Error Message When Attempting to Open a Portfolio of Projects

"The description cannot exceed the maximum length of 400 kilobytes"
When I click OK it returns me to all projects again rather than just the projects in the portfolio I have selected. What is causing this?

    What computer operating system?
And, where is the music coming from, iTunes? If so, that is a known problem with Premiere Elements (just about any version).
The answer has been to convert the iTunes music to the wav version in iTunes.

  • Error message when attempting to open iTunes

    Hi everyone,
I had an outdated version of iTunes installed and I tried to update it for the newest version, but I had lots of problems regarding disk space so I installed the earlier version again to try and reverse what I'd done. Now, all my music is still there (and my library) but when I attempt to open iTunes I get an error message that says 'Choose Library...' and no matter what I do, I can't open iTunes.
Has anyone had this problem before? I'm on Windows XP.
    Thanks,
    li0n4

You could try a repair, rather than a reinstall.
    Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
Find itunes in the list and press change, then repair.

  • I received this error message when attempting to open my iTunes:  apple application support not found

I'm not sure if my iTunes won't open because my apple software might have been deleted from my computer during a clean out.  How do I reestablish my apple software without losing all my iTunes music?  Apple's error message is telling me that I have to uninstall iTunes and then re install it, but I'm pretty sure I'll lose everything if I do this.  Suggestions?????

    Hello RunnerGirl98,
If you reinstall iTunes using this article, your songs will not be deleted. The Media in iTunes is stored in the iTunes folder, which is normally found in your Music folder and is not attached, or part of the iTunes application.
It will be either one of these 2 articles depending on the OS version you have installed:
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1925
    or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923
I would also verify where your iTunes library is stored using this information:
Where are my iTunes files located?

  • Get 500 Internal Server Error message when attempting to open Firefox.

Firefox working fine until last week. Cannot connect. Only receive error message. Uninstalled & re-installed. Same error message. Windows 7, Zone Alarm. Explorer 8.

    Hi,
According to your description, there is a 500 internal server error when you select any Option in your OWA.
Based on my research, we can try the following steps:
    1.  Check whether Virtual Directories Authentication configured properly. Enable the ECP Virtual Directory with Anonymous and Basic Authentication.
    2.  Check on the Application Pools to view whether ECP Application Pool is running on .NET Framework v4.0. It maybe the incompletely installation of Framework that causes this error.
If so, We can try to run the following command as Administrator:
    %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\aspnet_regiis.exe -i
Or change the MSExchangeECPAppPool from .NET Framework from v4.0 to v2.0. Then restart IIS.
If you have any question, please do not hesitate to tell me.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks,
    Winnie Liang

  • Why do I get an error message when trying to open PE 8.0 projects with PE9.0?

I am trying to open a project in PE 9.0 that I made with PE 8.0. Each time, and with different projects, I get this error message:
"Projects created with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Premiere Elements are not compatible. Please use apropriate application to open this project."
I have never used Adobe Premiere Pro nor is in installed on my computer! I updated my PE 8.0 with the patch that came out last year.
My Operating System is Windows XP Pro, Service Pack  3, system specs are SATA 2 RAID 1 with dual 1 TB hard drives. 4 GB RAM. I have an Intel Core2  processor Q6600 (2.4 Ghz, 1066 FSB) with Quad Core technology and 8 MB cache, 4  GB DDR2 SDRAM at 800 MHz.
My hard drive has been defragmented and have 779 GB or 83 percent free space.

Can you create a test Project in PrE 9 and does that work. If so, close that Project and then Open it again in PrE 9.
It could be as simple as your PrE 8 Projects just not Opening in PrE 9. There is often forward compatibility, but not always. It is usually best to finish Projects in the version, in which they were started.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Error message when attempting to use scanner Canon model MP610

Error message when attempting to use scanner Canon model MP610, any one have any fixes, suggestions?

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, empty trash, reboot when complete.
    For the other problems...
See if the Disk is issuing any S.M.A.R.T errors in Disk Utility...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH7029
Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab of Activity Monitor, are there a lot of Pageouts?

  • Error 16 when attempting to open Premiere Pro

I get an Error 16 message when attempting to open Premiere Pro trial.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times.  Followed the recommended suggestion to reset permission folders.  Still no luck launching the application.  I also noticed on the crash report EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) and KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x0000000000000000.
    Any suggestions ?

Thanks.. these recommendations had already been taken into account.  The solution.. adjust the sharing & permissions settings in the Adobe folder.
    - In Finder locate Library > Application Support > Adobe
    - Then open the info window
    - Unlock Sharing & Permissions
    - Select Read and Write privilege for your user name
    - Click the wheel at the bottom of the window
    - Hit Apply to Enclosed Items...
    - Click the Lock
    - Launch Application

  • Error message when trying to open windows7 via vmwarefusion.

    error message when trying to open windows7 via vmwarefusion.;
Unable to open file "/Users/geraldw/Documents/Virtual Machines.localized/Windows 7.vmwarevm/Windows 7-000016.vmdk": The system cannot find the file specified.
I've completely uninstalled vmaware fusion. and would like to install a new copy of windows7 plus my vmware fusion3.0 that I have on a disk. I wonder if windows7 is still buried in my mac hard drive somewhere?  I can see some windows files on my mac but they appear a gray and can not be accessed. Could there be a problem installing a new copy of windows through boot camp?   It seems to do so wouldn't be a clean install as I suspect that windows 7 is still on the drive somewhere. I've tried to follow the path the file I listed above, but nothing comes up.  I'm almost certain  it was accidentally deleted completely from the hard drive as it was quarantined while using Clam X anti-virus. I'm a relatively new mac user and long time PC user, but a computer genius I am not. I don't want to have to reformat the whole mac machine and lose my current files, etc.
I've uninstalled vmare completely and reinstalled, it, but the problem persists.
    Any help?

You will probably get a better response asking this question in VMWare's forums for Fusion.
    Best of luck.

...iTunes.exe - Bad Image ...iTunes c:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Apple Apple Application Support\CoreADI.dll is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error .....
Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7,now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP,head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

  • I receive the follwing error message when trying to open my ipod touch/itunes "the itunes libary.itlfile is lockedon  a lockdisk or you do not have write permission on this file. How do I resolve this problem?

I receive the follwing error message when trying to open my ipod touch/itunes "the itunes libary.itlfile is lockedon  a lockdisk or you do not have write permission on this file. How do I resolve this problem?

    Repair iTunes Security Permissions
Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Securitytab and click Advanced. Use the Change Permissions... button grant to your account (or the Users group) and SYSTEM full control of this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to Replace permissions entries... which will repair permissions throughout the library. When complete switch to the General tab, click in the Read-only check box to clear it, then click Apply.
If you don't have the option to change the permissions then use the Owner tab and Edit... button to take ownership from an account with administrator privileges. Tick the option to Replace owner on subcontainers and objects.
Repeat with the media folder if it isn't stored inside the main iTunes folder.
If you've brought over the library from another computer you may also want to remove any "mystery" identities (S<string of dashes & digts>) that have come over from the old computer...
The images above are from Windows 7. Hopefully the system isn't too different in Windows 8.
