I have the same problem. Deleted the mobile device helper prog. But then I cant update and sync my iTouch. Re-installed iTunes 7.7 and still get the same error message. When I connectiPod error message is along the lines of 'required software missing please try later'.
How do i fix the 'Apple Mobile Device Helper has Stopped Working' problem and get back to using iTunes?
Laptop is runnig 7.6 with no problems.

  • Getting error message with Itunes

Telling me to remove Itunes and reload with 64 bit version. Using laptop with Windows 7, also have desktop using Windows Xp and dont get this message.

    Many thanks.
Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • Error Message with iTunes update

Since updating to the latest version of iTunes, I'm getting an error message that doesn't make sense.
    This is the message:
"Some of the iTunes Store files in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPod because
the iPod may only contain content from five iTunes Store accounts."
    1. I don't sync any music, I put it on manually
    2. I only have 4 iTunes Store accounts, not 5.
    3. It only happens when syncing podcasts. But when I check all podcasts are synced properly.
    Has anyone else seen this?

It is also happening with newer content from the iTunes Store. Any thoughts out there?

  • Strange (to me) error message with iTunes

    Hi folks,
I'm in need of some help! For the past few days, I have been getting the following error message when I attempt to launch iTunes:
iTunes cannot be run because it has detected a problem with your audio configuration
I'm using a Dell Dimension 3000 and running Windows XP. I've used iTunes for 2 years now and never had a problem of any kind. I have McAfee virus/firewall protection, but that has functioned perfectly for the past year, too.
I currently have iTunes version 7.3.0.54
I haven't made any changes to my audio configuration - that I know of - since I got the computer.
Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Rob

    Hey Rob,
I am having the same problem and it just started last night. I have not changed a thing on my computer. I am using Dell Dimension 4600 and running Windows XP. I did try the suggestion mentioned but it did NOT fix the problem. Did you try it? Did it work for you? HELP. I am at a loss.
Thanks in advance for any info and help.

  • Getting weird error message with iTunes Match songs

Two songs (so far) that are in my iTunes library and stored in the cloud through iTunes match refuse to play or download. When I attempt to play either, it skips to the next track. When I attempt to pull them from the cloud and download them to my computer, I get error messages "51" and/or "8271" in the download window. What gives?

    Many thanks.

It sounds a lot like your phone was jailbroken or hacked to unlock it before you updated.
    Was it?

  • Error Message with iTunes 7.3.

'Attempting to copy the disk "Tinchohs's iPod 8GB G2" failed. An unknown error occurred (-54).
I had never had this problem before. I tryed 'restoring' the iPod a couple of times but that did not do the trick. iTunes will copy a lot of the content and somewhere down the process give this error message. If I re-connect afterwards, same error happens.
Any ideas? Can this be related to iTunes 7.3? I had never had this problem.
Could this be an iPod problem?
    Thanks a lot. Martin.

  • Error Message with Itunes "Some of the items in the Itunes Library...

Itunes gives me the following message when I hook up my Ipod.
"Some of the items in the Itunes library were not copied to teh Ipod because they could not be found"
For some reason my Ipod gave me this message. I went through and recopied my songs from the file on my computer and deleted the duplicates that had issues. Everything works fine for awhile. Then I hook it up again and get the error message again. I am not sure what to do now. Any ideas? Thanks for any help you can give me.

I got this message regarding my iTunes purchases when I got a new computer. I had to go into the Store/Authorize Computer... menu selection in iTunes and provide my iTunes Store ID and password. Don't know if this applies to you, but it fixed my problem. Even if you aren't on a new computer you might want to give it a try.

anyone know what is going on???

    Hi, Tworek.
It sounds like, accidentally or otherwise, you have entered another country's iTunes Store. The nature of the music business in the early years of the 21st century is that you are restricted to making purchases in the store of the country in which you reside. For a bit of an explanation, have a look at Scott P.'s User Tip .
If pressing OK on the message box doesn't bring you to your country's store, then scroll down to the bottom of the iTS Home page and select your country there.

  • I replaced the hard drive to a 30gig on my Ipod 4th gen. click wheel but it is still not recognized on my computer or in itunes......I get an error message with a folder and "!"....what can I do to fix??

I replaced the hard drive to a 30gig on my Ipod 4th gen. click wheel but it is still not recognized on my computer or in itunes......I get an error message with a folder and "!"....what can I do to fix??

Have you recharge the battery for at least 2 hours, or just leave it connected for 4 hours?
(When you replaced the Hardisk, you should also replace the battery.)
Some other iPod SSD sites, says that you may have to format the CF in FAT32, as Mac dont read NTFS drive so if Windows is the 1st PC that your CF is connected, it may be formatted to NTFS.
You can try erasing the CF using Disk Utilty, so that Mac can recognise it. (but not Windows)
    Have a nice day!

  • When I attempt to sych with I tunes I get the following Error Message.  "Itunes was unable to load data class information from synch services. Reconnect or try again later."  How do I fix this?  This started happening after I updated to the latest version

When I attmpt to synch my Iphone I get the following error message.  "Itunes was unable to load data class informationfrom synch services.  Reconnect or try again later.  This started after I uddated to the latest version of Itunes. What should I do?

My iPods are working fine...this is just on our iPhone 3GSs....friend said his iPhone 4 was working fine with upgrade.
Tried: the winsock reset, uninstall/re-install of iTunes, shut the firewall down.  Even called Apple...and after 2 hours of being told that "I'm savvy and have done everything they'd recommend" still with no fix...
Still:  Takes over 2 minutes (not hooked up to phone) to open Edit-Preferences-Device...and can't find any backups?!?!  Takes over 2 minutes to even open the phone to change spps, musice, books, etc....but won't let me do anything with contacts...wonder if this is what that error message is about (because I don't actually sync to an email program, I've just kept it all on the phone - mistake).
