Error message when creating new video

Cannnot create a new video i get a error message i have imovie 10.3 says : Operation cannot be completed , No other information is available about the problem.

If you get this message when you click on the create button and no window opens then I would trash iMovie preferences, reboot and relaunch iMovie in that order.

When I create a new pantone then double click on it in the swatches panel I get the following error message:

I've checked the folder and the acb file is there so I don't understand why it is not recognising it?

Where is says 'fetching' that usually says 'imac user' when i check permissions on other files, it is my login name.

Error message when creating new document

I am using Photoshop CS5 on OSX 10.6.8. When I try to create a new file or copy and paste within an open file, I receive this error message: "This is not a valid Portable Document File (PDF) document. It cannot be opened." This does not occur when opening files, only when creating a new document or working within an open document. I have tried deleting preferences and resetting all warning messages but nothing has worked. Help!

My first guess would be that something is busted with your global PDF handling, meaning OSX' own Preview and printer stuff. I believe there's an option to turn off this behavior that Apple introduced with OSX 10.6.x, but as a non-Mac person I can't be more specific than that....

"Multiple Validation errors" message when creating new project in FCPX

As a test I have now managed to change the file format from older quicktime file to .m4v and import into FCPX. I had to use Handbrake to change the file format to .m4v. If a free software can do this then why can't the $300 FCPX - and allow me to import directly? This would save me MANY hours of extra work!
But then, when I try and edit this - first trying to create a new project I get the message "Multiple validation errors occurred" The same message even if I try and custon settings rather than use the default
Does this mean that after all the work and hours it took me to tarnscode the file format, import and then render etc - I will be unable to use FCPX - to edit this footage?

Update on trying to create a new project - and getting "Multiple Validation errors" message
I quit FCPX and tried to use iMovie to make a clip to send to you. Decided against this - and so I opened FCPX again
To my surprise there were now over ten projects - as every attempy had appeared! This is bizarre - why did they not show up when I tried to create them first?
So, I had to delet most and just use one. This appears to be working as a project and is allowing me to edit clips into it.
It will be a reall bummer though if I have to do this every time I need to create a new project!

Increase the size of SYSAUX tablespace in the CREATE DATABASE statement.
The SYSAUX tablespace needs to be at least 240 MB at the time of database creation. The space requirements of the SYSAUX tablespace will increase after the database is fully deployed
Also the size of the system tablespace should be more and not to 30 MB as in your case

Error message when connecting 80GB Video iPod

I'm getting this error message when trying to connect my 80GB Video iPod:
"The iPod (name) cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-48)."
Never seen this one before.
I haven't synced this iPod for a few weeks but it always behaved fine before, taking a few seconds to appear in iTunes (v7.5) then syncing perfectly when I hit the Sync button (I have it set to manually sync only because sometimes I want to change the contents or only sync music).
Before syncing on this occasion, I did an iPod software update via iTunes - iTunes said there was a newer version (1.2.3). After the update, I disconnected the iPod for a few minutes (somehting I wanted to check content before syncing), then reconnected it. At first iPod took about a minute to show up in iTunes - way too long. I Reset the iPod and tried again but still LONG delay to appear in iTunes (again about 1 minute). I did another Reset - same result. Then I did a complete Restore, after which syncing to restore the contents gave problems - it refused to finish the sync. I had to disconnect and start again, syncing the data one section per sync session - Contacts, music, videos, iCal - which seemed to work fine. Then I disconnected, waited a few minutes then reconnected the iPod to check. It wouldn't connect at all. Did a Reset, tried o connect again and it did connect but then proceeded to resync all my contacts taking almost 30 minutes (way too long) to do so (I had made NO changes in Address Book since that data was put in there). I tried to reconnect again but then got the error message (above). Did another total Restore and the same shenannigans happened. Now, I have an iPod with data on it and works fine, but iTunes won't recognise it - just gives this error message every time.
By the way, my 8GB Nano (software 1.1.3) seems to sync fine on the same system, same computer.
Could this be the 1.2.3 iPod software giving issues? I appreciate any help because I also use this iPod for recording for my work, which getting a little urgent now.

Thanks Zevoneer, but no real success. I did all that but when I tried to sync after it, it got partially through the sync (about 10% I'd guess) and presented an error message saying that the disk couldn't be read form or written to (sorry but I forgot the error number). I disconnected the iPod, waited a few minutes then reconnected and again got the message but then the ipod continued to finish the sync, even though almost all of the music and 2 of my 4 videos didn't go over to the iPod. I'm now thinking that this just isn't satisfactory reliability from the device since I use it a lot in my work and rely on it. But this new iPod is only a few months old, had very little use and only made about 12 recordings - In comparison, I've used the Nano heaps but now want to move over to the bigger one, basically for more capacity and bigger screen for video. I wonder if it's a hard drive failure in this iPod?

Error message when creating a Master File

I have finished editing a multicam clip of a graduation ceremony which is an hour and 27 minutes long. Clients are anxiously awaiting the DVDs/BR discs.
There are six "Rotation" and one "Ribbon" titles and 21 chapter markers in the timeline. None of the chapter markers are placed in a transition.
I'm using 10.0.8 FCPX and OS 10.6.8.
I've tried to create Master File in order to use Toast 11 titanium to make a Blu Ray disc but I've had the following message appear twice midway through the process:
The operation could not be completed because an error occurred when creating frame 152526 (error -1).
Any suggestions as to what I might do to resolve this will be greatly appreciated. Or is there is another method to create a Blu Ray disc, I'd appreciate info.

Go to Preferences and turn off Background Rendering.
Select your project in the library and in the File menu, click on Delete project Render Files; choose All when prompted. Select your event and do the same with the event Render files. In the project use the range tool to select a short section. Try to export that as a test. Don't render before you export.
If that doesn't work, copy the project and paste it into a fresh project. Try another export test.
If that doesn't work, create a new user account.
As for Blu Ray, there is a Share preset if want to check it out. Very simple menus. And the preset can only handle single tracks.

Buffering table not up to date error message when creating a Cart

Hi Folks,
We are getting a 'Buffering table not up to date' error message when attempting to create a Cart. The error message only happens to the one end user ID only with the others not getting this error, therefore suggesting that my SRM org plan set-up is correct.
Has anyone come across this previously and what checks are available in the system to resolve this? As mentioned, the attribute check is okay and I have also removed the user ID from the SRM org plan and reassigned again but this has not corrected the problem. We are on SRM 5.

Error message when downloading new itunes

I get an error message when trying to download the new version of iTunes. It says I need to contact my systems administrator because I dont have authorisation. I have already uninstalled itunes and deleted it from my programmes but neither of these have worked. please help!

"Macros in this project are disabled..." error message when creating PDF files

The following error occurs when creating a PDF file using a document that was created from a MS Word 2007 templates.
"Macros in this project are disabled..."
The security settings are set appropriately - it's not that. I have done everything I can think of including asking Microsoft; they say it's not them. It may not be, but I do not know how to get around it. It did not happen before upgrading my templates to the Office 2007 format.
Has this happened to anyone else? There is no coding within th etemplates regartding PDFs. We are using Adobe Professional X. The error only occurs when we use Adobe Pro X.
One thing I just noticed, our templates get the following message when we go to save as a PDF using Adobe:
Acrobat PDFMAker needs to save the file before continuing. Do you want PDFMaker to save the file and continue?

Does it work the first time after you delete your Normal.dotm file? You may be running into the same issue that is detailed in this post Unable to open document. Please check to see if you have read permission for the above file.

Error message when syncing new iphone

I am unable to sync my new i phone. every time I try an error message pops up and says you do not have the privilage to make changes.
Any suggestions???

I actually figured it out a while ago.
Turns out it is not an issue with the iPhone or iTunes.
By process of elimination I deduced it could be a permissions issue with the hard drive and/or folder that holds the contents of my Music Library.
For example, if the "Sharing & Permissions" settings (found in the "Get Info" Window) are set to "Read Only" on the internal or external drive that contains your Music Library for iTunes then you can not write to the disk. Therefore, you do not have privelges to make changes to the internal or external drive and you get the error message when you try to sync with the information on that drive.
Here's the kicker and million dollar questions:
How did the "Sharing & Permissions" settings get changed on my Hard Drive without me doing it?
Why did my iPhone sync fine yesterday and suddenly today the Hard Drive is doing this?
I have to set all priveleges to all drives to "Read & Write" and that just doesn't seem very secure to me.
