Error message when launch ACU

Hi Sir,
I installed ACU 6.4 on my laptop. Whenever I would like to launch ACU, the following message appears
Error message:
You must upgrade your NDIS Driver to use all of the capabilities of this version of ACU!
Attached are the screenshots of the error message and my current ACU status.
Please advise what I should do next.

When you upgrade your client adapter's firmware using ACU, the Automatically Load New Firmware When NDIS Driver Is Updated parameter on the Aironet Client Utility Preferences screen becomes disabled (or unchecked) automatically to prevent the newly loaded firmware from being overwritten by the driver. If you ever want to enable this parameter, you must recheck the check box

Uninstalled Old PS Versions - Now Get "One Or More File. . .etc" Error Message When Launching PS CC

I just unistalled PS C3 through 6 on my computer leaving only PS CC for use going forward. Having done this I now get this error message when launching PS CC: "One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder, necessary for running Photoshop, are missing. Please run the Photoshop installer and re-install Photoshop." The thing is PS CC still appears to be working okay once that error message is cleared. How can I get rid of that error message? I can't reinstall using the CC Updater because it still sees PS CC on the system thus it won't install another copy. I'd just as soon not uninstall it and I'm not sure that would fix the issue anyway.
Any ideas?

You can uninstall PS CC through the Control Panel in windows/Utilities in MAC & the reinstall PS CC.

Because the .desktop file is part of the upstream source, it's always created as part of the build procedure.
I did not mean "what is the direct cause of the icon". I meant "why did the maintainers choose to include the icon when there is no GUI application to link it to" (see below).
I don't see why there is an issue with these optional dependencies at all, the deluge wiki page is perfectly clear on the subject.
The issue is that a broken `.desktop` file is being added. The fact of the matter is that if both Deluge and some window manager have been installed, `pygtk` should become a mandatory dependency. Unfortunately, pacman is not capable of that kind of reasoning.
See an earlier post of mine for some more general problems I have with the pacman dependency system.

Error message when launching PowerPivot Window using Excel 2010

I have installed the latest version of Powerpivot on several of our workstations. Some of them are running the application just fine and some of them are getting an intermittent error message when trying to launch the PowerPivot Window.
We are running Windows 7 ENT 32bit with Office 2010 32bit
The error message given is : An operation that uses the database driver could not be completed. If the driver is a Microsoft driver, make sure the drvier file isn't damaged, and if it is, reinstall the driver by re-installing Microsoft Query.
You can then try again and it will work.
In fact the majority of the time this error message won't appear.
The application has been removed and reinstalled.
When I checked event viewer i'm finding this error which I think is related

It's just a guess: Power Pivot uses the MSOLAP = "Microsoft OleDB Provider for OLAP" and maybe that Provider is damaged on the machine. You may try to reinstall the Provider, you can get the installer named "SQL_AS_OLEDB.msi" from
Microsoft® SQL Server® 2012 SP2 Feature Pack =>
ENU\x86\SQL_AS_OLEDB.msi (for 32 bit)

What action can I take to eliminate the following error message when launching iTunes?

Since the iTunes upgrade last week I persistently get the following message when launching iTunes. "You are signed in with a different Apple ID than previously used with Podcasts. Do you want to sync these podcast subscriptions and stations with ------------ "
I only have one Apple ID of which I am aware. I changed the password just before the update, after receiving an email advising access from a device that I did not recognise.
The error message goes on to refer to a Windows XP, desktop system as the previous platform for this synchronisation. I have been relying upon the old MacBook Pro since March, when iTunes on the Desktop crashed. I gave up trying reinstallation etc. on the desktop as nothing appeared to resolve the problem. I have "uninstalled" the application in Windows but lack the necessary skills to remove all traces. I still get error messages about iTunes when opening Windows XP but there is no evidence of application elements on the Hard Drive / System that I am able to recognise.
iTunes appears to lack a process for updating to recognise that the current platform should be the default.

Try signing out of iTunes, then back in again. This worked for me and a few others. To sign out, in the iTunes menu bar, click "Store" > "Sign Out".

NIPALU.dll entry point error message when launching application

A previously working application (written in VB6.0, using Measurement Studio 6 and NI-IMAQ1394) now has a fatal error message when starting:
"The procedure entry point _pkgModulePackageEventLog@20 could not be located in the dynamic link library NIPALU.dll".
This fatal error is only observed on some of our customers' systems, others work fine after the upgrade. WE NEED URGENT HELP!

Error message when launching updated iTunes

After updating to iTunes 11, I've been unable to launch iTunes on my computer. (I'm using Windows 7 Home)
When I try to open iTunes, I'm shown an error message that looks like this:
Any idea what could be wrong? I've tried uninstalling iTunes and all its components, re-starting the computer, and re-installing but I still have the same error. Also, I've reparing to no avail.

Reboot, delete the iTunes folders in C:\Program Files and/or C:\Program Files (x86) if they still exist, then reinstall iTunes using an account with administrator rights. Hopefully this time it will work correctly.

Get error message when launching iTunes

Hi I have a problem with iTunes it's probaly my own fault but i hope someone in here know what i possibnly could do. I succesfully installed iTunes and used it for about two hours, then the electricity shut down in the house while iTunes was running. When i tried to start my PC again and launched iTunes i got an error message from windows, askin me if I wanted to send them a report of the problem.
i tried to uninstall iTunes and install it again, didnt work. I tried to clean my computer as good as icould clean registry run scan disc and so on, and then install it again no help didnt work.
Do you know what i possibly could do?

let's keep pushing our luck with the Windows troubleshooting techniques ... so far this is proceeding just like a standard PC troubleshoot ...
okay, that's the result that suggests that you've got a problem with the itunes preferences files in your usual XP User Account. there's a different set of preference files in each XP user account, which is why we can get this "crash in one account, launch in another" behavior.
if you've got damaged preference files, we can usually get past this by rebuilding the preference files in the usual account.
quit itunes. log out of the new account and back into the usual account.
find and delete the following two files:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes.pref
and
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes.pref
(“<username>” here will be the name of the account you’re having difficulties with.)
You might have to turn on "show hidden files" to find them. (Right click "my computer", select open, select Tools menu -> Folder Options. Select View tab, "show hidden files" radio button is in the center scrolling panel.) these will be rebuilt the next time you try to launch itunes in your usual user account.
(the itunes setup assistant will run, you'll be asked to agree to the license again, and so forth.)
after the setup assistant has finished, does itunes finish launching without the crash?

Error message when launching Illustrator CS5

IT deptartment just upgraded my PC to the Adobe Design Standard CS5. Whoohoo! I was working in Illustrator 9. Lots of new stuff to learn.
When I launch Illustrator or double-click on a document worked on earlier in the day, I'm getting an error message dialog box: "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert disk into drive D:"
The dialog box offers the choices of cancel, try again, or continue. No matter which option I try, the dialog box will not close for at least 4-5 attempts. Sometimes the "X" in the upper right corner of the dialog box will close it -- that takes 4 or 5 attempts also. Illustrator will be open, but at the back of my screen.
Any reccomendations for a cure?

Your IT department bunked up and didn't install correctly. It is looking for some files to finish the install. Have them try this again or insert the instal ldisk yourself and let it finish.

When launching crystal 10 I can not get past the following error. Any help is appreciated. I have reinstalled and still nothing.

If you have Crystal Reports (CR) 10 and when refreshing an existing report with linked tables, or when creating a new report and linking the tables, this error message "Crw32.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" appears, it means the file SACommonControls.dll is not registered properly.
CR 10 needs to have the copy of SACommonControls.dll in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\Bin folder registered.
To Register the Correct Version of SACommonControls.dll
1. Click the 'Start' button, and then click 'Run'.
2. Enter the following in the 'Open' combo-box:
Regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin\SACommonControls.dll"
3. Click 'OK'. A dialog box will appear indicating you have successfully registered the DLL. Click 'OK'.
Now, when you open reports with linked tables in CR 10 the error message will not appear.

I can't launch iTunes anymore - yesterday it worked fine. I get an error message <<iTunes cannot run because it has detected a problem with your audio configuration>>. I have de-installed and then reinstalled iTunes on my PC but it makes no difference. Any advice? Thanks!

Error message when launching Safari

Hi everyone,
I've never had this problem before yesterday and I'm not sure what happen. The only new thing I've done is update safari (like last week). When I try opening safari for windows I get an error message which makes no sense to me. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling safar for windows but no luck. Your thoughts/suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

hey i think iv solved it...
I un-installed and re-installed and bla bla bla,
so i discovered this folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\Mattie\Application Data\Apple Computer\Safari
i deleted all the files in there, clicked safari, and it is working!!!
although i lost all of my favorites etc, its working!
just replace Mattie (above) with your username!
think it should work!!!

Error message when launch Photoshop CS5

Every time I launch Photoshop CS5, I get the following error message: "One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder, necessary for running Photoshop, are missing. Please run the Photoshop installer and re-install Photoshop."
Re-installing Photoshop does not fix the problem. AFAICT, Photoshop runs normally despite the error message. I presume this message arose because I uninstalled an earlier trial version of Photoshop CS4 before installing CS5 for the first time.
Does anybody have an ideal how to fix this? Is it really a problem? What files should be in the Adobe Application Support folder?

What you could try is to uninstall CS5 and then run the Creative Suite Cleaner tool. Then reinstall CS5.

Getting an error message when launching Premiere Elements 11 trying to read from a disk.

Why is this message popping up? Clicking a few times thru Cancel or Continue lets you start working , butr the message appears again thru the use of the application.

When you did the installation from the download, did you also install SmartSound?
There also seems to be a little "glitch" WITH the installation of SmartSound, and it has been pointed out that one needs to go to the SmartSound Web site, download and install a patch for Sonicfire Pro (now the SmartSound module for the PrE plug-in).
The reason that I keep mentioning SmartSound is that several users have reported the same, or very similar error messages, if their installation of SmartSound has not completed 100%. There could well be other issues, that might cause the error, but I've now seen about 3, which DID relate to SmartSound. I would investigate that first, to either clear the error, or eliminate SmartSound as a possible cause.
