Error message when trying to publish web pages

Hi,
I had a problem with some "older" pages not loading pictures on each page. Someone suggested I try "publish all" and now I get this error message:
Publish Error
An error occurred while publishing file "/web/.Temporary Web Resources/F9C31143-DADE-4546-B309-FA11EEE9FA9B" Try publishing again later.
Publishing again later (several times) had no effect--same message. Restoring iWeb to a version that did not have the "publish all" attempt brings up a iWeb that appears identical to the latest version, and all boxes are showing red, indicating a "publish all" step is the only one possible.
How can I fix the error and/or remove the corrupted file?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
My web pages has numerous pages and lots of pictures, videos etc
thanks
hermann

Then publish your site to a local folder and launch it in the browser by double clicking the index.html file to test it.

Got following message when trying to publish:
Publish Error: Asn error occurred while publihing file "/Web/Site/

What does this mean? How can i fix.

If you're publishing to .Mac, try File > Publish All to .Mac

  • Error message when trying to publish iWeb

I am getting the following error message when I try to update my Blog:
An error occurred while publishing file “/Web/Sites/iWeb/The Drytown Project/Blog/Blogfiles/navbar_separator0.png”.
What do I do to fix?

I have gotten these messages, too, and never at the same time or with the same file. Fortunately, I am able to work around them by logging in while holding Shift (to prevent other apps from loading), then publishing all to .Mac. Seems to work reliably, but takes a long time and is a pain in the rear workaround that Mac users shouldn't have to put up with.

  • Keep getting error message when trying to publish imovie '08

    thanks,

That error usually means "Disk Full". Could that be the issue?

  • Fix for "Not Connected" Error Messages When Trying to Access Web Services

If you run across an error message on your printer stating that it is "Not Connected" when trying to access ePrint or your Apps, but you know it is connected to the internet, it probably just means that the printer is not connecting to the server properly.
Here is the first set of steps I would try, since they seem to resolve this issue half of the time.
The first thing I would try in this situation is a network reboot.
First, disconnect the power cord from the back of your router.
Next disconnect the power cord from either the back of the printer or the wall, without powering it off first.
Wait about 30 seconds and reconnect the power cord to your router.
Wait about another 30 seconds and plug the printer back in. It should boot back up automatically, but if it doesn't go ahead and press the power button.
Once everything is back up and running, try to access ePrint or your Apps.
If those steps don't work for you, the next thing would be setting a Static IP & DNS for the printer. Before doing this, you want to print off a network configuration page. It varies from model to model, but it is usually found under the Wireless Settings or under Reports in the Setup menu. After you have that page, follow these steps.
Before we start, we need a network configuration page with your current connection settings. To get this, press the wireless button on the front of your printer and then press "Print Info" or "Print Report". This will print off a network configuration page, which has information on it that we need to complete the next few steps.
After you have that, we will need to access the printers Embedded Web Server (EWS). You can do so by entering the printers IP address (from the network configuration page) into your browsers address bar and pressing enter.
Once there, press the "Network" tab at the top of the page. From there you will want to click the "IPv4" button, located on the lef-hand side of the page. It will be there for WIreless and Wired, so make sure to click the one for you however you are connected. If you do not see "IPv4", you should see "Networking", press that and then press "Network Address(IP)".
Next, you will want to click the small round button next to "Manual IP Address" and then fill in the boxes for IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway, using the information found on the network configuration page.
For the Primary or Preffered DNS Server, you will want to enter 8.8.8.8.
For the Secondary or Alternate DNS Server, you will want to enter 8.8.4.4.
Click apply and when the message pops up saying that the changes have been applied, press "OK".
Press the power button on your printer, wait for it to fully power off and then press it again to power it back on.
After doing this, go ahead and try to enable ePrint again.

The reason we recommend using 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for the DNS server is because they work when ISP assigned DNS servers do not. The DNS server assigned to you by your ISP is not able to resolve the domain for web services, therefore not allowing the printer to connect.
I assure you that it is with your ISP's DNS server and not the printer. If you were to take the printer back to the store and get a replacement, you would have the same issue, unless you changed the DNS. Same goes for any of our web service enabled printers.

  • Error message when trying to publish an existing site to my FTP

My iweb crashed about two weeks ago. I lost it and finally got help from someone at Best Buy. iweb recovered! problem solved! So I thought! Most of my images were gone and I had to update most of my pages. Now when I go to publish, it says page already exist with the same file name and do I want to replace? I say yes and then I get an error message saying "Disk may be damaged or full, or I may not have sufficient access privileges. Can anyone Help??? I tried a few things, with no success.

First, try publishing to a local folder and, if successful, launch this version in the browser by double clicking the index.html file.
If this is OK your problem is with FTP or your server.

  • Constant error message when trying to publish sites in iWeb 2.0.1

    Dear All,
I have a few sites in iWeb (mostly from iWeb 1) and after upgrading to iWeb 2, finding my old sites again and installing the update I decided to build a new site. On completion and trying to publish I get:
Publish Error: An unknown error occurred.
I've tried "publishing all" instead but no change. No problems with iDisk, Firewalls, .Mac etc, however it won't publish to a folder either so it must be the program. Any ideas? Apparently the 2.0.1 update was supposed to fix this, but obviously not.
    Alex

    Alex,
If it won't publish to a folder then there is an element/file in the site that iWeb 2.0.1 is choking on. Normally, even when iWeb produces a publish error during upload to .Mac, it will still write the html locally, to a folder.
Check to see if you have some unusual file extensions on pics or movies.
You can test the worthiness of your iWeb app by making a simple page with a blank Domain.sites file and seeing if you can publish it to a folder.

  • Why am I getting this error message when I close some web pages? Exc in ev handl: Error: Bad NPObject as private data!

This error message recently started popping up periodically on web pages that seem to have graphics or photos. There have been recent Adobe updates, but I can't verify which ones and whether they are the issue. On the other hand a recent Firefox update 7.0.1 indicated it was incompatible with a number of plug-ins? Could that be the source. Incidentally after I receive the message: it comes on twice, I am returned to a previous screen without further problem.

  • Error Message when trying to "publish" webhelp file.

I need help please! After generating the webhelp file, when I click on the publish button, it starts to do what it is supposed to do then stops...giving me an error message that "file is already in use." Any ideas on how to fix this? Tnx!

Forget trying to "publish"....I really just want to send out the htm file out through email for review....Is that possible? When I tried it before, it looked like it was trying to open the file from my temp directory instead of where it is actually located.....

  • IWeb Error message when trying to publish site changes?

The 'publish error' says, "Can’t create the file “mwmac.png.” The disk may be damaged or full, or you may not have sufficient access privileges."
No idea what this means or why I got it. I've published successyfully before. I did add a new jpeg to my file since last file but I can't imagine why that would be causing proglems. Any ideas?
I have the most up to date version of iWeb.

I have the same issue with the same error message, and this does not only happen when I am trying to publish to the internet, but also if I am trying to "publish" the changes to a folder on my mac book first. I don't have Mobile Me, and even if I did that would be defunct now anyway. This is my business & I really need to resolve this! Help!!!

  • Why do I get an error message when trying to publish animate deployment package?

I continually get the following error message every time I try to publish an animate deployment package.  I have no idea what Poster3.png is.  There is no image in my file with that name.  I have tried saving my composition under a new name and it doesn't resolve the issue.  I have no idea how to fix this.

You may get this error if you had done the following:
    - create a comp and save it
    - publish to OEM
    - delete the poster in file system
    - publish again
    Workaround:
Go to the composition click on stage and generate a poster image from the properties panel.
    Now publish again.
Let me know if this works.
