I am trying to download new version of iTunes from App store having purchased it on my laptop. When I try to download on my iMac I get the following message:
Error message when I try to download new iTunes as follows: iPhoto 7.1.5 is already installed and was not purchased from the Mac App Store - and then I am asked if I want to buy it again. I don't understand the error message and I don't want to purchase the new version again.
Also, since upgrading to Lion my videos (from Sanyo Xacti camera) do not play on iTunes. I can only open photos.

I have a 2006 iMac that I've upgraded to each new os as they came out. I just wiped it (for the kids to use, I have a new iMac with Mavericks) and reintalled Tiger from the original discs. I want to get it back to Lion - which I purchased from the Mac App Store. But Tiger doesn't have the App Store and I don't have the discs anymore from the intermediate versions. I am recieving an error message when I try to copy new files (images, documents) to mac from flash drive/SD card. The message is saying "operation cannot be completed because an item already exists with that name." They are brand new therefore not the same name? I cannot even put them in a brand new folder... How can I fix this?

Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.
Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press the space bar:
dot_clean -m
Switch to the Finder and drag the icon of the flash drive into the Terminal window. Some text will appear after what you entered. Press return.
The command may take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear. Then quit Terminal and try the copy again. -
I have a Macbook Pro. I just purchased Acrobat Pro DC and keep getting an error message when I try to download, saying I need to contact support. I've eliminated previous versions of the application because they were US-based versions and I'm now living in Australia. I checked Flash and it seems to be installed correctly. what am I doing wrong?

I keep getting the following error message when I try to update my itunes, "There is a problem with this windows installer package. Aprogram run as part of the set up did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."
Yes, I had found a similar solution also. I'm running XP Pro, SP3. I went Control Panels/ Add-Remove programmes/apple software update/ change/ repair. Then run the 10.5 exe.
While the programme updated from version 8 of iTunes, my new iTunes is now a mess. Not all of my music was in the same folder previously but it all showed up on iTunes. Now many albums have been left out, some have only a few tracks and some have two copies of some tracks as well as having other tracks missing. I haven't begun to work on that. -
Just bought a new Imac OX 10.9. Installed contents from previous Time Machine. All looks good. But, now, when I try to open any file downloaded from interent (like the Amazon mp3 downloader, for example or a plugin update) I get this message:

I traied to remove cookies and still don't working.Regretably, none of the above solutions has resolved this problem for me.
Whenever I try to perform updates (in my case, Xcode and iPhoto both want to update), I receive the following error:

(of course, I am not trying to purchase anything, it is a free update)
If I press Retry, the above repeats until I press Cancel, then I see:
We could not complete your request.

I have been "trying again later" for three weeks now, with no resolution in sight. -

You can change the settings in Security & Privacy to "Anywhere"...
That should work... as to whether the printer driver will work, that's another question.

Error 100 trying to download an App from the Mac App Store
Hi,
Every time I try to download an App from the Mac App Store I obtain a message that says that it has ocurred and error with the apple store (Error 100).
After that, i obtain a second message that says "Tour Apple ID has been deactivated".
I can not download any app to my new MacBook Air.

MartínI found that this error occurred when trying to purchase Aperture via the new App Store. I had previously downloaded the trial version via the old Apple store and having it and its installed folders on my hard disk prevented the App store from letting me purchase.
So, if you have a trial version, trash it, and trash the related folders in your user Library and also the Aperture project folder (wherever you saved it), typically in the Pictures folder.
Then try to purchase. Voila! -
I have upgraded to Lion, and want to upgrade my iPhoto 8.1.2, but when I try it says it was not purchased at a MAC Apple store, which it was. Then it asks if I want to buy 9.2.3, and I say yes. It responds with Product Distribution file can't be verified. Maybe damaged or not signed. How do I get this fixed, so I can download the new iphoto's that are available.
How did you move your iPhoto library to the new system? the recommended way is Connect the two Macs together (network, firewire target mode, etc) or use an external hard drive formed Mac OS extended (journaled) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old Mac to the pictures folder of the new Mac - launch iPhoto on the new mac and it will open the library and convert it as needed and you will be ready move forward.

I get the message "Install Adobe Flash" can't be opened because it was not downloaded from the Mac App Store. This is the first time I have gotten the message. What do I need to do?

you'll need to edit the security settings to install programs 'Mac App Store and identified developers'
Open the Systems Preference and go to Security & Privacy. There will be a section in the 'General' tab for 'Allow apps downloaded from:" The default selection is 'Mac App Store'. Change this setting to 'Mac App Store and identified developers".
This screenshot is taken on OS X 10.10 (Yosemite), so it may look slightly different if you're on a different OS X version.

I baught an app from the mac app store that is damadged. When I open the app it says to delete it and redownload it, but when I open the launch pad and hold down on the app there is no x beside it. I also cant drag it into the trash.
