Error message when trying to create a user account in WGM

In WGM, everytime I try to create a new account and save, this message appears:
*Got unexpected error*

What is that?
I tried to create the user accounts in Server Preferences/users but I can not login.
It seems that I get a lot trouble with leopard server. Should I reinstall it or go back Tiger?

Why do I keep getting an Error message when trying to create a unique name for a location on your site. I am simply looking to use your free 2GB space to store some pics and vids but keep getting an error message.

In effect this is a DNS block.
You can do it.
You need to be in an Admin Mac User Account that has non blank password.
Go to the Applications/Utilities folder and open Terminal.
You should see your shortname (the one under the Little House icon) followed by the $ symbol
Copy and paste the bold text below into Terminal after the $ symbol.
sudo pico /etc/hosts
This will load the file "hosts" into and editor that works in Terminal.
Use the arrow keys to get to the line with Verisign in it.
Now type the # symbol and it will be added in front of the character that is highlighted.
The # symbol is either Shift +3 or ALT+ 3 depending on your keyboard layout
Now use CTRL and O keys together.
This Saves the changes.
Quit Terminal.

Error message when trying to create Recovery Media Creation

I have a HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC 15-n235sa and when trying to create my Recovery Media Creation on a 32GB Flash drive it comes up with the error mesage We are experiencing errors in recovering media creation. Please try again.
This is after.46% of Verify Disk section. So it is almost there.
I have tried 4 or 5 times with the same result.

Error message when trying to create EM Repository

The following message came when trying to create the EM Repository:

What could be the problem?

I have installed the newest Java version: Java SE Development Kit 6u24
on Windows Server 2003 R2, but still have the same problem, when trying to
create the EM repository.
I also cannot check Java via command prompt: java -version.
Maybe this is a security issue on Windows Server 2003?

Error message when trying to create realm in OAS

I have deployed my app to OAS 10.1.3 from JDEV 10.1.3.3. I am trying to create a realm so I can set up roles and users but when I hit apply I get the following error message:
An error has occurred.
Error invoking method: addRealm on MBean: oc4j:j2eeType=Security,name=SecurityProvider,J2EEApplication=KATS,J2EEServer=standalone

Error message when trying to add new user

Hello,
Customer is working on 2005B (2005B 7.40.252 SP00 PL39).
They are working on this database since 2009.
No upgrade was recently done.
when trying to add a new user they get athe following error:
"A user was added outsite the application. Delet it, or preform'Restore Numbering' [Message 3512-7]"
Could you please advice.

Go to Administration--> Utility and select the restore no. series.
Update this and try to add User.
But do it first in your test DB.....

Error message when trying to create DMG with Disk Utility

Have a highly confidential folder on my drive, so am driving to convert to a DMG file, with password protection. It gets nearly done with the DMG process then generates Error - 49168.
Anyone know what means?
1.I choose read-write as my access options
2.Under encryption I choose the AES setting. It asks me to create a password and I create one (unchecking the "remember password option, of course")
3. It seems to get through 95% of the process, then produces that error message.

A little Googling suggests that Norton Anti-Virus can cause this problem by trying to scan the image as it's being created. The fix seems to be to turn off NAV while creating the image.
If that doesn't work, I'd suggest rebooting from the system disk and having Disk Utility repair the disk, to make sure all is in good working order.

You can still create universe, just not UNX universe.
If you have upgraded Bi4.0 to Sp01 or SP02 - in IDT it will not let you do that.

Error message when trying to create any query

I am trying to run a query on my sql server and get the following error message:
"An error occurred while executing batch. Error message is: The directory name is invalid."
how do I fix?

With me it had indeed something todo with some temp files.
Me and my colleague where logged on to a remote server (remote desktop connection), and on that server we were both using the sql management studio.
Suddenly we both received the error "An error occurred while executing batch. Error message is: The directory name is invalid.".
The solution for us was just logging out (ALL USERS) that were currently connected (with a remote desktop connection and that were working with the sql management studio) and afterwards logging back in. That solved it here.

Error message when trying to post GR for account assignment category A

Hello gurus,
when I create a PO item with account assignment category A, PO creation works fine. But when I try to post the GR for that item, I get an error message similar to
"Account determination for entry <our chart of accounts> ANL <our company code> not possible".
Any idea what the problem might be?
I have had similar error messages in the past, when the automatic postings where not configured completely. So "ANL" should be some transaction like BSX or something. But I cannot find a transaction ANL.

Firefox 15.0.1 gives an error message when trying to log into my account @u.boisestate.edu

I'm at student at Boise State. When I try to log into my broncomail account, or when I try to access broncomail through the Firefox Mail, I get the following message.
The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
cookies.
Cookies are not disabled, and I've not had this problem with prior versions of Firefox.
The other thing I'm noticing is that the little green circle on the tabs for Blackboard and BroncoWeb often never seem to stop spinning.

If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted. 
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

User gets an Content Encoding Error message when trying to access workspace

Hi.
I've created a workspace and added several users to it who can access it without any issues.
However, one specific user (Leslie Elstad - https://beehiveonline.oracle.com/teamcollab/profiles/[email protected]) can't access her workspaces. She is using Firefox on a Solaris 10 machine.
Here is what she told me:
"I clicked on the Start button under Team Workspaces, which took me here:

Why do I get "generic error" message when trying to upload a self-created, 1hr .wmv file?

I went through the forums and made sure that any blocks or copywrites weren't triggered by the file, it's clean and can be opened using a media player and other video editing software like windows MovieMaker. I keep getting "The importer reported a generic error" message and have no idea how to proceed. Can someone please help?

There is also a link on posting all necessary info, to help others help you.
Without knowing much more about your system, it is impossible to say much beyond that WMV's are tough assests to work with, requiring a lot of CPU horsepower.
