Error message when trying to log on to Desk Top Manager

I tried to log on to my Desktop manager last night and keep getting this same message.
The WIndows Installer keeps coming up and it is looking for the file "Blackberry 7130e.msi". The Blackberry that I had previous to the Curve was a 7130, but I have not had that BB for almost a year. I have used desktop manager many times since I got the Curve with no problems.
My service provider is U.S. Cellular and I have contacted them. The data tech I talked with has never heard of this problem so was unable to help.
I have completely uninstalled all versions of the desktop manager. Reinstalled the most current version and still I am getting this message when I try to open the DT Manager.
I then uninstalled 5.1. The 4. is still showing up in my list of programs when I go to the windows Install/Unistall program. I try to get rid of the 4. program and the windows installer comes up. I click on cancel and it appears that the program uninstalled. If I close Install/Uninstall and then reopen it the program is right there back on the list and has not uninstalled.
I have also searched my whole computer and the installation disk that came with the 7130 and the Curve and the file it keeps requesting is no where to be found.
I have also tried downloading the 7130e download from the BB website and I keep getting the same error message and nothing will install.
I hope you have a solution as I have spent well over 3 hours trying to fix this just so I can use this program with my phone. I am beginning to think I should have gotten an HTC Windows Mobile Device instead.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
A couple of places for you to visit: Blackberry 101 Tips & Tricks
See if this kb helps: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB12847&slic...
I'm not sure that you saw the error msg. included in the kb, but it discusses removing .msi files from previous installations of DM. Post back and let us know how it goes.
Happy to have you here!

I have posted it to your gmail account but I posting here as well just in case I got a crash on my mail client when I sent it. I got a error message for the log4j when I made the change in the conf file.

• Error message when trying to log with more than a mobile account

Hi guys,
I face a very strange and worrying problem : when I log with a mobile account against my Snow Leopard Server, it works. But when I try to log with a second mobile using fast user switching, I have a strange error message saying that I can't connect with this user "at the moment". Once I log off from the first mobile account, I can log with the second one...
It is as if it is not possible to have two or more mobile/network accounts logged simultaneously on the same client. Is this a known problem ?
Thanks for your help,
Eric.

By design or not, this is a flaw, and a huge one ! I wanted to set up my home network so that each member of my family has a portable account. But this stupid design decision makes it impossible, since it makes impossible to have two or more users logged at the same time on a computer. So each time a member of my family wants to log on the family iMac, they have first to ask the previous logged member to log out !
How is that not a flawed design ? I don't even see what are the pros of that design decision ?

• Error message when trying to log in to authorize my computer?

Why will my password not work when I want to authorize my computer with Adobe Digital Editions when I can log into the forum?

And I have more or less the same problem. I can log on to the Adobe site and this forum, but I cannot get my Adobe ID to work when it comes to start reading my book. My password is wrong???
The bookstore I bought my book from is not in the list of stores, so I am not able to try to 'sign in' that way.

• Firefox 15.0.1 gives an error message when trying to log into my account @u.boisestate.edu

I'm at student at Boise State. When I try to log into my broncomail account, or when I try to access broncomail through the Firefox Mail, I get the following message.
The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
cookies.
Cookies are not disabled, and I've not had this problem with prior versions of Firefox.
The other thing I'm noticing is that the little green circle on the tabs for Blackboard and BroncoWeb often never seem to stop spinning.

If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Hi,
I ahve deleted 2 videos by mistake and was wondering if they would be on my iCloud?

If they were in your camera roll and on your phone when you last backed up, they would be included in your iCloud backup. If you restored the entire backup you should recover them.

I get an error message when trying to sign into the support community with another Apple id. On the <pick a username> screen I get "an account utilizing this address already exists.Only one account per email address is allowed on the Apple Support Communities" despite trying a few usernames. Anyone know how I can resolve this?

This problem has been driving me demented. The instructions that Ivan gives have partially worked for me. By following his link
"How to find out if you have multiple Apple IDs" I was able to identify that yes I did have two apple accounts using the same e mail address. One was very old that I used to use for the forum boards and one is my much more recent ID that I use for everything these days. So I changed the e mail address for the old account which is associated with these discussion boards and that's the account that I am now posting this from. However even though the two accounts now have different e mail addresses when I try to log onto the boards with my more recent main apple ID I still get all the same errors as described at the start of this thread by rodgers_j. And of course that's the one I want to use so that I only have one itunes account for everything.
So if anyone has any more hints I'd be very grateful.

macbook pro - iPhoto keep prompting to update after Yosemite update. Error message when trying to update -This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled.

I only have 1 apple ID and the same was used to set up this early 2011 macbook pro and iPhoto app. I don't want to loose out on any photos. I tried logging out of app store and back in but no luck. PLEEAASEE HELPP!!!
This problem has been reported by quite a few forum members, who skipped the update to iPhoto 9.5.1 while running Mavericks. In that case try to purchase iPhoto again instead of updating.
After making your backup try the following:
Uninstall iPhoto by deleting it from the applications folder, but do not empty the Trash.
Launch the App Store, click the "Store" menu, and sign in with your AppleID.
Open the main page of the App Store and search for iPhoto.
If iPhoto is listed as "Free", click the "Free" button to buy it with your current AppleID.
If it is not showing as free, there is no help but contacting the App Store Support, as Niel pointed out: http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact/

HI,
In effect this is a DNS block.
You can do it.
You need to be in an Admin Mac User Account that has non blank password.
Go to the Applications/Utilities folder and open Terminal.
You should see your shortname (the one under the Little House icon) followed by the $ symbol
Copy and paste the bold text below into Terminal after the $ symbol.
sudo pico /etc/hosts
This will load the file "hosts" into and editor that works in Terminal.
Use the arrow keys to get to the line with Verisign in it.
Now type the # symbol and it will be added in front of the character that is highlighted.
The # symbol is either Shift +3 or ALT+ 3 depending on your keyboard layout
Now use CTRL and O keys together.
This Saves the changes.
Quit Terminal.
