Error message when I want to update itunes in my miniMac?
Whz I get an error message when I want to update iTunes. at first, all go well and in half of the download, it cut and says: error...
what should I do?

Yes, I had found a similar solution also. I'm running XP Pro, SP3. I went Control Panels/ Add-Remove programmes/apple software update/ change/ repair. Then run the 10.5 exe.
While the programme updated from version 8 of iTunes, my new iTunes is now a mess. Not all of my music was in the same folder previously but it all showed up on iTunes. Now many albums have been left out, some have only a few tracks and some have two copies of some tracks as well as having other tracks missing. I haven't begun to work on that. -
I updated my itunes to 11 and found out my phone and ipod were not compatible. I uninstalled it and reinstalled 10.7 but now I get an error message when I try to open itunes saying "the file cannot be read because it was created by a newer verison" What do I do?
Thank you for clarify I'm supposed to read the ENTIRE article. I thought I was just supposed to read the title and magically everything will fix itself. I appreciate you taking the time to help me however I do not appreciate the caps and the way you have addressed the situation. If you are not going to kindly help people/make suggestions just don't try! And for the record my conclusions are not illogical, the iOS7 thing is on the website in small font (which I got by reading the ENTIRE thing) and you should really find a new hobby because your socialization skills need some help! I am trying to update my iTunes to 10.5.1 so that I can upgrade my 3GS phone but am getting the following error message when trying to install the itunes: Install step failed: Run pre upgrade script for apple mobile device support. Contact software manufacturer for assistance. I am on a MacBook pro running 10.5.8 OS. Has anyone seen this before and how can I get it resolved.

this morning I received the following error message when the iPhone connected to iTunes: i
tunes could not check for an update to the carrier settings for your iphone. an unknown error occurred (1635)
any ideas? thxI get the same error (although in Dutch ;-)).
It also says something like (I'm translating): "Make sure your network settings are correct and your networkconnection is active or try again later." Is there a way to find out these "correct networksettings"?
I now get it for a week, eacht time I connect my iPhone to itunes... -

do they play in your itunes at the moment?
were they purchased through your iTunes Music Store account, or were they purchased by someone else (and your PC has been authorised to play songs from that account?) -
My Ipad is not responding. It has the small apple in the middle of the screen with the little "thinking" flower symbol surrounding it, and does not respond to restoring. We received an error message when trying to restore from itunes.

Check the App to see what Apple ID it is associated with. If it is with another Apple ID, you would need to delete it and download it with your current Apple ID.

Have a firewall, check that Thunderbird has full internet access, not some Auto rubbish that somehow fails. -
