Thanks, Ed WilliamsTo Remove plug-in
1.) Open the SplashID desktop app
2.) Navigate from Menu bar "File" -> "Plugin for Safari" -> "Uninstall".
I could not find it in either Library/Internet Plug-ins nor ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins as others have suggested.

I get an error message when I open Lightroom
I get an error message when opening Lightroom"Lightroom has encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit.
Lightroom will attempt to fix this problem the next time it launches" the problem does not correct when re opening lightroomAre you getting the exact same message as was stated in the first message in this thread? Have your operating system search for a file whose name ends with .LRCAT, but do not delete this file. Delete the Previews.LRDATA that is in the same folder.
Or are you getting a different message? -
I get this message when I open Firefox and when I go between tabs.

I have tried to re-install, but that doesn't help.If you close Firefox, then start Firefox in Safe Mode, does the problem still occur? For instructions on starting in Safe Mode, see [[Safe Mode]].

I keep getting this error message when I open iPhoto '11
A photo has been found in the iPhoto library that was not imported. Would you like to import it? No matter what I do, Yes or No, it still pops up at launch and keeps creating Recovered Image Folders without images in them. Any ideas how to find these 2 files that have not been imported or at least how to get rid of the error message?
My folder called "Auto Import" instead of "Import"
I did what you mention above and I works perfectly!
Thanks,

We are running Windows 8.1 Pro x86
I am really curious as to why the drive restriction group policy causes the error message to pop up:
"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."
It does not prevent from actual saving so functionality is not lost but it really annoys our end users and we're getting a lot of complaints. We cannot use the workaround of hiding drives instead of restricting as this still presents security issues. This
is happens when saving (or clicking on a button like "Browse" that opens the 'Open' dialogue box) in all Office 2013 applications, Internet Explorer, Paint, Notepad, and probably most others. I've looked at many forums and no suggestions for workarounds
have succeeded for us to get rid of this error message and in fact, I read a post that stated that someone contacted Microsoft and they said this was by design and there is no workaround. I find this very unfortunate that we either have the choice of compromising
security or annoying our end users. It seems to me like the new dialogue box in Windows 8.1 (and maybe 8?) attempts to access the local drive under the logged in user's account before it actually opens up the dialogue box which conflicts with the group policy
that restricts access to the drive.
Has anyone at all had any luck getting this to go away without removing the restrictions? It seems like the answer is either buried in the Windows code or somewhere in the registry.
Thank you in advance for your time!Thank you for your time and response! Unfortunately, we have the machine locked down pretty tight (they are public use computers that require heavy restriction) and it is set to restrict all drives so access is limited to the local profile. We did try
testing your method, however, by adding the Desktop as an allowed location in the Office policy (which would not solve the issue for the other applications but was good for a test) using the path %userprofile%\desktop. When choosing that location, it does
not throw the error but unfortunately, it does not remember like it did for your with the E: drive so it still always throws the error when first loading the dialogue box no matter what I do. If you're able to confirm that this is simply by design and we're
just expected to inform our users to click through the errors, then I guess that's the accepted answer. Although, do you think that there might be a registry key value that is set after you save to the E: drive for the first time? Maybe we could set that value
to %userprofile%\desktop if it's doing the redirection after the first save through registry. Thanks again! -
When I open iTunes I keep getting a error message asking me to reinstall iTunes 64 bit version. I have reinstalled but still get the message. Does anyone know a fix for this?
This is obviously a problem apple! Please look at your community boards and see that a number of people have issues with the latest update and sort out.
I have tried a number of times to install the update and have failed getting the same message as you. Tried with the 32 bit instead & no luck. Ive come on here to see if anyone else has a solution & found we all have the same problem. Someone else tried the old uninstall reinstall trick to no avail. Please sort this out apple!! -
Error message when I open Logic Express 7
Hi!
When I opened Logic Express 7 today, I got an error message, telling me that Logic had problem with the file com.apple.logic.express.cs.
I then searced the net and found out that the problem could be solved if I deleted that file, so I tried that (I didn´t deleted it, but just removed it to the trash, so I could replace it back if Logic wasn´t fixed with the file removed). And Logic was still not working. No sound when I tried to play back my songs or when I tried to play with the audio instruments. So now I have just replaced back the com.apple.logic.express.cs file, since that did not seemed to be the problem.
I also tried to remove the com.apple.logic.SetUpAssistant.standard.plst file, but that did not seem to help either.
Have anyone here experienced the same problem?
PS. Why is the solution to remove those files to get it work, when they are ment to be there in the first place?
Best from Asle
Composer/guitarist from NorwayHi!
Thank you for the answer!
Will all the songs I have made in Logic be safe and still be 100 % as before if I reinstall Logic?

What OS do you run? Can you provide connection code and

Lastly, what version of Dreamweaver did you create your pages

Why does the following message appear when i start up safari and how do I stop it?
Error message is:

We are sorry, but the browser version you are currently using does not support the community toolbar.
This only started to appear since installing updates. No problem.
Open a Finder window. Select your MacintoshHD in the Sidebar on the left.
On the right open the Library folder.
Now open the Application Support / InputManagers / Receipts folders. Move the files in *bold" I posted before to the Trash.
Then in that same Finder window select your Home Folder in the Sidebar. It has a small house icon.
Then open the Library folder then the Application Support folder. Move the Conduit file to the Trash.
When you are finished, relaunch Safari. -

Waiting for reply.Eneas,
This is a case of file corruption.
One thing often tried first is to create a new document and File>Place the (PDF contents, if any, of the) corrupted one to see how much may be rescued that way.
Here are some websites where you can see whether it can rescue the actual file, and if it can, you may pay for a subscription to have it done,
http://www.recoverytoolbox.com/buy_illustrator.html
http://markzware.com/adobe-software/fix-illustrator-file-unknown-error-occurred-pdf2dtp-fi le-recovery/
http://www.illustrator.fixtoolbox.com/
As far as I remember, the first one is for Win and the second one is for Mac, while the third one should be for both.
Here are a few pages about struggling with it yourself:

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/500/cpsid_50031.html
http://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/enable-content-recovery-mode-illustrator.html
External media: It is always recommended here to open/save from/to own hard disk, and to copy from/to networks and removable media. You may be lucky (for a while), but the chances of file corruption and other unpleasantnesses are immensely greater when you use anything but the harddisk, and it is better to be safe than sorry.
In addition to the (far greater) risk of file corruption, some issues are mentioned here:
