopard, by Roger Wilmut describes what iCloud options are available for Snow Leopard.
If you are using Lion, go to iCal>Preferences...>Accounts, and delete/re-add your iCloud CalDAV server.

i get a message every time i start up firefox saying "Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile directory. I have the error message appeared when i tried to restore to previous backup. I had recently upgraded my iPhone 4S to IOS 7.0, and at the same time upgraded iTunes to version 11.1.0.126 (snapshot below). Mind to know how do i get rid of it?

I have had problems with sending emails to the members of an organization, as a Group in Address Book. I'd get the message shown in the title above, with smtp.me.com being the server. In the past, many many tries usually resulted in eventual success. This time I decided to get to the bottom of it.
I searched the forums; my settings seemed to be correct. After that, the only relevant thing was the statement that there's a 100-address limit on Groups, set by Apple. I cut my group into two, each with about 75 members. No luck.
Next I tried Apple's Mobileme help chat. The first time I was told I had corrupted addresses and had to export everything as a Vcard file (which would somehow clear up the corruption), erase the entire contents of Address Book, reimport the Vcard file data, and then manually re-establish my Groups.
Two things about this bothered me: one of the rejected addresses I knew for a fact was good, and then the daunting prospect of making some sort of saved list of group members and then manually choosing them all over again out of the entire list of contacts. So I logged into chat again.
The second person I chatted with told me the same thing but that I could save my Groups by exporting each one separately as a Vcard file (one file per group, it is in the Export menu of AB) and then making new empty groups with my original Group names, and re-importing them.
This I did. First I backed up the Address Book datafile, then I exported the entire list of everyone, then exported each group, so I had a bunch of separate Vcard files with names like "AllAddresses.vcf", "Jack'sFriends.vcf", "SmithEvent.vcf" and so on. Then I chose all the entries in AB and deleted them. I Imported the "AllAddresses.vcf" file, then in AB I made the Groups again: Jack'sFriends and so on. Then instead of importing the various .vcf files I just dragged each one to its corresponding Group in AB.
Voilá!
My database was recreated, easily. No duplicates were created.
Only problem was, the email was still rejected. This magical process of exporting as .vcf file is supposed to clear up corruption. But what if that was not the problem?
I decided next to divide my 2 Groups that I was sending to, into 8 small groups, as a way to more easily find the bad addresses, and possibly dodge the problem if it was related to the groups being still too large.
When I reduced the size of the Groups to between 20 and 30 addresses each, and sent 8 separate emails, the problem vanished. (I did not try each of the 8 Groups in the address block of a single email, which would have been a lot easier than cutting and pasting to make 8 different identical emails. It might work.)
None of the addresses had been bad. Apparently it was just that the number of addresses was too large, at about 75. I should note that I tried sending via my gmail account also and it had failed with the exact same message.
So, divide and conquer!

Is there an email saved in your drafts or outbox folder? I suspect that Mail is continually trying to send it, and each time Google is rejecting the email message.
You can open the message and then delete it from your Outbox folder. Then try removing all @gmail email addresses from it and seeing whether you can send to the other folks. I suspect that will work.
With email, if an SMTP server *can* verify email addresses, sometimes it will and it will refuse to send messages. If a message has to be relayed across servers, no verification is done, and you'll get a bounce if an email address is bad.

InLine error message below field, not to the "left" of field

I'm using some java script to validate that a field is not left blank, the onblur triggers an error, and the error is displayed on between the field label and the field. I'm glad the the error does display, but I wish that it diaplayed under the field, not to the left of the field. I think that them template needs to be adjusted, but so far, I don't have it working.
Any ideas?

What version of iOS is the new one running? It may need to be updated before you can restore. You can not restore a backup made with a newer version of iOS to a device running an older version.

After updating my iPHone 3G to the latest operating system (5.0.1 (9A405) I can no longer send emails using. I keep getting an error message it doesn't recognize the server?

After updating my operating system to 5.0.1 I can no longer send messages on my Road Runner email account even after modifying the outbound server for their mobile one. Opening Mail shows its trying to send but than I'm told the server wasn't recognized and the emails are in a temporary outbox. I can receive no problem on both Road Runner and Yahoo Mailboxes but can only send on Yahoo. Problem is that 95% of my emails come into Road Runner. Anybody find a solution to this?

You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.
