Error message when downloading new itunes

I get an error message when trying to download the new version of iTunes. It says I need to contact my systems administrator because I dont have authorisation. I have already uninstalled itunes and deleted it from my programmes but neither of these have worked. please help!

If I go to that library I try to make it so it isn't read only but it remains that way way when I look back in the file. You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

Continuing to get error message when downloading new OS

Trying to download the iTunes update 10.0.5 and an error message continues to pop up. The error message reads, "An error has occured while downloading the updates. (102)." How can I fix this and successfully download the update?

It appears Apple’s download servers are ‘overwhelmed’ today. I couldn’t download the newest iTunes update or IOS 7 and there are a lot of discussions today about not being able to download. One poster said they had chatted with App Store support who confirmed the problem. This link worked for me.

Error 1311 when downloading new iTunes

Everytime I tried to download a new song, or even transfer songs from one computer to another, the computer said I had to update my iTunes. So I tried to, and everytime I do, it gets pretty far then says :Error 1311 File not found ( see the picture below) The bad thing is, it has deleted my old version, it got that far into the process. How can I fix this??

Not the iPad - your computer must be running iTunes 10.7 in order to sync. It has nothing to do with iTunes on the iPad.

I keep getting two different error messages when downloading Itunes, first one says: An error occured during the installation of assembly "Microsoft.VC80.CRT,type="win32",version="8.0.507276195".publicKeyToken="1fc8b9 a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT : 0x80070002.
The second said: Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficiant priviledges to start system services.

I had this problem for about six weeks. I was following this forum but was too unsure of what might happen to try the fixes that were suggested.
About two weeks ago I decided to delete the downloads.28.sqlitedb file (usingDiskAid(a free program), on a PC running Windows 7). The original downloads.28.sqlitedb was 936 KB. The new one that the system created is 80 Kb., and has stayed at about that size. After about four days I also deleted all the other contents of the Download folder. Ten days later and still no more problems. Downloads are much quicker, nothing greys-out (as was happening frequently before).
Everything has worked well since with no more error messages.
I am using an iPod 4G, iOS 5.1 (originally iOS 5.0). I do not have a manifest file, and as far as I know, have not had one. DiskAid can search the whole "hard drive" on the iPod.
Deleting downloads.28.sqlitedb and the contents of Downloads worked for me.

I believe that we are aware of the update issue however, it is ultimately the carrier/ manufacturer to provide updates. Please contact the respective company for assistance.
