Error message when Sync from itunes.
I have 2 TVs, both have the latest update, iTunes 8, using AE for WIFI and both streaming. Both units have been working great for over a year now.
One of the unit is now freezing up after about 1hr of use... I get this error message from iTunes when trying to Sync the unit:
"The AppleTV is not responding.
Check that any firewall software running on this computer has been set to allow communication on port 3689."
Never got this message before, trying to figure out where could I find the setting for any firewall software.???
I reset my WIFI network (WEP)
I did a soft and hard reset of the TV.
Don't know what to do any more.... Might be the unit going bad but I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestion.
Here is my setup:
iTunes 8
AE for WIFI
latest update on TV
Sys Pref> Security>firewall> allow all incoming connections
PowermacG5, 10.5.5
Streaming from the G5
Thanks.

HELP! NEW 3G Error message when syncing to itunes
Has anyone ever seen this message? I just bought phone today, tried to sync for 1st time with just updated itunes and apple software and I get this message:
"APPLE MOBILE DEVICE HELPER HAS STOPPED WORKING!" The iphone icon will eventually show up on the left of iTunes, but does not sync or link. I cannot click on the phone icon to adjust any settings, its as if iTunes recoqnizes it but it does not fully register. I have removed itunes and all apple software twice from my computer and have re-installed it all! Still does not work! Been on hold with Apple for support now for an hour! HELP PLEASE!!!That sounds like a Vista Error message to me. I've received many "stopped working" messages for different programs and it is phrased just like that when Vista is having difficulty. I would make sure that you're logged on with an account that has Admin privileges. I run Vista on one of my machines as well, and I've learned that it can be real picky about things, and admin rights is one of them when it comes to running certain programs. Sometimes simply right clicking the program and opting to "Run as Administrator" will do the trick.

Hello All,
I have lost the ability to connect to itunes to update software and apps etc., My PC is giving me an error message of Ox800000A - apple says it may be a USB port problem. Has anyone else received this error problem and if so did you fix it and how?
The USB ports on my PC are working fine? Thanks in advance.Hi MarcusAH,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For troubleshooting on this, take a look at this article:
iOS: Unknown error containing '0xE' when connecting to a Windows PC

About unknown error 0xE800000a
When connecting your iOS device, iTunes might display an "unknown error 0xE800000a" when the contents of your lockdown directory are unusable. Do the following depending on your operating system:
Windows XP
Disconnect all iOS devices from your computer, and quit iTunes.
Open My Computer from the Start menu.
Choose Tools > Folder Options in the file browser window then click the View tab and change the "Hidden files and folders" option to "Show hidden files and folders."
Click OK.
Navigate to the following folder on your computer, noting that the drive letter can vary depending on which drive letter Windows starts from:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple
Move the Lockdown folder to the Recycle bin.
Reconnect your iOS device and open iTunes.
Windows Vista or Windows 7
Disconnect all iOS devices from your computer, and quit iTunes.
Open Computer from the Start menu.
Choose Organize > Folder and search options. In the file browser window, then click the View tab and change the "Hidden files and folders" option to "Show hidden files and folders."
Click OK.
Navigate to the following folder on your computer:
C:\ProgramData\Apple
Move the Lockdown folder to the Recycle bin.
Reconnect your iOS device and open iTunes.
Hope this helps,

ITunes displays -48 error message when syncing iPod Nano on Windows XP
My girlfriend's mom's iPod Nano ran out of charge while jogging so she decided to charge it on her daughter's iHome. The next day she went to use her iPod but it was totally empty of all music and files. When she tried to sync it to iTunes, she received an eror message stating, "An unknown error has occurred (-48)" from iTunes and a Windows message stating that some iPod folder/file was corrupted.
If anyone receives such a message, I was able to correct it by:
-Plugging in your iPod to your PC
-Ignore the error messages
-Go to My Computer
-Find your iPod's drive letter (ie. G:)
-Right-click on it and select Properties
-Go to Tools Tab >Error-checking and select Check Now
You should be able to sync your iPod as before. I do not claim to be an expert so be warned that it may not work for you. Good luck!Hey ermides,

Error message when connecting to iTunes says my new iPad 4 can't be connected as it requires version 10.7 or later. Surely a new iPad already has the latest version, and if it doesn't how do I get it?
Not the iPad - your computer must be running iTunes 10.7 in order to sync. It has nothing to do with iTunes on the iPad.
You can download iTunes for your computer here.
