Error message when configuring Sync
I downloaded Desktop 6.0, since I have Outlook 2010 (32 bit) on Windows 7. When I click Configure Settings under Synchronization, it pops up a window of "Determining the root configuration name for main system...", then pops up a small window, labeled as Intellisync, with "Unknown error reported". Cannot get past this.
This is when trying to configure synchronization for organizer. Media sync worked just fine, but this is a WORK phone. Need my email, please.

Actually, no. You call your carrier tech support and they will work with you on this. If they cannot, they should suggest AND you should ask for the issue to be escalated up to RIM level tech support.
Meanwhile, some few others are seeing this issue.
Just a few questions: can you please confirm that Desktop Manager 501 has been uninstalled from your machine?
Also, if you could please provide the following logs to investigate this issue, that would be a great help:
Three log files: pttrace.log, tif.log and synchronize.log are required.
To get these logs:
Open iloptcfg.cfg. which is found at %APPDATA%\Research in Motion\BlackBerry\Intellisync
Edit the following values:
MultiJobTraceLog = 99
TifLog = 99 (needs to be added)
Synchronize logs are located in the temp directory
LoggingFilter = 1 (only needed if testing filters. If it is not in the file, you can add it under the [ilwin] section)
Save and close this document.
When the you click Synchronize now, three files will be created in the same directory: PtTrace.log, tif.log and synchronize.log

Restart your computer and the iPhone. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons together for 10+ seconds, ignoring the red power-off slider, until you see the Apple logo. It is safe to do, there should be no content loss. It is the same as rebooting your computer.

In the last few days when I start my computer, I get a box that opens with "AppleSyncNotifier.exe" Entry Point Not Found in the title.
It says: "The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQlite3.dll.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and still get an error message when trying to sync my phone with iTunes
"iTunes could not back up iPhone ####, because a session could not be started with the iPhone."
The last time I tried to sync my phone (iPhone 3G S) with iTunes, everything seemed to freeze up at Stage 4 of the sync process.
Any advice????With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Reboot and see if all is well
In case that your OS is Windows 7 (64 bit)
1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
3. Open new windows explorer, to to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
4. Paste file "SQLite3.dll" to the location.
5. Reboot your computer, it should not display that message, it should be clear.

You can try going to iTunes with your device connected, select your device, then click view, show duplicate items

I downloaded the icloud software on my computer in order to sync calenders and contacts using Windows 2007, but I keep getting an error message when trying to sync my icloud and Outlook calendars. I downloaded it for the first time a month ago and had it working but it stopped syncing, so I deinstalled the iCloud software and reinstalled, but keep getting the error message "Your setup couldn't be started because of an unexpected error. What do I do now? Can anyone help with this?

Error messages when trying to sync large files.
My 8GB Touch seems to have problems syncing large files, namely movies. I get at least one of these three error messages when trying to sync:
The iPod cannot be synced. The required disk cannot be found.
Attempting to copy to the disk failed. The device is not connected.
Attempting to copy to the disk failed. The disk could not be read from or written to.
It also isn't recognized in My Computer under Removable Storage. Any solutions to this problem? I'd really like to get my movies and TV shows synced.
I have a 30GB iPod video that works just fine.I have been getting the same error as well, but I have 2 friends that own the same exact iPod touch model, and they don't have problems transferring 14 gigs in one session. If apple doesn't have a solution, I would recommend sending it in for repair, because it's an extremely annoying error that seems to not have any solution. The same thing happens on my brand new iMac as well.

Why do I get an error message when trying to sync my ipads with my imac
We have two ipads - version 2 I think - the last ones with the old style plug. Both are running IOS 7.1.1 Over the last week, every time I try to sync either ipad with my imac (27" - about 18 months old) which is running OSX 10.9.2 I get the following error message. "The Ipad cannot be synced. An unknown error has occurred (1723)" In every case it takes a while for the error message to appear - the sync gives every impression of rolling along just fine through the various steps - when it reaches step 5 of 6 (syncing photos) it seems to hang up, then after a while the error message shows up.
Interestingly, there are no photos on the ipad, so nothing to sync to the imac, but I discovered all of this when I tried to sync some photos in the other direction, from iphoto to one of the ipads. All I got was the pin wheel of death. I am running the most current version of iphoto too.
Any suggestions on how to fix this would be gratefully accepted.Can you create a test Project in PrE 9 and does that work. If so, close that Project and then Open it again in PrE 9.
It could be as simple as your PrE 8 Projects just not Opening in PrE 9. There is often forward compatibility, but not always. It is usually best to finish Projects in the version, in which they were started.

After updating my iPhone 3GS with the newest iOS and restoring it, I now get this message when trying to sync the iPhone 3GS

Will this cause problems? ThanksSame problem here! Moreover, for some reason, the pictures in my iPhone 3GS somehow have been divided into 2 folders, Photos and Medialibrary. And when I open iPhone as a folder through the explorer I can see only the Photos folder, but cannot see the Medialibrary folder which stores the photos taken before updating/upgrading the iPhone and getting separated folders!!! What the hack with all of this?!!! When I connect iPhone to PC it automatically opens iTunes and starts syncronizing it, but at the process of OPTIMIZING the photos (and according to the number of photos it shows, I see that it tries to syncronize that invisible Medialibrary folder) the process suddenly stops and error message pops out Tried the sync test, tried the button DEBUG in that pop out message, but NOTHING HELPS!!! Also, when I open the Medialibrary in my iPhone, the screen get sblack all through scrolling it down, only the video clips are shown there... >.<
So, could you, apple developers, please, explain WHAT THIS PROBLEM IS ABOUT?!!!!!! FIX IT! I am getting ****** of to spend hours at the computer and reading those lame advises which do not help at all! I have my own things to do except reading your support websites. And I payed for the product ready to use, but not a halfproduct which problems should further be solved somehow by users.. -
IPod error message when trying to sync contacts

When I try syncing my iPod Touch, it comes up with the error message: "iTunes could not sync contacts to the iPod because the iPod disconnected." When I turn off contact syncing, the sync works just fine, but then all of my contacts remain out-of-date. Has anybody else encountered/solved this problem?Yes, I had the exact same problem. I called technical support and they could not help me. But I solved it independently, while on the phone with support .... they didn't know why this worked - go figure!
sorry - I'm not on that computer at the moment, so I don't have the exact lingo but here goes:
I have multiple categories in my address book. For some reason when I specified to sync only those that were checked (as opposed to the whole group) I checked each and every category in my address book. This sync worked like a charm.

I seem to get error messages when I try to sync with itunes. I have the iphone 3G. Also all my music and videos seem to have carried across, all except one, it's very odd. Latest error message reads:
"itunes could not connect with the itunes store. An unknown error occurred (11556)."
I have also an error message saying it cannot sync and error message number 0050.

This error is associated with ringtones, are you trying to sync a ringtone, purchase a ringtone...need more info...
