Hello spk15,
The only suggestion I have to offer is to take a look at this Apple support document if you haven't done so yet.

  • Transferring music from itunes to ipod

Trouble transfering music from itunes to my iopd. have updated ipod but still having trouble.

OK so first thing is, is the iPod set for manual or auto updating? If you are using iTunes 7, click on the iPod icon in iTunes and check the settings. For earlier versions go to iTunes preferences and pick the iPod. Typically you have three choices, Auto Updating, Auto Updating of selected playlists only, and finally Manual updating.
And to clear up your confusion, yes, you can always import your own CDs and put that music on your iPod without restriction.

  • Problem arose when transfered music from desktop to ipod to new laptop

Please can someone help with my itunes library, this all began when i purchased a new lap top and transfered music files onto my ipod from my old computer(which i have done before and had great succsess). Now the problem began when i synced my ipod to new computer when certain files doubled and some did not. This happened with certain copied and original c.d's but not others ???
Meanwhile somehow, how it happened i do not know when i connected my ipod to old itunes library i lost all of my original files and blanked out my ipod ???
So what i have now is some duplicate albums and 4442 songs when there should be about 3100, how do i rid myself of these duplicates without doing it manually.
My computer knowledge is somewhat limited so please could i have a response in laymans terms thanx.
Also i can not seem to find my itunes folder which contains 20gb of stuff on my computer only a small portion of it is visible, and another thing as i have lost my old itunes file i suppose i have lost my playlists for good ?
Thank you for any help submitted.

  • Error message when transferring files from Adobe reader on iPad to Mac via iTunes

I use adobe Reader on my iPad Air for work and at the end of each day transfer the files to my Mac at home through iTunes. Lately i am getting an error message "file could not be copied because an error occurred. A duplicate file name was specified." I have updated everything i can think of..any suggestions?

Isn't the error message displayed by iTunes?  Can you check your Mac to see if there are actually duplicate files?
I'd recommend searching for an answer in the Apple Support Communities.

Please do let us know if the problem has started since the new update to Adobe Reader (version 11.3.0 or 11.3.1).  Thank you.

  • Transfering music from itunes to ipod touch

I bought my ipod touch about 8 months ago and I used to transfer music without creating an itunes library and every thing worked OK.  I updated my itunes and ipod software about a month ago and I have had nothing but problems.   I now use an itunes library and transfer my music from it to my ipod.   I just recently updated to the latest software and firmware and now I can't move any music from the library to the ipod.  I drag the song from the library to my device and let it go and it flashes a couple of times and that is it, nothing else.  Does anyone know what is going on?  Help!

There is a problem with itunes or maybe ios7. Most user can's transfer their music on any ios devices.
I have unistalled itunes and reinstalled it with no luck. As usual..... apple will wake up and fix this issue.
It sounds weird but every time apple releases new major upgrades there is always a BUG that ****** off users like you and I. But there is always a fix at the corner.

  • Error message when downloading rental from itunes to ipad

I purchased two rental movies on itunes and when I transfer to my ipad, it says they've already been downloaded to another computer or device (but they haven't been).  Anyone have experience with this problem?

  • Error message when downloading video from itunes

It keeps saying that my disk cannot be read or written to. I've already purchased the video (episode of the Office). Does anyone know what I can do to solve this? Thanks.

Easy way. Reset the iPod, then disconnect when you see the Apple logo.
Another way. Hold ctr-alt-del to bring up the Windows Task Manager. Go to the Processes tab and look for iTunesHelper.exe and iPodService.exe. Select them and hit the End Process button. Close the Windows Task Manager Window and try ejecting the iPod via the safely remove hardware method.
If you are still having problems you can try one more thing. Right click on the My Computer icon and select Manage from the list of actions. Go to the Services and Applications item and from there the services item. Double click on the services item to bring up the list of services currently installed on your computer. Look for the iPod Service and double click on it. From the new window select Stop. Now try again to eject using the safely remove hardware option.
Some anti-virus security software (particularly McAfee) can also cause a problem, and if you have this you might want to try turning it off and see if the iPod then ejects correctly.

  • Problems with transferring music from itunes to ipod

Hello, I've never had problems with iTunes but this issue amazes me! I emptied my whole iTunes Library the other day, and added a whole load of new songs. Then, when I was finished with my selection I connected my iPod Nano to USB portal at my pc. iTunes recognised the iPod and also said: bijwerken.. niet loskoppelen (moving files, don't disconnect). This takes 2 seconds and then it says the iPod is ready with transferring files.
Then I notice that no files where moved at all. My iPod is empty for two days now and It's killing me !! hehe, please help ?!
    Tom

I'm not sure if this is what you are after but Forum member Buegie has compiled a very extensive procedure for backing up your music which you'll find at this link: Backing up iTunes
You'll also find instructions here on uninstalling iTunes: Stepwise clean uninstallation of iTunes</a
I hope these are of some help, take care.

  • What am I doing wrong when transfering videos from itunes to iPod?

This is the message I am getting:
SOME OF THE VIDEOS IN YOUR ITUNES LIBRARY, INCLUDING THE VIDEO..., WERE NOT COPIED TO THE IPOD BECAUSE CANNOT BE PLAYED ON THIS IPOD.
I don't think I am doing anything wrong because I have used the same process for other videos and they play perfect.
These are the steps I take to tranfer my videos:
    1. Convert videos using VIDEORA iPod Converter
    2. Play the viedo on iTunes to make sure it was converted right.
    3. Update my iPod.

"the converted video plays, but without sound. it is the same on itunes and on the pod"
You are trying to convert a MPEG file that is Muxed. Please read on how to tell what file you have:

  • Transferring music from Itunes to Ipod Classic

I have an Ipod Classic with about 4,000 songs on it. If I sync my Ipod with my Itunes on my desktop, will I lose the songs already on my Ipod? Please help, I've been trying to figure this out for a long time. Also, do I need something like Media Widget to transfer music between Ipod and my desktop?

Instead of syncing your iPod automatically, change your settings to manually manage music on your iPod. Then just drag and drop the new music onto your iPod. That way you won't erase all of the music that is currently on your iPod.

Downloaded the new version of Itunes 11.0.2 (I think?) and now I cannot send purchased Itunes music to my Ipod classic (2009) bought in 2012.

Plug the device in and sync as you would do in any previous version of iTunes.
If there are issues, provide specifics if what is or is not happening.

  • When transferring songs from iTunes to phone it was doing it ok then all of a sudden it started to say iTunes cannot pick up information from phone restore to factory settings I am afraid if I do this I will loose all phone numbers pictures and songs anyo

When transferring music from iTunes to iPhone after about 3 downloads a message come up saying iTunes cannot get information from phone and I should restore phone to factory settings I do not wont to do this because I am worried I will loose all phone contacts ,pictures, and songs anyone know how I can resolve this

Not a good idea to depend on an iPhone or any cell phone alone for such important data, which can be lost or stolen or damaged beyond repair.
Contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book app on your computer and/or there are a number of free email accounts that support syncing contacts and other data over the air such as with an Apple iCloud account, Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail.
Photos/videos in the iPhone's Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.
In addition, contacts and photos/videos in the iPhone's Camera Roll are included with the iPhone's backup.
